This place is an excercise in fast food efficiency. If you order one of their main dishes, such as chicken or beef terriyaki, you can be in and out in a couple of moments. I ordered shrimp terriyaki which required them to prepare it when ordered, I presume because they do not sell it often enough to keep orders ready to go. Once I got them, within about 7-8 minutes, I was pleasantly pleased. For 7.95, I got 8 decently sized Shrimp, perfectly grilled, a nice serving of freshly steamed rice, and some coleslaw. Hands down one of my favorite places to get lunch! It's always hustlin' and bustlin' here! They remember you and what your preferences are! It really means a lot that they take the time to get to know the people that stroll in! My favorite is the Katsu chicken. The cole slaw is an awesome homemade and creative spin off of the traditional Korean kimchi. (And if I could order just the cole slaw/salad, I would ask for a tub to take home!) #2 spicy chicken is another favorite of mine! The chef really works magic to make sure that it's moist and consistent -- EVERY TIME!! Don't forget to get the eggrolls. They're fresh and made every morning! Hot and crispy when it's given to you! This place closes at 7:30 pm but because I didn't expect that, I showed up after work around 6:50ish. I saw their business hours as I pulled up and decided to go in anyway. My mistake. I walk in and yes, I saw the life being drained from the owners' face. The one behind the counter grudgingly walks up to the cash register and stares. I order the spicy chicken teriyaki and gyoza to eat there (I can eat extremely fast) He says one word the entire time, "Drink?" I ask for water and he sticks his hand out like a kid waiting eagerly for some candy on Halloween. I give him my credit card and he hands it back. Doesn't give me a drink cup nor my receipt to sign anything. The food is ready in 3 minutes in a box and I see the cups up front so I grab one. Since I don't drink sodas, I look for water. There's no water in the water dispenser. There's no ice. There's no tea. The drink machine looks like a prop item from a movie set because nothing is working. I put the cup back and begin eating my food. Food is actually really good! I mean, it's fast food Japanese style but the rice was good, chicken was incredibly tender and the slaw has a nice acidity to cut down the sweetness of the teriyaki sauce. I'm five minutes into my eating and the man who took my order just kinda glances at me every few seconds to see if I leave. I feel like I'm in an episode of "24." I hear the clock loudly and dramatically ticking down. I think to myself, they still have 20 minutes left! (TICK TICK) The owner has had enough of me and walks over to the Open sign to turn it off. Alright...I can tell when I'm not wanted. I get up and my face resembles the socially awkward seal meme and I try to look sad. Being that no one else is in the parking lot, my car is RIGHT in front of the door. No sooner than I walk to my car (I'm talkin' 2 steps) I hear "CLICK" and see the guy lock up behind me. I've been going to this place since 2006 or 7 and just went on March 16th 2022. Order the same thing I always order double chicken number two with double rice. Absolutely no teriyaki sauce on my chicken at all nothing but hot sauce so hot I had to Pat it down with napkins in my car because the owner wanted to argue with me and say that teriyaki sauce is mixed in with the hot sauce. A little teriyaki place on a corner in the industrial park, it was very good. The teriyaki flavor was delicious and the meat was very good. It was a little pricey considering they give you rice, the meat, and a side of coleslaw for $8. Most places when you get teriyaki, they give you vegetables or a side of something more substantial, but the flavor was good and if you're not a big eater then it's a great place. read more

I always forget to write a review for this place. But mainly because I'm too busy stuffing my face or in a food coma afterwards. I've been here 10+ times at lunch. Everything is under $10. Which is amazing for this area. They also open at 10:30am which is also nice. Their menu is simple, white steamed slightly sticky (my favorite), coleslaw (you can ask for double rice if you don't like coleslaw), and a meat (or veggitarian choice). Everything is grilled fresh daily. They give you their house sauce which is superb! And the portions are generous. I've had just about everything except the lo mein. You can't go wrong with anything on the menu. The people, I'm guessing family owned, but everyone helps and they are super nice. Came here this past summer due to the excellent reviews. It was a weekday, so lots of lunch crowd. Ordered the beef terri, chicken terri and chicken katsu. Overall, it was ok, to be expected as fast food. Something you can easily find at most mall food court. The food at this place is shockingly delicious - simple, but flavorful and plentiful. The prices are low, the service is good and the food comes out FAST. Prices start around $5-6 during lunch. Egg roll is a little over $1 but it tastes really good and it's big. Soda is $1.50 i think, typical free refills in good TO-GO cups. +1 for that minor details. The cashier seems like she could be the owner, older Asian lady and very friendly. Broken English just adds charm to the whole experience. :) She was good at her job and was quick to serve. I'm pretty sure I waited less than 30 seconds for my food after ordering at the front. I was like... "UH.... YOU SURE THIS IS MINE? CAUSE I JUST ORDERED LIKE 10 SECONDS AGO!?!". Than I had a big smile on my face. Don't let this scare you, my food tasted fresh and realllly good. The white rice was just the right amount of sticky. OMG where do I start? I work nearby and normally bring my lunch because I don't like the hassle of leaving and coming back. I was craving something different and decided to check out Tokyo Teriyaki and I'm so glad I did. I walked in was greeted and the menu was straight to the point which I like. I ordered the # 2 mostly based off the fact I love spicy food and it seemed to be a favorite of the people who ordered before me and those dining in. The place was clean and I could actually see them preparing my food as I waited. It took approximately 7-8 minutes for me to receive my food. The portion size is enough to feed two people, the chicken was tender and was seasoned to perfection, the rice was sticky and I loved it, and the cabbage slaw paired perfectly with this dish. This little place is in a strip mall literally across the street from my work. Most days, when you exit my building you'll get a big whiff of YUM coming from this little shop! The shop itself is nothing fancy... just a bunch of tables, each with a GIGANTIC bottle of sweet, thick almost-teriyaki sauce. I don't know what it is exactly, but it makes everything taste better; ask for a little to-go cup of it. My boss LOVES this stuff, completely drowns his rice until it won't even stick to itself anymore! It's good, but not good enough to make rice soup out of it. :) Speaking of rice, they have the good shortgrain sticky rice, and they are VERY generous with it. They're also very generous with your meat - I love the beef or spicy chicken teriyaki (medium spicy), but the yakisoba (noodles, no rice) is also delicious, especially with shrimp. About 90% of the menu is between $5.50-$6.50. Because of the same boss, I know that you can request extra meat for just $3 more. But honestly, if you're not a giant like he is, the regular order is a pretty big pile of food and should do the trick. They do a very brisk business but are still very quick, are very friendly and have always gotten my order correct... and I even love that crazy, squeaky, lightly pickled cabbage weirdness they put in the corner of your styrofoam tray! I'm so glad this place is only a couple blocks away from where I work. The food is standard Japanese fast food, but it's delicious. I stick to the traditional beef and/or chicken teriyaki and rice (#9) not because it's the only thing that's good, but because it's one of my favorites. I've tried the chicken katsu (fried chicken patty) and loved it but teriyaki is by far the best option on the menu. The rice is fantastic. And it's not the wimpy long-grain rice you find at some Asian places. It's the REAL short grain stuff that sticks together in clumps, therefore making it easy to pick up with chopsticks. I've tried the gyoza which is also good. Not extraordinary, but tasty. And the teriyaki sauce? YUM. I'm not even sure if they make it from scratch but the only teriyaki sauce i've tasted like that is home made. They do serve a side of pickled cabbage stuff (basically shredded cabbage in this sweet brine) which isn't bad. Had i known I could skip the cabbage and get extra rice, I might opt for that next time instead. Here's a tip: if you plan on going here for lunch, consider going early like around 11 or 11:30-ish, especially if you want to eat in. This place gets VERY busy around lunch time--so busy that a couple times I've had to take my order to go because there was no where to sit. read more

Love this place! I have it at least 3-4 times a month. The lady at the register is quick and always remembers orders. I walk in and she knows what I order. They let me call in orders in advance and then pick up is great. I order when I'm walking out of the office, 10min later my order is ready at the register for pickup. Great Beef Teriyaki. It's very similar to the Korean dish Kalbi. The beef had hardly any fat on it and was grilled perfectly. You're given white rice and a pickled cole slaw salad with your dish for about $6.00. The helpings are so large that I couldn't finish my to-go meal. Seriously simple and delicious. It's just char-grilled chicken and thick sticky rice - but when you add the house teriyaki sauce to it, something amazing happens. After my first visit, I did some research to figure out what is in teriyaki sauce thinking that the main ingredient was refined Japanese crack - but it's just some honey and soy sauce basically. They get quite a bit of foot traffic and don't be surprised to see a crowd. Thankfully, the employees are used to the heavy flow and keep things rather fast paced.
