I picked up a dozen cupcakes from Chiffonos Bakery for a birthday celebration and they were a hit. The frosting on these cupcakes were fluffy and not overly sweet. The filling on some of the cupcakes was not overwhelming either. It was the perfect amount. The selection of cupcakes was great and will fit every taste. Their coffee is pretty good, but really my absolute favorite thing to eat here is their chocolate dip brownie. It has that crispy edge yet gooey interior that I feel is just right for a brownie. Then top it off by half of it being dipped in chocolate. I mean, what's not alike about that. All in all, this is one of my favorite places to just grab a quick treat. Went here to pick up some cupcakes! Everything I got was delicious, and I really liked how soft and fluffy the cupcakes were. They weren't dry at all, which is great because unfortunately I have a track record of trying out cupcakes from other bakeries & lots of them were dry...yikes. Also, the owner was chill and nice. I happen to call this establishment as it was in route to my sister's home and I didn't want to go empty handed. I asked if they had carrot cake, (my favorite) the gentleman who answered said they had one 6inch cake left. I was in luck, let me tell you how lucky I was to get the last one. This cake was fully loaded of goodness. Pineapple, coconut, walnuts and raisin perfection. One of the best I've had. La Boulangerie was always my favorite and this one surpassed it! My family loved it and was raving how moist and delicious it was, what a hit. We also picked up a variety of cupcakes that were filled with filling. They were delicious! This is a little bakery located in a "plaza" location Northeast Fresno. The place has in and outdoor seating. Very bistro like setting. As soon as I walked in, the man greeted me immediately. He was a very kind soft spoken gentleman. I've asked for 1/2 a dozen of the cupcakes (which was about $23 but very large in size! Totally worth it for the size and quality). They were baked fresh. He was very kind to assist in his favorite and customer favorites. French toast and cookie cupcake was our overall fav! They were all moist and delish. Will be back again! Stumbled upon Chiffonos while looking for a bakery that makes a good Red Velvet cake. Reviews said good, so I placed my order hoping I didn't make a mistake! Walked in, great service & was able to get my order done quickly considering I needed it in a couple days. The cake is absolutely delicious! If I could eat everything nestled inside of Chiffono's Bakery glass display, I would! Still the best wedding cake ever! We special ordered this crème brûlée wedding cake 10 years ago and everyone loved it! The butter cream is so smooth and deliciously sweet no artificial anything, the custard is perfect and the brûlée sugar is just perfect texture. We've tried to come back and order it every year since for our anniversary. We have even ordered it for birthday cakes and graduation. I went to pick it up on 8/29/17 which is the day I needed it. The bakery is located in Upscale Fresno which reminds me of my days when I lived in LA. I enter the bakery and I was greeted by a woman. I was surprised how dead it was. She went and grabbed my cake and I noticed they had Fresh baked chocolate chip cookies so I got once for my niece since she has a cookie addiction. The total for everything was under $50. Which is pretty expensive for a cake in my book. But when I lifted the cake it was so HEAVY. I'm like is this a book of bags or a cake???? Wow. I'm like no wonder it is expensive. I could not wait until my sisters party so she can cut the cake so we can try this beast! The cake is so beautiful no one wanted to cut it open too soon. But we did and man this cake is RICH so much chocolate. I warned the birthday girl that the cake is rich but she did not mine. The cake is delicious but this cake is truly for chocolate lovers! I am not a cake person more of brownie and this cake has more of a brownie feel for sure. It was so challenging to cut the cake due to how dense it is and firm but in a good way. This cake supposedly feeds 8-10 people....it is more like 15+++ because you get so much cake.
