    Virgin Pina Colada - 01/13/2026
    Natasha F.

I would definitely come back here - I ordered the red Snapper and it was delicious it came with rice and plantains. My husband ordered steak and onions which came out in a sizzle platter. They also gave us chimichurri sauce a a spicy salsa for our food. The salad that comes with the meals is very fresh mine had red onion and Spanish olives. My virgin Pina Colada was absolutely delicious. The glass rim had toasted coconut around it so good!!! [[HIGHLIGHT]]The place is lively and Latin music is playing.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]As another reviewer said it is always well decorated according to the season and holiday. Today it was Valentines themed which is perfect for our date night.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Had very nice service here as well. They were attentive to our needs and got us served and out without waiting. Check this place out at least just i

Local neighborhood gem for Colombian food. I've been getting take here and never had an issue. The best is the bandeja paisa. I wanted sewers and saw they had a mixed platter for $20. Was extremely disappointed to see it was only one sewer with the different meats on the sewer. I was at least anticipating two sewers as street vendors charge $5 per sewer. The menu was not descriptive so I took the risk but would not order that again. Not worth it.

Food was great and so was the ambience. Service was very underwhelming and disappointing though.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]This place is decorated for each and every holiday big or small! The effort that goes into this is refreshing, they really take pride in the appearance and celebration.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Everyone that works there is welcoming and attentive! [[HIGHLIGHT]]I usually sit at the bar and enjoy the music and atmosphere.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] All of the food is good but my favorite are the soups offered throughout the week! The bar has a nice selection of imported beers and liquor. They do all of the frozen drinks and beers upside down etc! Stop by if you are in the neighborhood !

Honestly, my family and I was on our way to a buffet driving on Jericho Turnpike when we noticed the outside of the restaurant and caught our attention! (Sorry buffet)! We had to detour to get to the restaurant and it was worth it! [[HIGHLIGHT]]The ambiance was beautiful! The decor, the vibe, the people were top notch![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Everyone was so welcoming and the food/drink menu was not fair! Why? Because there were a lot of good choices and did not know what to start with. Eventually, we decided on what we wanted to eat and drink, and we were satisfied throughout the night. [[HIGHLIGHT]]We saw a flyer that karaoke was about to start and everybody was having a great time.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Thank you for a wondeful experience! We will be back!

I'd like to give this place more stars but I just can't... I'll start with the negative and end on the positives. The food wasn't that good - we ordered the shrimp ceviche which came with Keebler crackers (you read that correctly) and what appeared to be some version of a duck sauce (my friend said it tastes like ketchup). I understand some dishes were Latin with Chinese influences, but this one completely missed the mark. My rice with chicken and beef looked terrific but was overly salty, and my friend's white sangri was pink and didn't taste good at all - she couldn't finish it. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The music was also so loud that we couldn't hear ourselves speak.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Now for the positives - [[HIGHLIGHT]]this place is adorable... it's got a vibrant and fun Latin vibe.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The staff was attentive and friendly. I wish the food was better but I doubt we'll be going back any time soon.

Visited during the month of Dec. The service is extremely pleasant and fun. They were giving out Aguardiente shots! How can you go wrong with that! Tried the picada during a happy hour. The pork was a little dry. Big enough order to pick in a group of 4. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Sat in the bar area and the bartender hosted a nice environment.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Attentive and quick with the food order.

Service: was a bit slow but not too slow. I think they were just low staff during the time I went. Waitress very friendly and kind m [[HIGHLIGHT]]Ambiance: it's cute and fun. The team figured out what their branding would look like and they executed it in both their locations.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Food: I thought the food was pretty good. The portions are huge big and I think the price is fair. Grilled BBQ ribs were so good. Just wish they were more tender. I asked for my steak to be medium but it was closer to well and a little heavy on the triple sec or simple syrup in my margarita - Main reasons I'm giving this 4 stars rather than 5.

We went here as a large group of 8 people and the service was wonderful! From being seated right away to the food being 10/10. We ordered calamari and stuffed tostones as an appetizer and they were both delicious! Drinks are also a hit. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Super lively here on a Friday night.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]If the weather is warm enough you may be able to sit outdoors.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I will definitely be coming back!

We were in town for Thanksgiving and drove by this place this afternoon. It looked very colorful and inviting so we decided to give it a try. In addition to the colorful building outside, it is currently all decorated for Christmas. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The ambiance is outstanding.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] There is an extensive menu of all kinds of latin dishes. I opted for the mixed portion of fajitas, containing both steak and chicken. They came with 4 tortillas, rice and beans. The portion was very large. My husband had the Carne asada. His dish came with rice and beans, as well as tostanes. It was also a large portion. Service was good from the only waitress working.

This is my second time to La Choza. Did not disappoint. Steak and onions and grilled pork ribs were delicious and tasty. Their Columbian coffee was delicious black. The tres leches was also to die for. Not too sweet. Would recommend to all !!

Came here on a Monday afternoon for dinner with my BF and 1 yr old. Upon entering, we were greeted and seated by our waitress. She accommodated us very well since we had the stroller which was very nice. The restaurant has very nice decorations however the music could have been lowered just a smidge. We started off with 2 sangrias, the passion fruit and mango flavor. They were amazing! We then ordered ceviche de chicharrón, recommended by the amazing waitress Carolina. For entrées, I had the Bandeja Paisa and my bf had Filete de Pescado en salsa de Camarón. They were delicious. For dessert we had the passion fruit cheesecake which was delicious as well. Highly recommend this place and especially the sangrias!

I have tried the location on northern boulevard and never really been a huge fan. This seems to be a new location so I came here with some friends to give it a try. Their decoration inside was super fun, full of lights and Christmas decorations. They played good music and had kind of a night club vibe. We ordered their guacamole with tostones as an appetizer and it was very tasty and the portion size was pretty good. The disappointing dish was the entree. I ordered their fish with shrimp sauce. It came with beans and rice and tostones. The fish itself wasn't too bad but wasn't great. Their rice was an absolute nightmare which is unacceptable since this is a Colombian restaurant and many of their dishes contain rice. The rice was hard and tasteless. Our server was very nice and replaced our rice with more rice but honestly the second portion of rice was not good either. She said that it was crunchy because it had been sitting on the hot plate in the kitchen but that excuse didn't make sense. I would maybe come back to try their drinks and some appetizers but not for dinner.

People who work here are friendly and pleasant. Restaurant is more or less clean. There's a TV,…read morebut it's unobtrusive. The menu is extensive and fun. Fusion Spanish food. Has a lot of seafood as well as Dominican, Colombian, Mexican. Sadly, what we ordered pretty much sucked. Pernil: C+ Oh, God, it was dry. Dry, dry, dry. You get a very large portion of extremely dry meat with a "cap" of nicely crisped fat. The kind of crispy fat you'd expect from pernil. However, there is very little flavor (compared to my wife's pernil, which may be an unfair comparison, since her pernil rocks my world -- I would've married her for her pernil alone). Very little flavor, and dry, dry, dry. No pernil marinade (that I could taste). There was lime served on the side, but the pernil should be *cooked* with lime. Not enough fat. It was either vastly overcooked or reheated aggressively with dry heat. Tip to the chef: reheating things in a pan and sprinkling water on the meat yields much nicer meat than popping it in the microwave. Using a microwave to reheat meat never works. It overcooks the meat. I consider it inedible. Pollo Mexicano: C+ Similar problem as the pernil. It has a beautifully flavorful salsa, but the chicken was so dry that you have to choke down the chicken When you take a bite, it's difficult to get the chicken to go down your throat because it's bone dry. They vastly overcook the chicken and make the salsa separately. They then toss the bone dry chicken into the yummy salsa and you get cardboard chicken in a delicious salsa. I consider it inedible.

Don't come here. It's a scam for the get. I game here for drinks. They have a juke box. I paid 5…read moredollars to get 3 songs played with priority. It was weird that none of my songs were getting played. But the. I heard my song played in the kitchen area only. Scam. Don't come here.
