I've been a huge La Bicyclette fan since their early days. Leaving the house once a week to purchase some delicious freshly baked baguettes and pain au chocolats while socially distanced was one of the highlights of my week. It has been a pleasure to see La Bicyclette slowly expand-- this Fort Greene location is right across from the park and shares the space somewhat with neighbor Cafe Paulette. The bakery is pretty small, but the banquette seating with the exposed brick give the space a moody, chic cellar vibe. Given the space of the location, this outpost is surprisingly busy and unfortunately understocked. This was the second time in a few weeks that I stopped by late morning only to find that they were sold out of most pastries. I would love if they could extend their operation hours or bake some more croissants. The pickings are slim most mornings after 10:30am.

First time checking out La Bicyclette and I almost couldn't find it haha! The store is a bakery/coffee shop in the morning and wine bar at night. I went later in the day so many items were already sold out, but I managed to check out some of their goodies! The chocolate almond croissant was very tasty with its strong authentic almond flavors and crunchy filling. Only wish the chocolate was darker because it was pretty sweet overall. The blueberry danish was also yummy with prominent blueberry flavors tucked inside the flaky pastry m. The mushroom and red pepper quiche was nicely fluffy and well-seasoned. Would recommend double bagging if you're ordering to-go cause the blueberry jam and some oil of the quiche quickly seeped through. Staff was nice and patient with me! It was pretty quiet when I visited mid-day but I hear it can be really busy. Laptops welcomed. Interested in coming back to check out their other seasonal items and sandwiches!

The location and vibe are amazing, the coffee is great, and the croissants are mediocre (bland)

I've been to both locations--the Times Square one is much smaller, but the Brooklyn location is amazing with a nice sit-down area. I always go back to my favorite, the tres leches cupcakes. I've also tried the lobster tail--it's delicious. Definitely loved it!

I had no problem finding parking. They had a few people ordering at the front, and a few people eating in the back. I perused the available cake (and pie) slices and other smaller baked goods, but did not see the Blackout Cake Slice! When I asked the staff, they regretfully informed me that they did not have slices that day, so I went with the next best option... an 8" cake! I didn't get any writing on the cake, as I already had a Happy Birthday candle, and I didn't want to add extra icing to the cake. I liked how well they package the cake. The box was large enough, and they line the bag with a thin piece of cardboard to stabilize the box. I'm not a big sweets person, but I enjoyed the chocolate-y richness of the cake. The cake itself was moist and the pudding held everything together well. I would be back to try their Strawberry Shortcake and other desserts.

Radio Bakery... is perfection. I completely understand the line…read more I first ordered the heirloom tomato & feta sandwich, which was unbelievable. It is so clear that they use incredibly high-quality ingredients and carefully curate each component, which is exactly why everything comes together in such an elevated way. The tomatoes reminded me of the ones I grew in my garden during California summers as a teenager. Perfectly salted, layered over soft, not-too-tart feta. The focaccia was made with beautiful olive oil and, while a bit chewier than I usually prefer, gave the sandwich a satisfying bite. I had to close my eyes while eating it just to savor it. The chocolate cherry almond croissant... wow. Such a creative combination, and it did not disappoint. Soft, buttery, and filled with a sour cherry compote that reminded me of a cherry cordial from a box of chocolates. 5/5. Hainsley, who helped me, was exceptionally lovely. Everyone even in line was very nice, the vibes were awesome. I'll definitely be back to try the spicy tofu sandwich and the heirloom tomato tart!

While they didn't have their full selection available, there were still plenty of pastries to choose from. We ended up getting the vanilla kouign amann and the chocolate PB&J croissant. The kouign amann was flaky, buttery, and beautifully caramelized. The chocolate PB&J croissant was easily our favorite. It was filled with rich, decadent chocolate and a layer of jelly that balanced everything out without making it overly sweet. My significant other hasn't stopped talking about it since! We're already looking forward to coming back to try more.
