They give them complimentary treats & a toy that they can keep. A very friendly & comfortable environment. They have a policy about no aggressive dogs, which is good, but they also don't automatically react just because your dog barks while getting used to the environment. We had the breakfast bowl, a bacon, egg, & cheese (not pictured), & lemonade. Our puppy had Ziba's Beef Bowl. My recommendation would be get the Breakfast Bowl with no or less onions. Whatever they're doing behind the scenes with this coffee, it works. Perfectly balanced, smooth, and honestly one of those drinks you think about later in the day. This is a non-negotiable order. And because discipline is overrated on a work trip, I added an almond croissant. I should've gotten two. It's filled with something magical, I'm not even going to pretend I know what it is, but it's rich, flaky, and completely worth it. The eggs left a lot to be desired. The bad: I also got a hot chocolate that unfortunately was Swiss Miss which I noticed after I ordered. Staff was very pleasant and helpful. On our way to the café, we were pleasantly surprised by a tour of Rutgers. The staff at Hidden Grounds are incredibly friendly and welcoming. They're particularly known for their chai, so my friend ordered a Rose Chai over ice, while I opted for a Hot Dirty Chai. Another friend chose the Honey Bee Latte, also over ice. The chai is amazing--it's aromatic and captures the essence of a proper chai. The Rose Chai was very good too, perfectly balanced!
