    Texas Burger
    Rahim L.

Looked good from the menu but the burgers and fries had a different story, unfortunately. Texas Toast Burger - 3/5 overcooked egg, not crispy toast, overcooked patty :/ beef bacon was good Bacon BBQ Burger - 2/5 - bun was weird, overcooked burger, weird feeling afterward Fries - 2/5 - Cajun fries had nothing Cajun about it and were stale Service - 4/5 Ambience - 4/5 Place has potential once the food improves.

Drive by this place a lot and after surviving off of chicken based meals for the last eeek I decided to get a nice beef burger that wasn't fast food. Came in right before the lunch rushed and it was empty except for one other person so I quickly ordered the house burger with cajun fries. Took a minute for it to come out but not too long, the fries and burger were fresh and hot. Was surprised that the special sauce on the burger was bright green, kinda threw me off for a second but the flavor was great and I guess that's were they get lime from the name of the restaurant. The fries were nothing special but the were nice and hot which is always a good thing. If there was one thing I didn't care for it would be the prices of the burger not coming with the meal combo and only the burger itself but this is becoming increasingly common so I can overlook it. Next time I'll probably just stick to the sandwich, but overall I enjoyed my visit.

The brisket was tender, juicy, and full of smoky flavor, and the ribs were cooked perfectly--fall-off-the-bone good. The sides were just as impressive. The beans were flavorful, the mac and cheese was creamy and delicious, and the cornbread was the perfect finishing touch. The only downside is that it gets pretty crowded, especially during peak hours, so I recommend finding a seat as soon as you get there. Other than that, the food, service, and overall experience were fantastic. I'll definitely be coming back!

The bark on it was heavily seasoned. Beef ribs were tender but again quite dry and overly seasoned. The dish that immediately ruined our meal was the jalapeño cheddar sausage. The texture was extremely mushy and the meat inside tasted like someone already did the chewing for you. We also got the mac and cheese, corn, basbusa, banana pudding. I could explain them in depth, but I would just recommend not getting them. The brisket empanadas were the only thing we all looked at each other with excitement for! It was our favorite part of the whole experience. Total we spent was $180. I won't be coming back but I do recommend trying it out if you don't believe me!

I ordered the pad woon sen for myself, and the papaya salad for the hubby, along with the curry puffs. The noodles were super dry for some reason, which I have not experienced with other restaurants. The curry puffs were more Indian than Thai. Hubby raved about the salad. I decided to give them another try. I ordered the salad again, plus the green curry (spice level 3) and the veggie spring rolls. Another disappointment, unfortunately. I like spicy food, but this "3" was more like "8". The spring rolls weren't rolled correctly, so one was literally split, with the lettuce falling out of it. After two tries, I won't keep trying it. What a bummer. I will perhaps pick up the salad for my spouse and I will get food from another place.

It's veggie tempura salad! Only one type of veggie was used to tempura with, it's some kind of high-watter content veggie. It's a weird choice to batter and deep fry. The dish was tossed with peanut dressing which made the entire dish tasted like a plate of greasy soggy batter. The presentation of the dish was good, but just didn't taste good. Each ingredient is good by itself, but together is a bad combo. I also ordered curry fried rice, the taste of spices was good, but lack of salt. It also came with a dip that's extremely sweet, I suppose it was for the couple carrot strings on the side? I think I would still return to try different dishes next time, but not a fan of the food ordered during this visit.

We ate pretty early around 5pm, and it was very empty, which was nice because it meant our food came fast. We tried the chicken shawarma bowl and the beef shawarma bowls. The food tasted delicious, but did seem a little less fresh, like maybe it had been sitting for a while, which would make sense because it wasn't exactly prime dinner hour yet, so maybe perhaps left from lunch? Either way, the portions were great, enough to take home leftovers. And the flavor of the meat was superb. They were so warm and kind to our family, especially our two year old. I appreciated the thoughtful touches the staff added to make our dining experience special. It definitely gave the cozy feeling of a mom and pop diner but mediterranean style! I loved it. We will definitely be coming back.

I came in for the soft opening after weeks of renovations, and while the name and menu are the same, everything else is not. This is not the same restaurant. If you knew the original owner, you would know he created something special. It felt like you were being welcomed into his home. He took pride in the food and in making sure every customer felt well cared for. Appetizers always came out first with some friendly conversation, and you could feel the care he put into every detail. That experience is gone. First, I waited 30+ minutes for a dish that normally takes 15, even on a busy night. When I left, a couple who had ordered before me were still waiting for their wraps! Second, the food has changed. The chicken shawarma and gyro recipes are different, and the gyro was actually cold. The sauces, which used to be the highlight, are not the same. The red sauce is gone, and the garlic sauce tastes different. The rice is different. The salad is now a small pile of romaine, onion, cucumber, black olives, and corn with no dressing. Overall, the new recipes feel like a massive downgrade from the original recipes. Lastly, I told the host I would be dining inside, but my food was served in plastic containers. Meanwhile, a nearby group that appeared to be staff or family was served plated food that looked noticeably fresher and better prepared. It honestly felt like their food was prioritized over paying customers, which may have explained the delays. The menu photos have not changed, but they no longer reflect what is actually being served. That feels misleading, especially for customers like me who were excited for the reopening. Very disappointing.
