We pass by here a lot so Sunday 04/27/26 we stopped in ! It's a nice vibe we were greeted by a friendly server who showed us to a table ! He brought us a tablet with the menu nice lots of choices just scroll and tap! There was a piña colada brought to me with a little Hennessy bottle on top but the server Katherine quickly realized I probably didn't order that lol So we started with 2 piña colada's 1 virgin with whipped cream and one regular with rum! Both delicious! Then nachos de carne which had chunks of beef in it with the delicious combination of cheese beans and everything else ! For our main dish we both had skirt steak with rice and red beans we ordered a side of maduro ( sweet plantain) the steak was very tender and everything was seasoned well loved it! I would definitely come back here - I ordered the red Snapper and it was delicious it came with rice and plantains. My husband ordered steak and onions which came out in a sizzle platter. They also gave us chimichurri sauce a a spicy salsa for our food. The salad that comes with the meals is very fresh mine had red onion and Spanish olives. My virgin Pina Colada was absolutely delicious. The glass rim had toasted coconut around it so good!!! The place is lively and Latin music is playing. Local neighborhood gem for Colombian food. I've been getting take here and never had an issue. The best is the bandeja paisa. I wanted sewers and saw they had a mixed platter for $20. Was extremely disappointed to see it was only one sewer with the different meats on the sewer. I was at least anticipating two sewers as street vendors charge $5 per sewer. Honestly, my family and I was on our way to a buffet driving on Jericho Turnpike when we noticed the outside of the restaurant and caught our attention! (Sorry buffet)! We had to detour to get to the restaurant and it was worth it! The ambiance was beautiful! The decor, the vibe, the people were top notch! Everyone was so welcoming and the food/drink menu was not fair! Why? Because there were a lot of good choices and did not know what to start with. I'd like to give this place more stars but I just can't... I'll start with the negative and end on the positives. The food wasn't that good - we ordered the shrimp ceviche which came with Keebler crackers (you read that correctly) and what appeared to be some version of a duck sauce (my friend said it tastes like ketchup). I understand some dishes were Latin with Chinese influences, but this one completely missed the mark. My rice with chicken and beef looked terrific but was overly salty, and my friend's white sangri was pink and didn't taste good at all - she couldn't finish it. The music was also so loud that we couldn't hear ourselves speak. Now for the positives - this place is adorable... it's got a vibrant and fun Latin vibe. The staff was attentive and friendly. This is such a cute and fun spot here in Bellerose. I went here with a girlfriend for lunch. The passionfruit margaritas were strong and after two, I was feeling pretty tipsy. I had the churrasco with tostones. The steak was very well flavored and it came with two different sides of salsa and rice with beans. I personally did not try the beans because they had pork which I don't eat, but everything else on my plate was delicious. I have tried the location on northern boulevard and never really been a huge fan. This seems to be a new location so I came here with some friends to give it a try. Their decoration inside was super fun, full of lights and Christmas decorations. They played good music and had kind of a night club vibe. We ordered their guacamole with tostones as an appetizer and it was very tasty and the portion size was pretty good. The disappointing dish was the entree. I ordered their fish with shrimp sauce. It came with beans and rice and tostones. The fish itself wasn't too bad but wasn't great. Their rice was an absolute nightmare which is unacceptable since this is a Colombian restaurant and many of their dishes contain rice. The rice was hard and tasteless. Our server was very nice and replaced our rice with more rice but honestly the second portion of rice was not good either. She said that it was crunchy because it had been sitting on the hot plate in the kitchen but that excuse didn't make sense. They charge 0.50 cents for to go containers by the way. I was so excited to eat it that I opened it in my car and it was cold. It was not a perro caliente, it was a perro frío. I had such high hopes for this place! I was excited to finally have a Spanish restaurant in the neighborhood! But they're a major let down. THE GOOD: it's a great unique space. I can see why a lot of ppl like the novelty of it. It's nice for a group. They have large tvs everywhere and different sports playing. During prime hours they have someone singing/karaoking and interacting/greeting the crowd. Drinks are good! THE BAD: Service - everyone is pleasant! But they're a little slow with the service. The last and final time I was there it took 30 minutes for the waitress to get me the check. They're too quick too wanting to clean off your table. I hate having to tell someone "I'm not done with that!!!!!" THE FOOD! Ugh their menu is so large, I think it's their biggest flaw. Is it Mexican? Is it Colombian? Is it Peruvian? It's every type of Spanish dish you can imagine. This vast range of options seems like a good thing but is not executed well at all. It lacks so much to be desired! Here's some various examples of items I've tried. Their Peruvian ceviche is an abomination to all Peruvians. Microscopic shrimp, minced tomatos and red onion in a mix tomato sauce. I took one bite and couldn't eat the rest. A classic Peruvian ceviche is composed of chunks of shrimp, marinated in freshly squeezed key lime, with sliced onions, tomatoes, salt and pepper. What I got was horrid and served with saltine crackers (skimping as most places serve with tostones) - 0/10 Arepas- I receive a hot white arepa with two cold chunky pieces of queso blanco on top. WTH? Most places that serve arepas the cheese is melted into or on top the arepa. 1/10 Empanadas are okay but their salsa verde is not worthy and lackluster. Empanadas 5/10 Salsa verde 2/10 Bandeja Paisa- this is a Colombian staple I've had a million times over. First of all I could do without the topiary style plating they do for this meal. But I guess they're trying to make up for how bad it is. My rice wasn't fully cooked. Come on?! Really?! How can u mess up white rice! The quality and cuts of meat weren't grade A. My egg was over fried. The beans and chicharron were decent. I would give the overall dish a C. 6/10 Entrana- skirted steak was nothing to run home and tell ur mom about. Again, the quality and cut of meat wasn't great. It was mediocre, at best and probably the only dish I would order, if you could convince me to go back.7/10 I've given this place a few chances, but it's a hard NO for me. Wanna grab a drink here? Yes. Id recommend for libations on a Friday night. Sure! Seeking great authentic Spanish/Columbian food...Go elsewhere.
