I added avocado (highly recommend), and it just took everything to the next level. Simple, clean, and absolutely delicious. Then came the honeybee latte, hot and wow. Whatever they're doing behind the scenes with this coffee, it works. Perfectly balanced, smooth, and honestly one of those drinks you think about later in the day. This is a non-negotiable order. And because discipline is overrated on a work trip, I added an almond croissant. I should've gotten two. It's filled with something magical, I'm not even going to pretend I know what it is, but it's rich, flaky, and completely worth it. On our way to the café, we were pleasantly surprised by a tour of Rutgers. The staff at Hidden Grounds are incredibly friendly and welcoming. They're particularly known for their chai, so my friend ordered a Rose Chai over ice, while I opted for a Hot Dirty Chai. Another friend chose the Honey Bee Latte, also over ice. The chai is amazing--it's aromatic and captures the essence of a proper chai. The Rose Chai was very good too, perfectly balanced! Overall, it's a great coffee shop with a lovely space for everyone to sit and enjoy their drinks.

What caught my eye was the New Orleans brew. The barista was helpful in explaining what it was and if anyone has ever had coffee from New Orleans you would know the chicory flavor is a game changer. I had their version of the New Orleans brew iced without the simple syrup and I was impressed. The coffee needed no sugar. It was a bold and smooth taste that blended well with the almond milk. So glad I tried it.. it will be my go to moving forward. Now they had some amazing looking cookies in there that were huge that I will be back soon for. The place is small but a decent spot for getting some work on the computer done.
