Food was not great. Their barbacoa had a weird aftertaste and was cold, took one bite and left it there only to find out they charged 4.00 for the taco??? They charged for every little thing. We gave this place a try and never again.. What we usually order as a family usually comes out to about 35 at other Mexican restaurants.. here it was about 50-55.. It's been about a year since last time I dined at La Cabana Mexican Restaurant. Chips & Salsa are still complimentary, Salsa is zesty & flavorful, chips are a bit too greasy. I ordered the Thursday #1 Lunch Special, 2 Enchiladas, 2 Beef Puffy Tacos, served with rice & beans. Enchiladas were good, even though not made with real cheddar cheese. I believe it was prepared with either American Cheese or processed cheese!? The Beef Puffy Tacos were also good, not too greasy, puffy taco shell was light & beef portions were satisfactory. Beans were fairly good, rice was impressively good. Tortillas are homemade, both flour & corn, which is a great thing! Over all, I enjoyed my meal, my server provided outstanding customer service! Daily lunch specials do not include iced tea, like some restaurants offer. But still a good value considering the portion size....you won't leave hungry!! On the down fall, only 1 daily lunch special is offered. It would be great if there were additional selections. Regardless, I will still revisit to explore the menu more. read more

Price .. quality .. integrity... 5.00 for a 4 oz cup of salsa? 1/4 bag of chips .. up to 3.00 for a tea in a Styrofoam cup .. and a cost of about .50 for each Styrofoam togo plate ... plus the high cost of prepared entries that are all mixed in diffrent plates ... loke ... I order a meat taco plate .. I get tacos with picadio insted of taco meat .. same thing in enchilada plates ... beef enchiladas made with picadio mix... its like all the entries have pico insted of what the order should be ... same with the puffy tacos ... I try not to go there ... including that its close to home ... but still not the worth. read more

The service was okay. Table was dirty when sat down. Didn't get what I ordered, but it tasted good. This is the only Mexican restaurant I know except Taco Bell that doesn't serve beer. It wasn't bad, but it wasn't good. I wouldn't come back though. read more

This place never disappoints. We always do carry-out. Had lots of family in for a special event. This was our go-to restaurant. Every time our som comes to visit, he wants to eat here. The burrito is my absolute favorite. The ladies taking the order and cashing us out have always been so friendly. Even during the pandemic, they were just happy to be open. I love La Cabana now since Sely's owns it. It's open 7 days a week which is great! I love how nice and friendly everyone is. The food is great, the same as Sely's. They have great authentic mex dishes and plenty of daily specials that last ALL DAY long not like other places that stop at a certain time. The only draw back. Love the food and staff is friendly especially Linda,, BUT if you order to go they add a fee to every container you have EVEN your drinks!!! I had 1 kids plate, 1 order of enchiladas, 1 chalupa plate and a lemonade came out to $27 smh. Also,, you would think that they separate the chalupas so they weren't so soggy! My family and I have been coming to this restaurant for years! My mom and I seem to be the only ones who ask for the chicken mole ENCHILADAS! Some ppl probably think this dish is gross, it's not. It's just a chicken enchiladas (3 sometimes 2) with mole sauce and cheese on top, that's it The beef fajita plate is great, and the Alambres aka Shish ka bobs, this dish in particular takes awhile to prepare. Always enjoy eating out here, especially their appetizer of chips and queso there is nothing else that compares to taste I find here. Salsa is also good flavor if desired you may ask for a hotter tasting salsa, but I quite enjoy the actually flavor of the house one. Great restaurant! A little off the path for our trip home but totally worth it. Fajitas and their Sunday special, sour cream verde enchiladas were delicious! Everything was very fresh tasting. The owner and his son were pleasant! They looked like they were remodeling their patio at the time.
