"Charro Beans" was actually a bowl of fat. There were literally maybe 6 beans in the entire bowl, and the rest was just chunks of fat.

This was not a good experience. Ordered from them due to their high Yelp rating, but I received Mole sauce that tasted like BBQ sauce, dry bits of chicken in the enchiladas, and a literal bowl of fat, instead of a bowl of Charro style beans. Honest to God there were maybe 10 beans in the entire bowl, and the rest just thick chunks of fat. See photo (if you dare). Would not recommend.

I've been to a LOT of Mexican restaurants and all of them have been pretty Americanized, but not this one. Truly the first time I've been able to have AUTHENTIC Mexican food. Service was great, ambience really screamed MEXICAN. I will definitely go here again when I'm in hot springs. It's literally a Mexican shop with a restaurant in the back.

WOW, do NOT be discouraged about the location, appearance or that it's not directly on the strip on Hot Springs (Bathhouse Row). This is the most authentic, delicious Mexican food I've had, definitely one of my top favorite places I've eaten. Our waitress was new but she did a great job! First off let me tell you, their salsa is HANDS DOWN the best salsa I've ever had. It was a thicker tomato sauce texture with tomatoes and onions, a bit spicy but delicious. I got a whole tub to go. They also have a red and green salsa they bring in big bottles you can use on your food, the red one was a sweet spicy sauce and the green was avocado based. For dinner I had the Enchiladas with red sauce, the sauce was super sweet and delicious, my husband used the excess on his meal and he said it was the best enchilada sauce he'd ever had. It came with a little rice, I wish there was more because it was so good and some lettuce with some slices of avocado. My husband had the Tlayuda which is basically a crunchier type tortilla with carne asada and chorizo and cheesy. It was to die for good. It had a side of some veggies and it was so authentic. The kitchen is right there and you can see the two people who hand make your meal. There's a cute shop on the other side of the restaurant. Overall one of the best Mexican Food places I've ever been to and you should try if you're in the area!!

The food was chef's kiss! With such an authentic Hispanic glow! I accidentally inhaled the first one... oops!

We found this place as we were searching for Mexican restaurants on Yelp and we are so glad we did. The food was delicious, homemade tortillas and very generous guacamole serving. We went with fajitas and asked for mix, expecting the usual beef and chicken. We were pleasantly surprised when it came out to see some shrimp too! The only downside is be prepared for super spicy salsa. Great taste but SPICY

Not sure why as didn't complain to anybody to get an explanation. Food was decent. Read someone's review about chowder being watery. They either fixed it or had a bad batch. It was good and thick. The crab bisque was no good. Just weird tasting and can't explain how. Had trigger fish which got charged for dinner when we were at lunch and didn't know. It was good the lemon jerk was a nice flavor. The butter potatoes enjoyed and is swimming in it but liked it. The mango cole slaw was just ok. Wouldn't do it again. The crab was crab, not bad. Still was expecting it to be worse as seems like a tourist spot. But not bad. The chocolate mousse thing was great and not too rich as finished the whole thing :)

When we arrived, we requested a table by the front window so we could be away from the walkway where dogs pass through the restaurant. The hostess told us she would do her best to accommodate our request after about a 45-minute wait. When our table was ready, another hostess, Alley, seated us at the back of the restaurant instead. When my mother pointed out that the front window table was still empty, Alley told us it was reserved for an interview. Later, I walked by and saw that same table occupied by another party. When I questioned Alley, her explanation suddenly changed to "confusion." To make matters worse, the manager, John, later confirmed there was no interview taking place that evening. We were given multiple, inconsistent explanations for why we couldn't have the table we requested. As African American customers, it was troubling to be told the table was unavailable, only to later see a white party seated there after we had been told it was reserved. I cannot say why that happened, but I can say it left us questioning whether we were treated fairly. What disappointed me even more was management's response. Rather than acknowledging our concerns, John repeatedly defended the hostess and offered different explanations instead of simply apologizing. Although our meal was eventually comped, neither Alley nor John apologized for what happened. I later emailed management describing the incident in detail and never received a response. Ignoring a customer after an experience like this only reinforces the impression that our concerns were not taken seriously. Customer service begins long before the food reaches the table. Honesty, respect, and accountability matter. Unfortunately, we did not receive those that evening. Based on our experience, I cannot recommend this restaurant.

The ambience is just so elegant and romantic. The menu lights up as you open it and everything on it sounded delicious. The servers, Peter and Emily, were so fun and helpful! They brought out these heavenly yeast rolls basted in truffle butter...what??? I got the market fish special which was grouper, and my husband got the grilled pork chop. Come with an empty stomach if you get the pork chop. It is a very generous portion and is delicious! The grouper was perfection...crispy on the outside, light and flakey inside, sitting atop beautiful spring vegetables and a lovely light beurre blanc sauce. It was topped with edible flowers and micro greens. I regret that I did not take a photo (we were so hungry), but it was just divine. The chef came over to ask what we thought and we told him everything was amazing. The staff were absolutely lovely. We can't say enough good things. This is what a restaurant experience on vacation should be like. What a gem! Hopefully next time we visit we can try the dessert menu! We won't even get into how they make bread pudding out of those delicious rolls...

We happened to stumble upon this gem randomly during our trip to Hot Springs, Arkansas not expecting much but wow were we absolutely blown away. First, you walk into a dimly lit, intimate dining area and seated at a table with very comfy chairs and menus that light up for visibility. Next, your waiter is SO knowledgeable about every item on the menu. I had history lessons about the rice production in the area while learning about which dishes to choose. While waiting for your food, you are served an edgy orange-glazed dinner roll that is simultaneously intriguing and comfortingly familiar. A delicious twist on a classic. The head chef also came around serving an amuse-bouche of another experimental apple dish which was an explosion of flavor in my mouth. Food comes- oh my goodness I cannot explain how amazing the Chislic beef tips were. Every component of this dish was just so thoughtfully crafted and well-blended. Each bite was bursting with flavor and energy. My partner also loved the potato soup. Our mains were equally impressive- my fennel rice in particular knocked my socks off. I have never tasted rice so decadent and aromatic in my life. The salmon was of course great but certainly not the star of the show. Finally, the bread pudding at the end was the cherry on top of the culinary bliss we had just experienced. I would drive 10 hours back to Hot Springs just for this restaurant. So sad it has to be so far. Do not miss your opportunity to come here if you happen to be in town!!
