We decided to try the pulpo anticuchero (octopus) as our starter. Holy moly it looked so amazing we didn't want to cut into it but that anticucho sauce was so full of garlic flavors we demolished it along with the potatoes and tomatoes. Listen that sauce was so tempting that we risked cyclospora disease by eating the lettuce. The soup of the day was minestrone which I'm not a fan of but it was a flavorful pesto base so I enjoyed. For my entree I got the pollo la pobre. The grilled chicken breast is always juicy and comes with a fried egg on top if you're looking to up your protein and a ton of rice that I usually cannot finish. I mainly just stuck with the fries on this one. I was so full I could barely eat the sweet plantains. The huancaina sauce (creamy mild spicy cheese sauce) goes so well with everything you will want to keep stuffing your face. Never a bad bite and the staff are always pleasant. Lunch is always a great time here.

We got steak and short rib dishes and the meat was great. The included sides were also very good and the portions were pretty generous. For desert, we got the passion fruit cheesecake. It was very good, especially the crust. The staff were friendly and prompt. The food took a little bit to get out, but it was worth it. I would definitely return in the future.

Everyone loved what they ordered. I got lomo saltado. The meat was cooked perfectly, was tender and super flavorful. I also loved my chica morada (sweet purple corn drink). My sister in law and niece got fried rice. One got chicken and the other got shrimp. They both got huge portions with lots of meat and said they were very flavorful. My husband's quarter of a chicken was very moist and flavorful. My brother in law's sweet and sour chicken was extremely flavorful. We all loved the sweet plantains. Soooo good! Definitely check them out. So many great menu options!

The menu is on the wall and there's a printed takeout menu to look at, also. I liked that they spoke and understood English quite well -- even though we also speak some Spanish, too. We decided to order and share their half chicken, all white (a slight charge), and chose yellow rice (they also have white rice) along with the black beans. The meal also comes with fried sweet plantains. And your choice of sauces. The chicken was perfectly grilled -- cooked all the way through and the skin was crispy. The yellow rice was fluffy. The plantains well cooked and sweet. I got their cilantro sauce and he got their garlic sauce. We both used the sauces liberally. The price for our meal was quite reasonable and there was more than enough to share. And the food was quite good. I'd definitely return and probably order the same thing again.

The burritos are wrapped and lightly grilled and the steak inside was authentic flavorful, and plenty. They also provide complementary chips with a little bit of salsa, which is always a plus. They have a very small indoor section with about two small tables and then a bigger patio section in the back. That's very colorful and lively. It looks like they might have a DJ or outdoor bar in the cooler months, but we visited during summertime and it was pretty hot and human back there but regardless still a vibe. This is a spot where you order at the counter and then they bring out your meal to your table. Everyone was super friendly here and quick. I would definitely recommend them and I will return when I'm in the area. I found them both on Google Maps and cross checked out with TikTok that had raved about this spot. 10 out of 10 for a casual burrito!

The nachos were drenched in mouth-watering goodies like guacamole, brisket, onions, sour cream, peppers, lettuce, goat cheese and lots of other toppings that escape my memory. The restaurant is very small and quaint adorned with colorful paintings. An added bonus is the outdoor eating area that I will try when it cools off in Florida. I was able to take some beautiful pictures. It was self-serve at the front counter. The food came out within a minute! The only issue was parking. The GPS took me behind the building and I had no idea where to go! The strip shopping center next door had signs all over "no restaurant parking." I ended up parking a block down on the street.

On a recent Friday night, we decided to come for dinner. We stopped by early. There weren't any other patrons when we first entered -- only some loud music and one musician taking requests. We weren't that hungry but wanted to try a couple different things, so we decided to share. There was a little bit of a language barrier even though we speak Spanish. We started with their mussels appetizer (choritos a la chalaca). Peruvian style mussels were marinated and topped with chopped onions and tomatoes. We'd said a tiny bit of spice, but they were quite spicy. I ate half of the mussels and left the topping on most. For our main, we ordered the whole fried snapper. Instead of yucca, I asked for salad. We wanted salad and the white rice and the fish. Instead, they forgot the rice and only brought a salad and the fish. When they delivered the salad it was without dressing. We had to flag down the server to get some dressing. We'd asked for oil and vinegar, and we were given ranch dressing. The whole fish was okay. We added a squeeze of lime and salt to help, but it was pretty bland. This place is probably quite busy a bit later in the evening when folks come for the entertainment and some drinks. It wasn't our cup of tea, however.
