Food adequate, service minimal and ambiance non existent. Overpriced and unimpressive. Taco trucks are better.

Even though it didn't seem busy. When the fries were brought out the waitress didn't bring napkins or utensils. The utensils I could care less for but eating finger food without having a napkin isn't what I like to do. She left before I realized we didn't have utensils. It was about 5 minutes before another waiter at another table came close enough for me to ask for utensils. The ambiance is always great here. It can be packed and you can still have a conversation with someone. The decor is cigar room classy. Still one of my favorite spots.

Our most recent trip was a few weeks ago. They were great to let us get orders in with minutes left before 5. My sister pre-ordered a cocktail that would be served after 5 and they honored the HH price discount but our refill drinks were full price, so plan ahead! Our total with drinks (6), mussels and fries, flatbread, asparagus salad, tuna tartare was $180 for the 3 of us. Felt pricey, but I guess it's not surprising considering where we were. Drinks were delicious! Service was great overall, no hovering but attentive enough to not feel forgotten.

From the little table we sat at, we turned the chairs so we could face the kitchen area where the chefs were making fresh pizzas instead of staring at the bar tender with her chest hanging out (put them away, you're at work) or stare at the doorway. We weren't overly hungry but wanted to try it. The prices were pretty steep for a beer $12, and the cocktail was VERY expensive $19 after tax. Hubs decided not to order the beer but insisted I try a fancy drink so I decided on the unicorn after recommendation from our waitress. The drink was pleasantly good, not too sour or too sweet, however definitely not worth the price. Then we decided on a small bites, skillet prawns. The wait wasn't too long. We took a bite each and we were so confused at the odd flavor. It tasted like latex gloves and cleaner. Hubs tried a a second small bite of another one and spit it out. We probably shouldn't have stopped. Our waitress was really nice about it and offered to get us a new one or something else or a dessert, but we declined. She ended up taking it off the bill. Maybe skip the drinks and order a pizza.

There's almost zero damping and no acoustic management whatsoever. It has the appearance of an attractive venue without the functional reality. It was incredibly painful with the voices of all the talking along with the music ringing in our ears. The conversations of people were amplified by the design of the facility to the point where they were competing with the fully amplified '90s band that I heard called joose. In addition, they appear to have no comprehension about how to actually create an appropriate acoustic management system. There are no damping systems, no soft surfaces, it's like they didn't even ask anybody who knows anything about anything about how to do acoustic design. It's entirely appearance based. We will never return here again for anything other than a cocktail or maybe a karaoke event. It was a waste of $20. Per person. We effectively paid $40 for a couple to be acoustically tortured for 2 hours. We kept hoping it would get better but it didn't I thought maybe once more people came in they might help but it didn't help they just got louder. I can't believe that nobody else has complained about this before.

However, these performers just lip sang and walked around collecting tips. Hardly any interaction with the crowd. The '3 course meal' was awful. First course was a small cinnamon bun and mini chocolate crossiant, second course was a tiny portion of french toast casserole and egg frita, and then dessert. It was all sugar- no protein, or fruit. Definitely felt like a rip off.

I was sitting at the bar on Thursday when a customer, Rainey, called the bartender a b*#ch, cursing her out. The bartender explained nicely the girl's token couldn't be used for a $40 Clase Azul Margarita, giving her several other tequila options I might add, and the young girl flipped out in her & called her names. The bartender definitely kept her cool, never even raising her voice. The way people treat bartenders sometimes is just so terrible! Don't go out if you can't act appropriately. Anyway this place is great and I keep going back. Thanks for the yummy drinks Mockingbird!

I ordered one drink, and it was pretty good. The only downside was the service. The bartender wasn't very personable, and I didn't really feel welcomed. To be fair, it was the start of the shift, so maybe they were just getting settled in or simply having an off day. We all have those days, so I'm trying not to judge the experience too harshly. I usually like to give places a second chance because one visit doesn't always tell the whole story. The drink showed promise, and I'm hopeful my next visit will leave a better overall impression. Looking forward to seeing how the experience compares the second time around.

The warm baguette dipped in the sauce of the scallop and escargot were beyond words. For entrees, we ordered poulet frites, beef cheek bourguignon, dover sole grenobloise, and prime burger royale. The dark meat of the poulet was delicious, the white meat was dry. Maybe next time we can ask for all dark meat. The beef cheek was very tender. My younger son thought it was the best burger he's ever eaten. It was very good. The only thing is the sole was not what we were expecting, it was very meaty/solid. Normally, sole breaks apart easily and very flaky. We would not order this again. For sides, we had frites, button mushrooms provencal & brussels sprouts gratin. We only liked the frites. If we are in Santa Rosa, we would definitely come back. The reason I didn't give a 5 star review is the handle on the brussels sprouts pan was very hot and the waiter didn't tell me it was hot. I touched the handle and burned my fingers severely to the point it blistered up. When I realized my fingers were burned, I asked the waiter for ice and he looked at me confused of why I was asking for ice.
