We came in wanting to try a new Mexican restaurant. Our small group recently had a heated debate over which restaurant in Trussville had the best Mexican food, so we knew we would need to try this place out at some point, and that time had finally come. The parking lot is a little crowded, esp during their busy times. The staff were very friendly and made sure drinks were topped off and checked on us frequently. We did get queso with our chips, but my wife and kids thought it was a little too spicy. I got "the bowl", #30, and it was good - chicken, steak, shrimp, chorizo, rice and queso - I saw it and knew that I would be ordering it. The kids split a Mexican pizza, and my wife got one of the combos. The building could use a little updating, but overall, it's a great place. I have a new favorite!!!! I finally tried a Tamale! It was covered in cheese and beans and incredible. It was big and round instead of flat and sad. It had shredded pork and wasn't dry. I had it yesterday and am trying to get my husband to put the Doritos down and go get me a couple more today!!! We brought friends visiting from Destin with their 5 and 9 year old and they cleaned their plates! Our guests ordered the fajitas, Street tacos and steak burrito. I learned of this spot from a fellow yelper!!! Omg !!! I ordered the "bowl" which apparently isn't on the menu. This dish is loaded with steak , chicken , chirizo and shrimp served over Mexican rice. Amazing!!! It's comes with warm , crispy chips with a tasty salsa. I can't even explain how satisfying this meal is. Plenty enough for leftovers unless you just can't walk away. So the serving size is legit and worth the $14.00. I placed a phone in to go order and was told me my order would be ready in 5 mins .... Talk about fast service! My food was ready when I arrived. Friendly service and a really welcoming environment. Next time I come here , I will dine in and probably order the same dish with some margaritas!! This restaurant been open for about a year now and the food and service never tends to disappoint. The lime margaritas is good, but the pina colada tastes like it's pre mixed and they just add alcohol to it. Can't go wrong with the chips and salsa which is complementary and they don't charge you for seconds go around. My favorite entree is the steak quesadilla which has sautéed onions and peppers. We have been here three times now. The first time was during Covid restrictions and it was just okay. Didn't see what the hype was about and it was pretty much like any other Mexican restaurant in the area in regards to service and atmosphere. The last two times there hasn't been a whole lot of different but they really do have good food and fast, friendly service. There is no reason not to go and like it. They offer a few different items on their menu than the other restaurants in the Trussville area as well. Mexican food is so reliant on preference of style. One of our favorites for after church lunch. I was blown away the first time we ate there. The food gets to you quickly, but you don't feel rushed. They keep your drink full and salsa topped off. Service was awful. I order chicken nachos no vegetables. He said okay. Food is done he brings it, it had vegetables. We said something about it to him and he said you cant order that way. When I told him I order my nachos just like that every time. Then we asked him to take it off the ticket and he keep arguing with us about it and finally took it off. read more

Tex-mex made to order, and the cook is willing to do special orders. The chile rellenos are filled with meat, and their burrito selection is good. The carnitas are tender and delicious and make a great chimichanga if you ask for it. The fajitas are generous, the tacos good, and $1 margaritas on Wednesday. Its a little local tex-mex place, next to Holy Infant of Prague Church, but worth a drop-in. Consistently good. read more

Ok I'll start with apologies for no photos of our dinners, but I still had to post. It looked so good I started eating before I took any photos. This was the BEST Mexican food I have ever had anywhere. The salsa was excellent, the chips were warm and thin perfection! The dinners with steak were all very tender. Everyone enjoyed their meals and again I highly recommend ordering the steak tacos, steak enchiladas and steak quesadillas. Enjoy this place as the food was great and the service was excellent! Had worse and much better. Their margaritas special had almost zero alcohol and came in a cheap plastic cup. Nothing like the advertised pics. Cheese dip is avg at best and only comes in a small size and is overpriced. Munoz bows them out if the water. Only go here if you don't have time to get in Munoz. read more

They sloppyly pack food togo so that when you get your togo order to your car it looks like it came out of a trash can. I always check to make sure my order is correct before I drive away from a restaurant and when I opened the togo bag I found beans and cheese all over the bag like an explosion. All the contents in the bag were mushed and spread everywhere. Obviously they are NOT using the right ype of containers to hold beans and cheese. Complete waste of money. Felt like I paid 60$ to eat left over food dug out of a trash can that someone threw away. Customer service is seriously lacking at this place.
