This restaurant is located in Norwood,MA on Washington st, on a busy area. There is plenty of parking and it's easy to find. Ok so I wanted to try this place for a long time, but haven't had the chance. It's very quaint and cute, and has a very down home vibe. The young lady at the counter is very nice and accommodating. I ordered the pupusa with chicharon and cheese and I also got a flan. The pupusa was the best I had. It was made to order fresh and flavorful, and the flan was amazing. Do yourself a favor, eat here!!!

This spot is such a gem. STREET CORN We got two and they were incredible. Sweet corn coated in creamy sauce spices and cheese. Messy in the best way and full of flavor in every bite. Absolutely delicious. SMOTHERED BURRITO Black beans carne asada veggies lettuce and hot sauce all wrapped up and then smothered in salsa verde and salsa roja. This was phenomenal. So saucy so flavorful and perfectly balanced. The carne asada was tender and the sauces soaked right into the tortilla. Loved this so much. INTERNATIONAL TACO COMBO Flour tacos with cilantro lime rice and we chose cajun shrimp pork belly and fried fish. Every taco had its own flavor profile and they were all amazing. The shrimp was seasoned perfectly with a little kick the pork belly was rich and tender and the fried fish was crispy with great texture. So good. INTERNATIONAL TACO COMBO Our second combo came with mango habanero shrimp cajun shrimp and pork belly. The mango habanero shrimp was sweet spicy and juicy and the shrimp itself tasted super fresh. Another great mix of flavors. Loved this variety. FRIED FISH TACOS We ordered two extra and these did not disappoint. Crispy fried fish inside warm flour tortillas with red cabbage for crunch. Light fresh and so satisfying. YUCCA FRIES These were addictively good. Crispy outside soft inside and perfect for dipping. A great side to all the bold flavors. Everything we ordered was flavorful fresh and clearly made with care. Portions are generous and the menu has so many fun options to mix and match. La Taqueria absolutely impressed me and I will definitely be back. Highly recommend if you want delicious takeout that hits the spot every time.

TACOS MECHADOS Braised short rib, pickled cabbage, avocado, crema fresca, pico de gallo, flour tortilla. Flavorful and generously filled. The short rib was tender and the toppings added a nice balance. BIRRIA TACOS Beef birria on crisp grilled tortillas with grilled corn, onion, shredded cheese, radish, cilantro. The flavors were bold, but they were a little too salty for my liking. The rice and beans that came with it were amazing though. The Mexican rice was honestly the best I have ever had. SHRIMP CEVICHE Made with cucumber, tomato, onion, jalapeño, cilantro, avocado, yucca crisp. Fresh and bright, but definitely could have used more shrimp. It felt a little too heavy on the vegetables. Despite a few things I would tweak, it was a nice night overall. The staff made the experience warm and the portions were generous.

Hostess was polite as was our service. The waitress was very friendly smiling attentive. Atmosphere was lively but not too loud and nice vibes w bar in center of restaurant. Complimentary chips with 3 types of salsas were phenomenal, perfectly spicy and unique. Before the chips were brought out the waitress asked if we wanted guac or queso. We said guac and no idea it was going to cost us $17. If I'd have known that I'd have declined but she should have mentioned that. Was annoyed when I saw the bill. I sometimes wonder if servers do that to get a bigger bill and hence bigger tip. Our food came out quickly. Husband got chicken tacos which he loved and said it was packed w chicken etc and flavorful. I felt like a vegetarian taco and was disappointed. First off I personally don't like the grainy texture of the soft taco and the mushrooms in the taco was an odd flavor. I love mushrooms but this to me was weird not sure what type it was but I didn't care for it. There was a good amount of filing and on both good size slices of avocados. Overall good experience. I would go back and try something else.

First I'll say I'm Latino. I love Colombian food, Puerto Rican food, Dominican food, Venezuelan…read morefood, Cuban food etc etc. This place is so bad. I don't know how it has two 5 stars reviews as of this posting. The place is small and not a great ambiance for a nice dinner. It was hot as hell in there and over run with kids that looked like family the day we ordered. They were behind the register, in the common area & at tables. The price was insane for typical Latin dishes that were greasy, salty, and very unsatisfying. Most went in the trash. The rice was bland with vegetables resembling fried rice from a Chinese restaurant. It was so moist and greasy, the pork/chicharron had a strange aftertaste like it was old. The beans were ok but still needed flavor. Plantains were cut thin and not sweat like the typical ripe plantain. The skirt steak was edible and actually had decent flavor. The pupusa was artery clogging and I regret eating even half of one. A kid took the order & cooked some of the meal. He left out a few items from the order. Luckily I asked because when he said we were all set, I knew something was def missing. Had to wait another 15-20 mins more. I already spent about 30 minutes which turned to 45 mins total) waiting for take out with an empty store. That's insane...I'd steer far away if you want Spanish food that's done on a much higher level and won't break the bank. Don't say you weren't warned if decide to try this place. Highly recommend Casa de Lala who is currently relocating in Walpole. That's the best you will get with fresh, high quality Spanish food.
