Attended a dinner here after a baptism and the service for such a large group was impeccable They had enough vegetarian options for me and they ALL tasted amazing, even the salad was good The only little issue was their bathroom situation, the downstairs was a bit flooded and there was only 1 stall upstairs so there was a wait to use it. Also accessibility to the bathrooms are a bit difficult if you need wheelchair access, as it's a step up or a flight of stairs down. Other than that, excellent food

Dinner with friends with reservations on a winter evening. Parking and entrance in the back of the restaurant (not the street entrance side). Dinner and service were good at this family owned restaurant. Make sure to make reservations as it was crowded for weekend dinner. There is a bar as you walk in. Restrooms are downstairs. They have comedy night - dinner and a show at times. Variety of choices on the menu, include coctails, wine, and other beverages. Also dinner specials as well. Lighting is dim for dinner. Complimentary warm bread as you wait for your order. Drinks: Soda and ice tea $4 each which includes refills. Malbec for the wine enthusiast. Appetizers: Shared the burrata (very creamy) and grilled octopus (was ok) Entrees were filling: Fruitti di mara (seafood pasta) with linguine as $5 add on. This was good an filling dish...had to pack it home for another meal. Some dishes do not come with pasta automatically so do ask. Other entress: Broccoli de rabe with sausage, pan seared salmon with fennel and asparagus, and caesar salad with chicken. All dishes were good and filling. Too full to have dessert so will have to come back another time to try other dishes and save room for dessert. Note: They do kindly ask to leave tip in cash (you will see when you get your bill)

My family and I ventured to La Bussola located on School Street in the heart of Glen Cove for their April special: every Monday in April they offered 1980's prices. We scored a 4pm reservation for 4ppl and were seated immediately. Parking is easy; there is a small lot in the rear of the restaurant, where the entrance is, as well as a multitiered parking garage (free). Because of the special going on, everything was ala carte (totally understandable). A suggested gratuity was stapled to the check. I agree with this since the prices of the food were 1980's--the tip should be 2022. THE GROWS: At first we attempted to enter the restaurant on School Street, only to find out the only entrance is in the rear. Don't know if we missed the signage, but we had to walk around the building. THE GLOWS: A warm bread basket was brought to our table immediately upon sitting. The bread was fresh, warm, and there were two kinds for us to choose from. Our water glasses were refilled constantly. We ordered the eggplant parm, shrimp oreganata, veal rollatini, and filet of sole meuniere. We shared a stuffed mushroom appetizer as well as fried zucchini. For sides we chose the angel hair pasta with meat sauce and the sauteed escarole. The food had that homecooking feel of an old-school Italian restaurant. I thoroughly enjoyed each and every bite. The food was served hot, presented beautifully, and none of the items I ate had me grabbing for extra water (too much salt is a no-no for me at a restaurant). When it was time for dessert, another person came to our table to take the order for coffee and cappuccino. We learned that his name is Brandon and he is the grandson of the original owner. He pointed out the picture hanging behind our table; it was a beautiful 1950's wedding picture. He said, "that's my grandpa there." He further explained that they do the April 1980 price special in honor of his grandpa. What a sweet and pleasant young man he is. He asked us how our food was, valued feedback, and said he hoped we come back again. I cannot wait to return! This is the type of place that is a favorite but locals, but also warrants a drive just to eat there.

Enjoyed a great meal at La Bussola with family. We sat outside for dinner. We were close enough to hear the band at the end of the road so it was nice. They have a extensive menu that made it hard to decide what to have. In addition they have specials! I had chicken parmigiana and it was amazing. Glass of Chianti with it was perfect. They have a very good marina sauce that made even more enjoyable. Enjoyable meal and great atmosphere.

Got lucky on a Friday night. Spoke with Armandowho set us up with a 5 top at 7 pm right in the middle of a concert on Main Street. Started with some libations then burrata & tomatoes and meatballs. Onto chicken parmigiano, parpadalle with veal rage, ziti and fossilized. No room for dessert. Everything was hot, deliand plentiful. Great experience, looking forward to returning again soon. Enjoy!

I'm a big fan of the WHILE IN KATHMANDU in Ridgewood, Queens, but have only been there once because…read moreparking is horrendous in that area. I was so happy to hear that they opened another restaurant in Glen Cove! Plenty of street parking is available, and they even have a shared parking lot in back of the restaurant! I parked in the back, and entered the restaurant via the backdoor! Note that there are stairs at the back entrance, so if you can't do stairs, it's best to park in front of the restaurant. This Glen Cove locations is lovely; beautiful murals and great vibes. I was shocked and sad to see it so empty on a Saturday evening! I hope more people give this place a chance because the food and service is great! This was our Shared Menu (plenty for 2ppl, and we had leftovers): -- Water Buffalo Momos w.Chili Sauce (8pcs/$18): the Momos were tasty; the meat was very lean. I would skip the Chili sauce next time. I didn't like the sweet and sour taste of the sauce, so next time I'd like to try the steamed Momos with Johl sauce instead. -- Choila Roti "Not a Taco" with Jackfruit (2pcs/$12): Not a Taco but similar to a taco. This was delicious and I'd get this again. We choice the Jackfruit version but they also have a chicken version. -- Masala Wings (Sauteed wet version) (4pcs/$11): I remember really liking the wings when I was at the Ridgewood location but couldn't recall which wings we had. On this visit, we had the wet version which was good but I realized that I like their dry version better. -- Grilled Lamb Chops w.Timur Sauce, Veggies & white rice (2pcs/$25): Surprisingly, this was my least fave dish of the night. I normally love lamb chops but these chops didn't really have a nice seared taste to them. The texture was a little off for me. Also, it was very boney with not much meat. I would try another entree next time. All in all, a good meal! I found the large selection of appetizers more interesting than the entrees, and would have been happy just sharing a bunch of appetizers and small plates. Customer service was welcoming and friendly! It was a pleasure to chat with the owner. Nice addition to the neighborhood!

We got seated right away in their cozy dining room. We ordered the Not a Tacos, chicken momo jhol style, the chicken thuka, and the masala wings dry style. I also got a chiya. Everything we ordered was immaculate and delicious. Since this place was envisioned more as a hangout space, the portions are shareable so that you can drink and chat with friends. It was the perfect size for us. Our favorites were the masala wings and the momos. Those wings were so crispy and cooked to perfection. If we were local I'm sure this would become our go-to spot.

It's been a very long time since coming here last and we had many other local options but wanted to revisit. Parking was a non issue in the busy shopping center. We walked in and were greeted by the gentleman behind the counter. Eventually someone came to the edge of the seating area to seat us. We sat (4) in a clean booth. There was only one other occupied table at 5pm on a Saturday and the pizza side had one person at the counter. A gentleman named Felix came over to take our drink order. He was kind but didn't really check on us throughout the meal. Instead, another server? stopped by at the end. I was confused and asked if there was a shift change. She said no, she was just checking in. Drinks came with a basket of bread that resembled pizza crust and packaged butter. It was dry but tasted ok. Table water tasted like it was straight from the tap and was not good. All served in plastic cups. Ordered was 2 regular slices for a child, one personal margherita pie, and 2 orders of chicken francese over linguine in the same sauce. The 2 slices came out 1st, which was ok being that the child was hungry. Then the Margherita pie came out, and about 5 minutes later, the chicken dinners came out. It would have been nice to get everything all at once but I understand it was being cooked it 2 separate places. (Back kitchen/front pizza oven). Everything was hot. The waiter did not check on us, we had to ask for extra napkins and grated cheese. The regular slices were "a 7.2" on the pizza scale, says the tween. Nothing left behind. The personal Margherita pie was ok. The crust was so thin that the tomatoes on top completely soaked through and made it impossible to pick up. A very wet pizza for a thin crust. The chicken francese dishes were also just ok. The sauce was insanely lemony, and we love lemons! It was also heavy, not a light refreshing sauce. It was on the thicker side. The chicken was very chewy. I don't know if it was overcooked or just not great quality chicken. Good portions, but very chewy. The linguine underneath was perfectly al dente. No one took any used plates off the table or offered drink refills. Bread wasn't even used to sop up the sauce. They charge extra for using a credit card. It's stated on the menu (as a cash discount). I thought that was not allowed any longer in NYS, but we didn't have a choice. This place is convenient. And each time we come, we're hoping to be wow'd, but it never happens. As we were leaving, one table had joined. You'd think it would be packed on a Saturday night. The same gentlemen at the pizza counter greeted us on the way out. We may try other places when back in the area but we may return. Nothing was bad, it just wasn't as memorable as we wished it was...except for the company!
