Absolutely love Lila's and am so happy I found them! As others have stated before, if you were someone who was a fan of Jalisco's in Santa Rosa then you will absolutely love and be thrilled with Lila's. It's honestly crazy how similar the food is and initially I was wondering if they were somehow related?! But it is a fantastic spot and my go-to for Mexican now that I have found them! Everything I have had has been excellent. Their shredded beef crunchy tacos are the best I've had in the area, I love their grilled chicken tacos or burritos, the enchiladas are great, the chile rellenos, their carnitas, you name it!!! I love Chili Rellenos. But not from Lila's. However I did see some meals other people had and they looked pretty good. Mine was bland and over cooked even a little burned. This is clearly a well liked neighborhood restaurant which was evident by the clientele People really liked being there. Guess I will have to give it another try and order something else. read more

I decided to give Lila's a try after the word on the street was that they were very similar to Jaliscos, which closed several years ago on Mendocino Avenue. While away in the service, the only food I wanted coming home was a Jaliscos super burrito. To my chagrin they had closed while I was away! I've tried many different places searching for a substitute, but had yet to find one. I stopped in while working and ordered the Super Burrito with carnitas to go. It was fairly priced ($12.99) compared to other places, and the woman behind the counter was polite and friendly. It was ready within 5-7 minutes, even with 3 others having just ordered before me! The burrito was AMAZING. Jaliscos seems to have been reborn! In all seriousness, the flour tortilla, carnitas, guacamole-- everything was perfect. I will be back many many times! They were outside of Parliament Brewery and I was so glad they were! I got the meatloaf sandwich which was a thick loaf between soft and crusty buns. The nachos were a pulled meat variety with the wonderful red spicy chili peppers. Very generous and wonderfully put together. **Their berry pie crumble was awesome!! Loved the food here, bean and cheese burrito was perfection and carnitas tacos came through as a solid lunch add on. Carnitas had tons of flavor and the salsa or whatever they throw on it was the perfect amount of spice, not too spicy but just enough and really melded with the succulent meat. The bean and cheese was throughly mixed and had nice structural integrity. Carne asada taco wasn't my favorite as the meat was a little large for my liking, but the other stuff I had here was so good still giving it 5 stars. read more

Went to eat with 2 coworkers, wasn't sure what to order. I eat Mexican food everyday at home. I asked the cashier for her opinion. She said all was good. I really didn't know what to get so I said I was fine. I sat down and as they ate I decided to go to Oliver's to grab a sandwich instead. I came back and ate with my fiends. The owner was so upset. This is a hole in the wall place with a Wholefoods near by. The prices are extremely reasonable and the food is anywhere from ok to great. The tostada you can avoid, but the street tacos are great. My favorite is the Chile relleno super burrito, omg it's so good, when you get to the Chile relleno and take a bite and the cheese starts to ooze out, so good. My kids also love the vegetarian burrito, and my friends swear by the nachos. I do see a lot of construction workers order the burger and fries and it looks good but I haven't tried it. Is everything great no, but nothing is bad. The burrito's are worth going here, plus the red salsa has a great kick to it. read more

This might be the best Mexican restaurant in Santa Rosa. We found this gem after moving to this side of town and we can't get enough. Everything we've had has been superb. So far we've tried the tacos, burritos, tostadas, chille relleno, and taco salad. What pushed me over the edge was their carnitas. The meat is moist and crunchy and not at all fatty. The best I've had in the 10 years I've lived here. It appears to be family owned and the customer service is always warm and welcoming. The restaurant is also one of the cleanest we have seen in the area. I would give 10 stars if I could! read more

Had never been there, stopped by for a Fish Taco to go. Fish was pan fried well, so the outside was browned and yummy. Usually I prefer fish to be tender, not cooked so long, but this method gave it flavor, and made it feel substantial to bite into. I enjoyed it. Good portion, not skimpy. Double tortilla so it didn't fall apar by the time I ate it. The Taco was a bit dry, which would have been disappointing if I ate it as is. But I ate it at home, where I added sour creme, lemon juice, cilantro, and salt. I wonder if they made it that way because I got it to go (so it wouldn't get soggy) I don't know? It had very little sauce, and not much salsa. I'm not a fan of tomato salsa on fish taco anyway, so I'm not suggesting they put more salsa. I'd simply do more white sauce, a pinch of cilantro, and squirt of lime. Overall glad I tried it and might be back if I'm nearby again. It was a pleasant place to wait while they made the taco, lots of windows, would consider eating there if I had the time. read more

It's *really* close to our house so we get take-out when we need food fast, but it's a little underwhelming. The food is average, none of the employees ever smile, (sometimes they seem downright hostile), and they charge for more than one bag of chips, even when you're ordering more than one meal. Love, love, love this place! Lila's is some of the best Mexican Food in Santa Rosa. They're a small family run and owned business and will get to know and remember you over time. I consistently get their Feesh Vegetable Burrito, which is one of the best vegan options I've found in this area. It's delicious, filling, and very satisfying. They've also made me a Fresh Vegetable Chimichanga, which isn't technically on the menu, but is also incredible. I stopped in at Lila's because the location was convenient. I was not impressed by anything about it. The woman working the counter was not friendly at all, so my first impression was hopefully the food made up for it. It didn't. My son and I shared the chicken quesadilla and it was unbelievably wet. I'm guessing due to the green chili's and salsa or something in it. It was a soggy mess, luckily I had grabbed a couple forks. I liked the chicken, but the other things in there completely overwhelmed the flavor of it. It was huge, so if you just want large quantities of mediocre food, this is the place for you! read more
