It's always the holes in the wall that are the best and this is one of them. Whenever I'm in Florida, this is my go to. The empanadas are amazing and are a good size. I always get chicken. They have regular and Tinga chicken and at times, their Tinga is more hot and spicier so it's a hit or miss with that option. Their sopes are also a good portion and taste great. This place is small and usually crowded and not much space to sit and eat, so I recommend ordering in advance and take to go which is what we do. The ladies behind the counter are pretty reserved but pleasant. The only cons and why I would deduct half a star is due to this place only accepts cash, although they do have an ATM stand with a surcharge inside. Also, parking is very limited. This place is small, cash only, hot inside, and quite tasty! There is an ATM if you don't have cash but please note, it charges $3 for a withdrawal. We got our food to go and that's what I recommend to you. Two ladies are taking orders by phone and in person while they cranked out zillions of fresh tortillas. They had a huge bin of masa and were measuring, pressing and grilling the tortillas by hand! I had to wait a bit since there was a line and a significant number of phone orders with people coming in to pick up. But hey, it was Cinco de Mayo! We couldn't even get in to the first Mexican restaurant we tried but this plan B worked out just fine! My wonderful wife really enjoyed her authentic cochinita pibil tacos that come with an amazing, flavorful and spicy hot sauce sauce on the side. I got a burrito for tomorrow and I ordered a quesadilla but it tasted like tacos and wasn't grilled. I need to work harder on my Spanish because I suspect my order wasn't clear but no complaints from me! Some of the dishes come with guacamole and sour cream on the side which helped cool down the hot sauce. The beef empanadas and my so-called steak (the same beef as other items) were quite bland so the hot sauce is necessary for sure. Salt would also help. We also got a large horchata which was nice and cool and flavorful. Life is good with authentic tacos! Just stay away from plain beef or chicken. read more

Amazing! This place is as authentic mexican as you can get. They make their own tortillas, gorditas, and everything else made of masa. Its a tiny place with only 3 tables and they were busy today (Sunday) around noon. I found this place on yelp and it did not disappoint. I had carnitas gorditas and 1 steak taco. My wife had a torta de milanesa and a carnitas taco. All the meats were cooked perfectly and tasted wonderful. Im looking forward to going back and trying the many other items on the menu. First let's start off by saying that $3 for tacos is outrageous .... Second, the tacos didn't taste seasoned or fully cooked. Given that I paid $3 for a single taco I was expecting that they would be some of the best tacos that I have had given they are significantly overpriced in comparison to nearby taco shops. It was also alarming to find out that they don't accept cash... (maybe something the IRS should look into since they don't accept any card transactions) this should be something that we are told prior to arriving at the taco shop. Overall a terrible experience, and the service we received at the front was terrible. She was rude and didn't seem to like her job. I won't be returning and I would suggest others don't as well. Tried the pastor, barbacoa and carnitas tacos. All were very good. I'm a fanatic of chorizo but liked pastor better here. All were very tasty. Note, these tacos just come with cilantro and a wedge of lime, nothing else. No onions. The salsa was absolutely delicious. I poured a ton on my tacos. The inside smells like a deep fryer and is grungy; this is a take out place. Frequented by loads of mexicans buying pounds of tortillas at a time. Legit. Why not five stars? Improve wait times. We ordered there and waited and it was a bit long considering what we got (6 tacos). Also, I'm a stickler for good customer service and they basically had no service. I ordered a breakfast burrito, the only options were ham or chorizo so I ordered it with ham and when I picked it up, I was shocked. I'm used to nice fluffy scrambled eggs with the meat and then cheese and frijoles- this was a rather flat soggy flour tortilla with a flat pancake of over fried egg, too much cheese, and just cheap ham. No salsa, the guacamole was completely bland., And, it was $13! $13 for breakfast burrito?!.
