This place came well recommended on Yelp, so my wife and I decided to try it. We were greeted promptly and the service was very good. That's where the great experience ended. The place looks very dated and under construction. There are storage boxes everywhere, and even an old payphone on the wall next to the restroom. I don't know if it was still in working order. There was an old Non Smoking section sign in the front area... just how old IS this place? My wife got a shrimp with lobster sauce, I got Mu Shu Chicken, and we shared brown rice. The rice was good, but the other dishes tasted off. It was a disappointment for sure. We need a better choice in Chinese Restaurants in East County. Have been eating here for years! Live in the area so it's easy to call and pick up if you want! Eating in is pleasant also- great service and June always greets with a smile! As others have said- straight up American Chinese food- fair priced and great taste- fresh vegetables and never overcooked. My coworker and I decided to give this place a try and I loved it so much I went back with my partner. It seems to be a small, family-owned business. The decor is dated but I feel like that added to its charm. The menu prices are very affordable, the staff is super prompt and kind, and there's plenty of parking. So far I've tried the egg drop and hot and sour soup, the general tsaos chicken, sweet and sour chicken, and the noodles. The egg drop soup was yummy but the hot and sour was my favorite- they don't skimp on the mushrooms or tofu and it came out piping hot. Both chicken entrees I ordered were perfectly crisped on the outside, tender inside, and packed with flavor. Lastly, the noodles are my favorite, they have that distinct wok flavor thats hard to come by at other places. I very much appreciated this place and think it deserves more attention. read more

Ordered food to go and it was awful. It had too much brown sauce and salty. Vegetables were over cooked. Sauce leaked all over the bag and the worst part, served in styrofoam which is banned. Food looked unappetizing. Walked into the restaurant where a table was lined up with food to go orders. Along the wall were boxes, metal shelf piece, containers, etc. If you turned to the right there were tables to eat in house. The restaurant ambiance wasn't appealing. I enjoyed a nice take out dinner from this place in the form of a special they had printed on a piece of paper on the window. It was similar to a Low Mein with BBQ Pork. I guess I could that was what it was. For $8.95, the portion size was quite generous and could of feed two people easily. It all glistened nicely with the light sauce they applied to the dish. I washed the gent prepared the noodles of a hot wok with fire blazing over the sides which produced a nice smoky flavor for the noodles. The noodles were of the soft variety and offered a nice texture ad flavor. The BBQ pork was tender for the most part with small amounts of fatty and connective tissues. The outside of the pork had that deep reddish color and had a slight crust. For the most part the pork was tender and tasted good. I liked that they put a lot of cabbage and that it was not over cooked, but I do wish that they would of put some chopped scallions into the mix. They are literally THE best! Great food, great price, great amount of food, great staff! All and all I give them 110% the ONLY not perfect thing about this spot is the wait time when you order inside for to go.. but guess what? That's because it's made fresh to order!!! I came by during the dinner rush, so ultimately there was a little wait given that I walked in to place my order, but I didnt mind because I was able to see the interaction with customers and employees. The staff knew customers by name and orders, it was warming to witness. With so many regulars, i was very eager to try the food. I ordered the dinner combo, beef and broccoli. I was very pleasantly surprised. The cream cheese wonton qas perfectly cooked and flavored. My egg roll was fresh and the sweet and sour sauce tangy. Now on to the beef and broccoli, it was so juicy and tender, it literally melted in my mouth... the broccoli was flash cooked....although I like mine sauteed after being flash cooked, I didnt mind because the flavor was extremely good! Great food, phenomenal Authentic Chinese cuisine! We are constantly looking for a good place for Chinese food in East county and food wise we found a good one. The ambiance on the other hand left something to be desired. While the food was amazing and the price was affordable the dining room was rather cluttered. Likely due to modifications they had to make during the pandemic. So it is understandable, but if it were me I would de clutter the dining room replace the shower curtain dividers between the booths with either plastic or for a cheaper option a sheet of drywall or perhaps a rice paper screen divider. The lighting should be brought down a bit and some culturally appropriate music would add to the effect and make this place a great place for a date. But as far as the food goes they should be very proud. Wonderful cuisine. read more

In this case, nothing stood out other than she was always in a rush. (I'm bad cause I really don't expect Chinese restaurants to be very nice) Anyhoot that's me. I ordered the crispy beef (sauce on side) with fried rice and a side order of BBQ Pork. The crispy beef was fully battered (thick) and the sauce was just alright. I thought it was going to be a little spicy but nope, this was not the case. The BBQ pork was extremely dry. To the point where I took it to go so I can put it in my instant ramen noodles. The food is good ... kind of bland But the biggest issue is they need to change their to-go containers. They suck. By the time I get home all of the liquid from the containers has leaked out and it's very annoying and messy. Also they need to improve the entrance of their restaurant.
