My wife wanted fried chicken and I am not a fan of KFC, so I looked online and found Pollo Campero from Guatemala, Surprising very good. Ordered fried chicken breasts with fries and Cole slaw. All very good.

Very first time eating at Pollo Campero in White Marsh MD. Don't waste your money! We could not hear or understand the kid taking our order. I spent $42.00 on 3 meals and the fried chicken was way below par. They threw in a spicy chicken sandwich that we didn't order along with tortilla's we never received. They also added fries that were stale, cold and stuck together. See photos. Once bitten. Twice shy. We won't be back and we definitely won't be recommending this restaurant to our family and friends.

The whole shopping center smells like chicken, very very good chicken. Four of us met for an easy, inexpensive, quick, & very delicious meal. There is plenty of parking in front, and even a Tesla charging station. Clean outdoor and indoor dining and a drive through.. It appears as though Pollo Campero is expanding and opening in other locations around Florida. I didn't realize they do curbside pick up and delivery, there's even a mobile app. The restaurant is immaculate and staff is friendly & efficient. We ordered our meals at the counter, paid, and they our meals were brought to our table. We left our dirty dishes and a tip. We had plenty of food and everything was delicious. The grilled and fried Peruvian chicken was juicy and tasty, as were all of the sides. The rice and beans, yuca fries, sweet plantains were very flavorful.

After seeing photos of their fried chicken online, I just had to come here to try it for myself. Our lunch didn't disappoint. In fact, it was some of the best fried chicken I've ever had. And if you compare it to other fast food places, it's head and shoulders above them. If the setting was more formal, you'd be calling it a gourmet version. This restaurant chain was started in Guatemala. There are a couple locations in Dade, I think. But this is the only one, so far, in Palm Beach County. The place was packed when we stopped by for a late lunch on a Sunday afternoon. There was a line at the counter to order -- and it stayed busy. You order and are given a number. Your food is delivered to your table. There were lots of large families here. They were ordering huge platters and sharing. I now know why. We got their four piece fried chicken dinner that came with two sides. We requested all white meat and paid a bit extra. We got two wings and two breasts. For our sides, we chose plantains, and black beans and white rice. (They have a number of other sides -- including mashed potatoes and gravy which I would get next time.) We also got a dinner roll with our meal (or you can have tortillas). The chicken was lightly seasoned and lightly battered and crispy. The white meat was cooked all the way through inside, yet was still moist. It was delicious. The plantains were very good -- sweet and caramelized. The rice and black beans were decent, but not anything special. ( Note: most folks were ordering their red beans). So glad we came here. We've found our new fast food/fried chicken place.

The fried chicken smelled SO bad like it was rotten. It was definitely old. It's so sad bc this was my first time there. The grilled chicken was yum tho!

Good overall dining experience. While my fried chicken was a little dry (hence the 4 rating) the service was very good and the staff is friendly. Everyone else was fine. While they don't mention it, there is a senior menu. You get 2 pieces of fried chicken and 2 sides. You order your meals at the counter and it is brought to your table when ready. They clean the table when you leave. We left a tip at the table before leaving. Would definitely go back despite the somewhat dried fried chicken.

The five shrimp were poached and served cold. The sauce was slightly sweet. And although there were a lot of chopped onions in it, they were not strong or overpowering. And I liked that their version of the sauce was without mayonnaise. Along with the cocktail came some warm thin slices of fried plantains -- bigger than chips but smaller than chunks. The plantains were a nice accompaniment. I had a beef empanada after the shrimp cocktail. And added a side order of thin and crispy french fries. The empanada was just okay. My husband had their perro combo -- a hot dog Latin American style. The hot dog was in a bun and was covered with bacon, cheese, pink sauce, ketchup, quail eggs, pineapple sauce, and potato sticks. It came with a metal basket of french fries and a soda. He said it was good, but gloppy. I'm glad we came to try them. We realized after eating here that we'd been to their sister restaurant in Greenacres. Service was good. We'd come back if craving a bit of Colombian cuisine.

Paired with your favorite meat, it's a winner. The staff is fun, knowledgeable, and they serve up the fare FAST. We ate every bite. La Casa Mofongo is THE place for Dominican food. Curious and hungry, we decided to check it out. The restaurant is located in a small shopping plaza, and I have to admit, the dark tinted windows made the place seem a little questionable at first glance. I actually got out of the car to peek inside before committing. Once I saw several people dining and enjoying themselves, we decided to give it a shot. Inside, the restaurant was tastefully decorated with a charming Dominican countryside flair. Even the bathrooms had a playful sense of humor that added character to the place. Service started off promptly, and we were seated right away with menus in hand. However, while browsing the menu, I quickly realized that despite the restaurant's name, there were very limited Puerto Rican options aside from the different varieties of mofongo. The menu was overwhelmingly Dominican cuisine, which was a bit disappointing since we specifically came looking for Puerto Rican dishes. We ordered the empanada de cangrejo to start, which was flavorful and freshly made. We also shared the mofongo with masitas fritas, and I will say the food itself was well seasoned, hearty, and satisfying. Unfortunately, the service did not match the quality of the food. Our waitress lacked warmth and wasn't particularly attentive. What stood out the most was that she didn't know what sorullos or alcapurrias were, which caught me completely off guard considering we were searching for Puerto Rican cuisine. Overall, the food was enjoyable, but the experience didn't fully meet our expectations. If you're looking for Dominican-style mofongo dishes, you may enjoy it. But if you're specifically craving traditional Puerto Rican cuisine, this may not quite hit the mark.

It is definitely worth visiting and has many interesting establishments set in a few rows of warehouse spaces, including art studios, restaurants, work out places and other types of businesses. I ordered a few items but barely touched the menu. I recommend the duck empanada, they are very good, as is the spinach empanada. You get one / order.
