This experience was not great at all and the only reason I'm giving them three stars is because the last time I was here I really enjoyed it. Either they were short staffed or it's always like this when they are busy, but it took us almost an hour to get our food. There were quite a few tables that were full, but that is just ridiculous. It took almost 10 minutes for the waiter to come over to even take our drink order. At that point we ordered our food as well and then settled in to wait. We had no idea how long it would be! The entire time we waited no one once came by to see how we were doing or if we needed refills. We did have to ask twice how much longer it would take for the food to come and the server looked annoyed. The food was good once it arrived, and thankfully it was piping hot! I think they must have just really gotten behind. I may give them one more try, but steer clear on a busy day! read more

I saw this place only had three and a half stars but we decided to try it out. I can honestly say I'm surprised this place does not have 5 stars. This place had amazing coffee, food, service, and atmosphere. Their Carmel latte is spectacular. Carmel is homemade. I had an omelet and it was cooked to perfection. We sat outside and the service was amazing. It had the small town feel you want. Food came out fast and accommodated to my food allergies. My husband had the strawberry French toast and said it was delicious. We left with smiles on our faces and feeling like we were a local. We will be back! read more

Great little breakfast spot. Not a place for a really quick breakfast but a place to savor the food and the nice surroundings. Lots of shade in the outside seating and large portions on the food. I am so glad I found this place! We had been checking out the local shops when I saw the rainbow flag outside, and we decided we would have breakfast there the following day. With all of the hate signs around this town, we knew we had to support this brave business that was taking a stand for diversity! We dined here Saturday morning before our hike. The place is so cute inside! They have lots of handmade gifts and children's toys and books for sale. Staff were all super friendly. The owner came around checking on diners as well. I had the sweet cream latte, and it was delicious! Added an extra espresso shot to prepare for the hike. The sausage is Turkey sausage and was so flavorful. The croissants were flakey and perfect. We were sad to learn, though, that they will be closing in January. It is definitely not for failing as a business, though, because it was full of happy diners. My guess is that Pine is not happy with a thriving inclusive business. The owner organized the first Pine Pride event, so based on all the Kari Lake signs and Trump flags, I suppose it may have ruffled a few feathers. If you support equality and good food, make sure to stop in before their doors shut in January. read more

The breakfast itself was actually kind of amazing. There's a strict mask policy in place though, and it seemed like they tried not to make you feel too unwelcome if you were cooperative. Our masked server seemed tense and uncomfortable serving our unmasked party of 3 on the patio, I felt bad for her. To sum it up the uneasy vibes were a little too pronounced to shrug off and might've overshadowed that remarkable meal just a tad bit, which is a pity. This place is awesome. Great portions, some vegan options and super cute. Also had a lot of pastries to choose from! I had the portobello "burger". Big and juicy. The potato wedges had an amazing seasoning on them. Friends got a scramble and one of their daily specials, both big portions and looked delicious. The iced coffee was really good, a bit watered down but still had a great taste. This time of year there were A LOT of mosquitoes but they had some candles that drove them away. This review is solely based on the service and friendliness not food as we never ate. I had high hopes this was going to be an amazing breakfast based on the pictures and reviews but like others have mentioned service is so bad. I understand that Covid has made things harder but it was almost as if they didn't want our business. We were greeted with a look of annoyance. We asked for a table for 4 and was asked if we wanted inside our outside to which we said we didn't care. She then tells us that the cook is also the server so it will be a minute. What?! I don't understand how she herself or the other girl behind the counter can't help serve? She finally comes back and seats us inside and we never see anyone again. After 15 minutes of being alone in the "blue room" we decide to cut our losses and go elsewhere. I'm not sure how a business survives like that. When we first "discovered" this place a few years ago, we thought we had fallen upon something special and unique. Following subsequent visits to RH we have become increasingly disappointed and have not been back for some time now. RH baked goods are quite good, if you arrive in time to buy some. The owner/baker is aloof and distant and not the least bit interested in accomodating visitors' requests. When I first tasted her coconut cream pie, I thought it was the best ever. We even drove up there just to purchase a full pie after that. We have also dined there several times for lunch and breakfast and even stayed a couple of nights in the cottage adjacent to the restaurant which was nice. The wait service during all of our dining experiences has been terrible. Long delays between ordering and getting our meals. The food quality is sketchy - sometimes excellent, other times mediocre - including cold hot dishes. It is not the friendliest of places so if that matters to you, RH is NOT a place you'll want to visit. We thought we would become loyal fans of RH and we tried but our effort was met with lack of interest and poor service. The owner is not a good candidate for operating a restaurant, especially one in a small town close to other small towns where word spreads quickly. read more

The 2 star is for the cuteness of the grounds. Non attentive waitress with no ability to answer or suggest what the place is known for. I have never had a more anemic grilled ham and cheese in my life with no condiments, small portion. Tiny white bread and higher prices. No attention to refilling drinks but too eager toclean up and close the place down. The quiche was old with dry crust and shriveled vegetables and a slice of orange as garnish. This is not the place to go if you are looking for in and out. But if you have time to relax and enjoy the ambiance of one of the historic local buildings, the Randall House has more charm than you can soak in. The service is slow not by plan, but because of their lean staff and taking time to make everything from scratch! It's best in Spring and summer when you can sit outside. The breakfast omelets are divine- I love the french toast too. And for lunch, I aim for the fish tacos unless there is a special that steals my stomach away. The Randall is our favorite restaurant in the Pine area. They are vegetarian friendly, and the food is great. For breakfast, they make the best blueberry pancakes ever. The service has always been good, and the staff very friendly. They did have a strict mask requirement ( a good thing for me), but they have now made masks optional. Driving through Pine, I saw this little house and was instantly drawn to it. A local had mentioned a tavern and the minute we walked in a knew I wanted to try Randall House instead. Wow!
