While waiting for some repairs, we stopped here for lunch as it was nearby. It was not very busy which was good as we were hungry. It's casual. No fancy dining here. There are tables and booths. You order at the counter. The menu is on the wall. You pay there, too. They bring your food to you on a tray. They give you paper plates and plastic ware. We shared a half chicken -- all white. We got yellow rice and black beans and plantains as our sides. The chicken was cooked through. The pieces (breast-wing combo) didn't look very large but they had more than enough meat on them. The yellow rice was tender. The black beans rather bland. The plantains were sweet, but I liked them cooked a bit more. My husband got pico de gallo as his sauce -- which was basically onions with cilantro. I got their cilantro sauce which tasted like cilantro mixed with mayonnaise. La Brasa Grill is a fast casual place that offers a menu of Peruvian dishes and are best known for their chicken dishes. I have been to this location several times in the past and have always enjoyed it and since I was in Boynton Beach on business, I thought this would be a great place for lunch and to get reacquainted with a place that I recall as a great place for a meal. I had mentioned that this is a "fast casual" place. If you are unfamiliar with the term, it is just a new buzz word to describe what we would have called a fast food place (though in their defense, this place is a lot cleaner than I remember fast food places in the wild days of my youth). Since I am trying to eat a bit healthier, I went with their boneless chicken with a Caesar salad and garlic potatoes for my sides. The ordering procedure is that you place your order at the counter and they give you a number and eventually will bring you your food. My food was brought out in a relatively quick amount of time and I have to say that it was pretty spectacular. As I said, I am trying to do a bit more healthier, and the boneless chicken breast was pretty good. My normal order at either this establishment or any of the other fast casual Peruvian restaurants is usually they're half chicken with rice and beans. The last time I had the half chicken here, it was amazing. Also, do not miss out on their homemade sauces. On this trip, I had the spicy garlic and the cilantro garlic and both were amazing. If I could give this location a negative 4 stars I would. Ordered delivery and only one out of two were correct. The Caesar salad with Chicken had stale croutons and the chicken was rubber. When calling on the other portion that was incorrect they stated talk to door dash as that is there problem. Spoke to 2 people before they could even find our order. Kept saying we ordered at wrong location which we did not. It shouldn't be hard to find an order by the order number. So food is horrible, delivery by door dash be careful as it's a joke. My order totaled a little over $8 including a fountain drink which is reasonably priced for the quantity and quality of the food. As predicted, the skin of the chicken is thoroughly seasoned, but that's about it. I should have inquired about the sauces they have inside. The white rice was super salty prior to me adding the black beans which made it a lot more bearable. The plantains were the best part of the meal altogether. It's a nice change from the other chain restaurant and drive joints. The place is clean and runs like a top. Service is fast friendly and accurate. They bring your meal to your table which allows you some time to hit the condiment bar. I tried everything and it's all fresh and delicious. My favorites are the spicy onions and the spicy sauce. They are all good don't miss the pickled red onions and the garlic parsley sauce either. The empanada was spot on delicious but the sauces and toppings took it to another level.
