If your looking for the complete opposite of what a Whataburger is then this is the place for you. The only similarity is that both places cook their patties on a grill. The LA burger was fresh, thick, juicy and cooked medium as ordered. The vegetables were fresh as well. The bun was not manufactured days ago. It tasted like it was baked the same day and had great flavor. Service was friendly but slow due to the kind of taste confusing menu. It's the only burger menu around like it. You walk up and order/pay at he counter in a line. They bring the burgers out to your table. The soft drinks are generic kola or dr skipper type type choices. Otherwise I'd give it 5 stars. Hip L.A. vibe in a casual eatery that makes you want to just hang out with a co-worker or a friend. I was surprised to find the Korean-fusion inspired menu so I tried the signature L.A. Burger. Talk about "flavor-town"! Spicy kimchi, pickled jalapeños, and a fried egg on a fresh made beef patty with siracha mayo on the whole wheat bun. Mouthwateringly delicious! Paired well with the seasoned stringy fries. I only planned to eat half and take the rest for lunch the next day, but I just couldn't stop until nothing was left. The kitchen made my co-worker's custom burger wrong, but the manager came by and immediately made it right. Had to wait a few more minutes but it was worth it. So excited for LA burger to be in the Plano area. They make the best burgers with Asian flavors. I usually eat at the one in Irving next to work. They have taken the decor on a whole new level with this one with plenty of seating. I tried the new Jefe burger! Mind blown!!! The guacamole puts it over the top with the wheat bun. So glad we decided to check this place out! It was absolutely delicious, and the prices were very decent for the amount of food we got. I had the "El Jefe" burger which was absolutely delicious - the bun was slightly sweet which complimented the salty bacon and guac perfectly. And I could actually taste the guac! The chipotle mayo was perfect. Didn't need anything else. My husband had the "Cali Sunshine" and he loved it as well. The fries were great and I loved that their soda machine was stocked with local sodas. I'm korean and I know how expensive korean food can be, and some places can make you feel out of place. They have a great atmosphere at every location. I'm a big fan so I've been to all their locations. This place not only has great food, great prices, but also I cannot express enough the FANTASTIC SERVICE! This is not a good store or representation of LA Burger. The service is absolutely terrible. I over looked it the time before I came in, but this last time the problem didn't improve, it got worse. I came with a group of 5 this last time and the first guy to get his food I noticed right away the Tatter tots were nearly burnt. He could not eat them. He finished his burger and the couple I was with, who was in the line before me hadn't received their burger, and finally mine came out, but before theirs. I was half way done with mine (eating slow) before they received theirs. My burger was over cooked and very dry. The cashier even confirmed with me that I like med when I was checking out. The last guy didn't receive his burger until significantly after everyone ate. We had already bussed our tables. Another thing I hate is that they ask for tip while checking out. I don't think it's appropriate to ask for tip when you order in line, get your drinks, and clear your table. I added a dollar to my bill, but maybe if this place payed their bad employees minimum wage, the employees would make theirselves useful. read more

Never had such terrible service in my many visits to this location. Took 30 minutes to get my food because no one noticed or even checked that the kitchen staff had completed my order. The two gentlemen that were in line front of me were FINISHING their meals and LEAVING by the time anyone brought me my food. Of course my fries were cold by then. Ridiculous and unacceptable. LA Burger is one of my favorite burger joints, mostly due to the simplicity of the menu. I typically prefer bison as it's healthier, but they do not have that as an option, so I only stop by when I want a real burger. I always stick to the "Cali Sunshine" as it is delicious! The buns are what make the burger! The buns they have here are different from any other burger place I've been to around here due to the fact that they are similar in taste to Hawaiian Rolls. I am not a huge fan of fries, but gave in this time and tried their sweet potato fries. The only fries I like are sweet potato fries. These were good, but not great. Had to add some salt, but there was something different about them. Likely won't go out of my way to order them again. The only downfall of this new location is that they do not have a bar top so I feel as though I'm taking up a table when I eat by myself. Other than that, staff was welcoming and very friendly through out the entire experience. I will definitely stick to this location as it is closer for me. read more

Service was awful. My 1st time there, and the food was good but showed up w/o drinks. We waited awhile then began to eat. Two shakes showed up about half way through the meal, and the 3rd on showed up after we were finished. They guy doing them seemed to be going as slow as possible.
