Great food and here we go., I enjoy the food, friendly service and an ambiance of celebration from someone's birthday or 5 de Mayo every time. La Cabaña has a good assortment of Mexican food that spreads the entire Mexican territory in my opinion. Because South, Central, Northern Mexico has their own unique style and flavor. These regions will call some main dishes by the same name throughout the country But they are different in with the meat used, prepared and served. Made or cooked with different methods and with different sauces and even peppers, La Cabaña is much more a Mexican style food restaurant with a broad menu of dishes that identifies with different parts of Mexico in my opinion. Barbacoa, carne guisada, bistec and huevos Rancheros are different across the country but are named the same. Beef is predominantly Northern , lamb and pork is Central and each of those will trickle down into the Southern region like Yucatán where chicken , pork and sheep along with ground meat (albóndigas) and fish, shrimp and ceviche dishes is mainly coastal tropical areas If you are not sure what you would like to eat, give yourself some time to read the menu. It's not just choosing one of fifty five enchiladas plates that taste the same almost. La Cabaña has a good verity of selective Mexican food dishes. I enjoy eating there every time. Bad food. Pork tastes rancid and everything tastes like cheap grade lard was used in it. Verde sauce was weak, and nearly non-existent on a verde dish. read more

If you like piña colada, rain or shine this is the place to go! Their blended piña colada daiquiri was a nice treat and supplement to the chips while waiting for the food. They have an extensive menu I had to settle for my default bistek a la mexicana before I got overwhelmed with picking one. My friend ordered an enchilada, which I thought would have been a great option too! My decision was still a good one. I'll have to come back to try their enchiladas. I ordered a second drink, the blended mango margarita which was another great choice! Can't say there was anything fundamentally missing from this place! Not sure why it was rated three stars. Maybe cause they ran out of hand soap or waited a little to pay the bill but I wasn't in a hurry to leave and I was able to squeeze enough to get a little lather in. read more

We love this place to satisfy Mexican food cravings. It starts with salsa and chips- the right amount of chunky and spicy in the salsa, with crunchy and salty chips. We've eaten many things on the menu, most recently taquitos, it's all delicious. Friendly staff and fast service. read more

Wanted to try a Mexican restaurant while in town and went with this location down the street from our hotel. The food was super super good, and my lime margarita was only $3.75! Wow! The food came in large portions and was well worth the money. Our waitress was super nice and personable. read more

I stopped for lunch on 8/14, wasn't busy at all. Food came fast, however the overall service was poor! The food was less than marginal, little fruit/food flies were all over the place making that experience disgusting!!!! Way over priced! Customer service is subpar as well! I've been there a couple times my mom had gotten something and it was so over cooked she couldn't cut it. she complained and sent it back. they wouldn't take it off the bill and proceeded to argue with us. We just paid and left. I was a little disappointed. read more

Decent prices. Atmosphere isn't bad. I will say this was my favorite restaurant in the area. Was. Had an interesting moment recently where one waitress brought out our food, and another came by shortly after shouting at us that that was meant for a different table- the second waitress actually TOOK the food we had, and served it to that table! Which seems very unsanitary considering we had already started eating!!! Our server also left mid meal and it took about 40 mins for anyone to help us after that. I love the food here. I can eat just about any of it and love it. What I don't like is the cross language mix up. It is hard to explain what you want when the staff's first language is Mexican and mine is not. I order one thing and get another about half the time when I order out. When eating in, it is never wrong. you get the free chips when you eat in but not when you order out. I don't get the concept of that because I love the chips. if they cost $1 for take out, it should cost the same eat in. you don't pay less for the meal to take out and the containers are surely less than plates that have to be washed and a table that has to be cleaned up after you are done. read more

Coming from Milwaukee which has an awesome array of authentic Mexican places this is not even close. But with nothing else around the area there is nothing to judge them against. Ate there twice, will not be back. Portions were large as is typical at most mexican places. Drinks were only mediocre. read more

If you are from an area that has authentic Mexican food you will not be happy with this place. When I ordered a margarita with grand marnier and received a look from my server like I was speaking a foreign language I knew we were in trouble. My husband and are are from the Chicagoland suburbs and we are very used to truly authentic Mexican food, this reminded us of going to a Pepes tacos back home. We ordered steak tacos and we were not even given a choice of what type of shells. They were served in a hard shells from your local grocery store with some lettuce and shredded cheese on top. Pretty flavorless, not even a hint of Mexican seasoning. My margarita was more like a slurpee from 7-11. I would not recommend this place. I gave it two stars only because the service was good; fast, attentive and polite. read more

You know what the food ain't bad. Big menu, vegetarian options, some seafood etc. I would go back and back and back. I get flash backs to Pat and Rayleen's so the inside feels weird to me but it works. The service was great and friendly. Just a nice place to go to get something reasonably ethnic in the area. Probably the best Mexican food I've had in Wisconsin but just ok compared to the food further south. Happy they have pineapple jarritos.

DO NOT EAT HERE unless you like food poisoning. Also, watch your bill, because they like to charge you full price for the daily specials advertised on the board when you walk in. Then they like to argue with you that their sign is wrong and you have to pay full price. this is not only illegal to do, but not a really great business move in a small town. I'd eat at nasty old taco bell before I'd go back here. On the plus side, their guacamole was pretty good. read more

My husband and I are from the Chicago area and believe that La Cabnana ranks up there with any Chicago Mexican restaurant! The food and service is exceptional. The food is authentic and always fresh. They bring chips and delicious salsa out right away and are good at refilling them throughout your meal. The margaritas are good, and so is all the food I've tried there. The waiters have always been super attentive. I highly recommend this place. read more

La Cabaña is a very good little Mexican restaurant right on 41 in Menominee MI - Did not expect to find good mexican food and Margaritas this far north. The Margaritas are as good as those in my favorite Mexican hang out in CA - very good selection of tasty Mexican entrees - pleasant atmosphere and friendly service. All in all, 5 stars. read more
