Everything was clean and inviting, and they even have outdoor seating in the front for nice weather. I ordered the steak bowl, and the portion was HUGE! It was loaded with steak, sweet plantains, beans, rice, guacamole, fresh pico de gallo, and an egg. Everything tasted fresh and went so well together. The steak was flavorful, the plantains had that delicious caramelized sweetness, and the fresh pico and guacamole pulled the whole bowl together. Definitely come hungry because they do not skimp on the portions! I also loved the atmosphere. It has that easy, fast-casual feel, but they really put effort into the decor. From the colorful lights and booths to the huge Made in Colombia neon display, the whole place has personality. Great food, generous portions, a fun atmosphere, and a nice spot to grab some Colombian food in Hicksville. I'll definitely be back to try more from the menu!

As soon as we walked in, the manager Stephan was right at the door ready to greet us. He already knew who we were and welcomed us like we were regulars. That kind of attentiveness is rare--you usually have to look for a manager, but here he was front and center, making sure everything was perfect from the start. The restaurant was busy (always a good sign!), but we were seated quickly and treated with such kindness and efficiency. The service overall was excellent--friendly, attentive, and just a great vibe all around. And the FOOD... absolutely incredible. I had the skirt steak with rice, beans, and salad--10/10, full of flavor and cooked perfectly. My friend had the fish and loved it just as much. Everything tasted fresh, well-seasoned, and made with care. Between the amazing food and the outstanding service, this place is a gem. Huge thank you to Stephan and the entire team for making us feel so welcomed--we'll definitely be back!

Most of our table ordered…read moresteak while one person went with chicken, and those steaks came out sizzling, which definitely made an entrance. If you're starving, go ahead and grab an appetizer. If you're just normally hungry, skip it because the entrées are more than enough. I had the steak with mushrooms and onions. The steak itself was cooked well, but I would've loved more mushrooms, and personally I think it would pair much better with rice and beans instead of French fries. The chicken options also felt a little limited compared to the long list of steak dishes. The appetizers could use some love too. Three empanadas on a plate and calling it an appetizer felt a little... phoned in. Give us a little flair! Service was a bit confusing because it seemed like everyone was helping every table, so we never really knew who our actual server was. We asked for the check because we had a show to get to, got an "okay," and then watched our server head over to another table first. Cue everyone checking their watches. The drinks were tasty, but I'm still on the fence about whether they were freshly made or not. Overall? It was a decent experience. The portions are generous, the steaks are the star of the menu, and there's definitely potential here. Would I rush back? Maybe not. Would I tell you not to go? Also no. This is one of those places where you'll have to grab a fork and decide for yourself.

I traveled here to find out that the Cook is on a break and will be gone for 30 minutes. They serve some good, bold coffee in many forms; cafe con leche, lattes, cortado, etc. From the moment I saw the brunch menu, I knew I wanted the eggs benedict wich is served with chorizo over a tamale, topped with hollandaise. Served with some crispy spiced potatoes and a lovely salad. The dish was delicious, the eggs were poached well and I loved every bit of it. Gio's Columbian Egg Sandwich was also excellent, also served with the same potatoes and salad. Everyone enjoyed their plates which also included pancakes, Steak & Eggs and Carne Asada. We also ordered some empanadas to bring home and they were so good. They offer both flour and corn versions and they really hit the spot later that day.

When you walk in, there is a bar on your right with cute flowers hanging around the area, and lots of tables on the left side. They were a good size. The food came about an hour after we sat down, around 10:40pm. I'm not sure if they usually take this long, or because a lot of people went there after the concert. We ordered the Picadita, which comes with tostones, chicharrón, steak, morcilla, and chorizo. The Frijolada came with rice and egg, beef, avocado, chorizo, bits of chicharrón. Both were delicious, no complaints. The meat was tender and not chewy at all. If I'm ever in the area, I would come back to the restaurant.

There was a little bit of a language barrier--the staff didn't speak much English and I don't speak Spanish--but honestly, nothing Google Translate and sounding out the menu couldn't fix! We made it work with no problem. The margaritas were delicious . The sangria wasn't really for me, but I'd absolutely order another margarita. And my son LOVED the chocolate drink! Great food, BIG portions, quick service, kind staff, and an authentic Colombian experience. We left full, happy, and with plenty of leftovers!
