Which is why I have to say it: I miss the homemade root beer. I mean, isn't that the namesake? Maybe not everyone loves root beer as much as I do, but those flavor combos were out of this world. I also miss the sweet potato chips with peanut butter. Management, if you're reading this, bring these things back! OK, gripes aside. The food is good. I normally go for the chicken sandwich, but the burgers are juicy, greasy, and delicious. I really haven't had a bad sandwich here. I hope they never take the pickles away. That's one of the few edges they have left. Though I'll say the last few times I went, the rinds were pretty chewy. The watermelon tea is great, really refreshing. Service is great too. The staff seem genuinely happy to be there and always eager to help. I also love that they have an outdoor area, which is usually too hot to use, but some evenings it's perfect.

I kept it simple and ordered the "All American" burger with a side house salad. My food came out quickly and was nice and hot. I also liked that they had a variety of housemade and regular condiments available, plus a pickle bar in the corner--which is a fun touch. The side salad was anything but basic. It was fresh, colorful, and vibrant--definitely a win if you're a visual eater like me. The balsamic vinaigrette paired well with it too. As for the burger, it was solid. I liked that they serve the veggie toppings on the side so you can customize it exactly how you want. Just a heads up: burgers are cooked medium by default unless you specify otherwise. Overall, everything tasted great, but the portion was pretty filling--I only made it through about half of my burger. Prices were reasonable as well: $11.50 for my burger and $4.50 for my side salad. I'd definitely come back to try more from the menu!

The second location of LA burger is kind of hidden in a shopping plaza across from HMART, but the burger and fries are just as good, if not better, than the Irving location Had the LA burger with K-Fries and tried some sweet potato fries as well. My complaints about the original LA burger were that the patty was always too pressed and formed. This makes the patty too dense feeling and kinda rubbery. That was fixed here, as the patty had a nice crust, juicy, and not overly formed. Kimchee was good and not overpowering the burger. And the runny egg was awesome. Creates a perfect bite of burger with the creamy egg yolk, crisp and sour kimchee, and the burger patty. Good stuff people They've changed the bun as well with the new location. The new bun is a bit thicker with some sweetness to it. Kinda like a Kings Hawaiian roll. Much better than the older buns they used that used to disintegrate from the juices of the burger. The little hit of sweetness is nice too. All the toppings were fresh and with no excess water on them. Sometimes burger places don't dry off the lettuce and tomato before putting on the burger, which leads to soaked burger buns. The fries were good as usual, both versions. The sweet potato fries had nice crispness to them. This location is great and can't wait to come back. read more

I would not recommend this disgusting place to a dog, let alone people. These people don't care about being sanitary at all. The don't always wash there hands or even use gloves or change gloves when they should. They reuse dirty food storage bags for pre prepping foods. When they should be thrown away and and use new ones for the new food they are pre prepping. Due to the fact that is cross contamination. No wonder I got food poisoning from the chicken tacos I ordered. Anyway they are very unprofessional and unsanitary. The owners allow their cooks to drink alcohol and do illegal drugs like cocaine while cooking and preparing food. They are prejudice and racist people, so I would not recommend this place to the black community at all. If you want a good meal Don't trust family owned business such as this one. They take to many short cuts making it an unsanitary eating and cooking environment. They should be investigated by the Board of health, and pentalized for all of their deficiencies, and or shut down . read more

WOW-OH-WOW! Last week was my first time ever eating here and let me just say, TASTY!! This has got to be in my top 3 favorite burger joints in the DFW area. The LA burger really is fantastic. For those who have watched How I Met Your Mother, my boyfriend and I both had that Marshall moment when he rediscovered the best burger in NY. We were speechless, died, and went straight to heaven. This burger joint does a great job at fusing together the American hamburger with a Korean twist by adding kimichi to its burger along with an egg that just oozes out delicious yolk all over the burger and your fingers. I had the firebeef salad which consisted of bulgogi (marinated beef), tomatoes and cucumber. The dressing is a thick sesame seed dressing that's pretty good, but too sweet when paired with the bulgogi. It wasn't bad, but it's nothing special since there's only 3 ingredients. You can't go wrong with the salad - one thing I'm glad about was that the lettuce was not wilted, turning brown, or lukewarm. For the price though, it's not something I would get often. I also tried the k-tater tots: tater tots with kimchi and other fixings. Pretty good but the tater tots kept falling apart. They were cooked too long and were slightly on the mushy side, but still not bad. My friend had the LA burger and it wasn't as good as the 1st time she had it. Must visit. Just do it. Either location is good. both are wonderful. I have no issue bringing any out of state guest or friend here. This is simply awesome. The LA Burger has a sweet bun, awesome fried egg, kimchi, burger patty, and i think teriyaki mixed together into awesomeness. People have said they havent tasted anything like it. Kim chi fries are good to share, its alot of food so a burger usually fills me up and I eat a few fries that I share with a group. The fries are not vegetarian, but I'm not one so... more for me! Sweet and delicious with enough of everything. Vegetarians can get a veggie patty substituted into any bun too, and they have said its quite good too... and I eat with some super picky vegetarians. so that's some high praise. Got there around 10:30am but realized did not open until 11am. Got some gas and came back around 10:45 the open sign was now on but the door was still locked. I called them and they told me they opened at 11am then hung up (I tried to tell them about the open sign but she hung up too fast). So at 11am they finally unlock and open the doors. I go in wait at the counter for a few min before someone came out of the back room. He then asked me what time it was because they don't open until 11am. At this point I have had enough of their rudeness. I asked if it had not been 11 would he not server me? He said no because they don't open until 11 even though they had the sign on and doors open. Their burgers are really good but I could not take the rudeness any more so I just waked out. read more

When we first found this place we were thrilled! Our favorites were the western burger kfries and the tacos. What really set this place apart was that they used to make real chocolate milk shakes made from real chocolate ice cream not vanilla. I'm sad to report that's no longer true they tried to pass off a vanilla ice cream with a touch of syrup as a chocolate shake so sad. And there is a guy that comes out of the kitchen ranting profanity to customers I don't know if he works there but he's scary enough for us not to go there anymore maybe could have over looked him if they still used real chocolate ice cream for their shakes. The fusion of Korean dishes and classic American meals? Don't mind if I do! First of all, the set up of the restaurant is very nice. It has a very unique style to it, just like L.A Burger's food! I recommend going with a group of friends just so you can have a taste of all the different kinds of dishes on their menu. Can't order all of them for yourself, you know? (Tempting though..) Love the burgers here! Ive had three different ones and the only regret is that I haven't had my 4th yet. But honestly the reason this isnt a 5 star review is because of the PRICE.....seriously UNACCEPTABLE. I like the burgers but I HATE spending more than 20$ on a burger meal for two people Burgers should COME WITH FRIES, the whole buying them separately thing is a great way to make money but also a great way to get your customers to go somewhere cheaper where they can get a burger that comes with fries. read more

This place knows what's up. I used to go to the Irving location, but since the new location is closer, I go here. I've only gotten one hamburger, but I've had it at least 15 times, and nigga, it's fantastic. The Cali Sunshine makes ihop's egg hamburgers look like a goddamn joke. I had the K-Town Burger and sweet potato fries. It was cooked just right and had just the right amount of seasoning. The fries were crisp and the proportion was perfect. I had the bonsai burger and k-fries, and they were absolutely DELICIOUS. The main thing about this place is the freshness of the ingredients. Nothing is too salty, nothing feels heavy, and the food just comes together so fluidly and just melts in your mouth.
