It's a basic mom and pops Bolivian restaurant, nothing fancy. I believe the food quality has gone down quite a bit and the prices have gone up! The menus have no prices and the cost for a basic dinner is about $ 25.00 per person. That is for an entry and a soft drink! The food portions are smaller and not as tasty or well seasoned as it should be. That's my humble opinion!

This restaurant never disappoints! I always order takeout, and my order is usually ready in 15mins max. I've tried most of their dishes and they're very authentic. A must try restaurant!

Trankapecho; a little excess bread all around but nonetheless a good tasting trankapecho

Place is decent size but might have to wait for a table if you go in on a Sunday afternoon. Mostly clean and good vibes. Service is a little dry but gets it done. Food arrived in timely manner as well. Food is good and portions are excellent.

La Cochabambina Restaurant is a Bolivian restaurant that is located in a little plaza in Annandale. They also have a food truck that runs around the Falls Church (6528 Arlington Blvd) area that is pretty popular on the weekends. The menu (that is 100% in Spanish) offers daily specials (pique macho, silpancho, pacumutu, filete de pescado, and milanesa de carne), sopas, and specialty entrees (chicarrones, charque, escabeche, enrollado, etc.). I tried their Pique platter, which came with huge fried potato wedges, sliced hot dogs (salchichas), and cubed steak. There really isn't a sauce mixed within this dish - it is literally 3 different items, 'mixed,' and placed on the platter. There's also a side of fresh salad that comes with sliced red onions and green peppers; a little tub of fresh Bolivian coriander (quillquiña) sauce that you can dip your meats into - I think I just expected there to be more seasoning or some usage of spices; however, I'm thinking it's just very simple, homecooked fare. I also tried a cup of cold mocochinchi, a Bolivian drink, which is made out of dried and peeled peaches; they're left in the water overnight, then boiled with cinnamon and sugar - it literally tasted like Korean soojunggwa (persimmon/cinnamon/ginger drink). I would like to definitely check out their other entrees, especially the chicharrones. Plenty of seating within; when you walk in, you can grab a table or order up at the front for a carry-out. Just keep in mind that you do need to be somewhat fluent in Spanish! Ms. Ana is the one who works at the front and who is also the cashier; Chef Fauna took care of us in terms of taking our order - she was so unbelievably sweet! :D A definite favorite of the locals, the place offers some authentic Bolivian cuisine of hearty portions! +menu entirely in Spanish +some fluency in Spanish necessary :D +ask for Chef Fauny :D +Ms. Ana is up at the front :D +authentic Bolivian fare :D +brick-and-mortar establishment in the plaza off of Little River Turnpike +plenty of seatings within +food truck in Falls Church area

I really like the Salteñas at this place. They are so good that you have to call and pre order as Salteñas sell really fast.

+ Five-Star Plus Review: Casa de Campo…read more Casa de Campo delivers a meal that goes far beyond expectations and earns a true five-star plus rating from the very first bite. Let's start with the rice, because it deserves center stage. Absolutely out of this world. Each grain is perfectly cooked, rich in flavor, and clearly prepared with care and tradition. It is not just a side dish. It is comforting, bold, and memorable on its own. The kind of rice you keep going back to even when you think you are full. The rotisserie chicken is equally impressive. Cooked to perfection, it is juicy, tender, and packed with flavor all the way through. The seasoning is balanced and authentic, enhancing the natural taste of the chicken without overpowering it. Every bite is moist, savory, and satisfying, with a beautifully cooked exterior that shows real attention to detail. What truly stands out is the consistency and quality. Nothing feels rushed. The food is clearly made with pride, skill, and respect for the ingredients. This is comfort food elevated by technique and heart. Casa de Campo is not just a place to eat. It is a place to enjoy a full, satisfying meal that leaves you happy, full, and already planning your next visit. If you are looking for incredible flavor, perfectly cooked food, and a dining experience that delivers every single time, Casa de Campo is the place to go. Five stars are not enough. This place earns a five-star plus rating without question.

The Mexican food is exactly what I was looking for after moving from the West Coast. I had lost all hope of finding flavor, authenticity and wholesome Mexican food. Conveniently, there's a small market attached with all the fix ins from Guatemala, El Salvador and Mexico. I got my tortillas, queso fresco and snacks I'd been looking for since moving here. It's ground‑level from the parking lot, so no climbing Mount Everest just to get a taco. The parking lot is small, but they do have handicap spots, so points for accessibility. There are large menu screens everywhere, and if you've aged like a fine bottle of wine (or just drink a lot of it), you'll appreciate how big and easy to read they are. They also have a couple of handheld menus at the counter. Seating is minimal with metal tables and chairs, so if you're a diva, bring your donut cushion. I ordered the Carnitas and pork belly, both sold as sides. The pork belly sits under a warmer at the counter, daring you to stay committed to that Weight Watchers plan. It's sold by the pound, and my piece came to $4.80. I almost put it back, but I'm pretty sure there's an unwritten rule about not returning food you've already mentally claimed. Even the cashier said, "Oof, that's pricey," but listen I liked it, and I'd pay it again. The half‑pound Carnitas for $7.99 were delicious and worth every penny. My foodie partner ordered the fried chicken plate. Medium comes with fries; large comes with rice and salad. I tasted her large plate the seasoning was on point, the chicken leaned toward being a little dry, but not enough to stop me from wanting to shake those tail feathers. You order at the counter, they call your name, and voilà food in hand. Service was quick and easy and served with a smile. Overall, I'd definitely come back.

Somehow, the Uber Eats estimated ready time is now 5:41 pm! The restaurant isn't even that busy. This is really more of a complaint against Uber Eats, but Chicken Loco is also in the wrong. Everything is cooked in advance so you select the entree you want. There is a full menu above the hot food which explains what they serve. I noticed beef stew, chicken stew, fish, beef short ribs, and of course the rotisserie chicken, and sides like fried plantain, white rice, red beans, fried rice, steamed veggies, and fresh salsas and sauces. There was a lot more on the menu. I ordered the Costillas or the Beef Short Ribs that came with 2 sides so I got the fried plantain, rice and red bean mix, fresh salsa and a cabbage salsa, and it came with 2 corn tortillas. The Beef Short Ribs were well seasoned, a little tough and and chewy, I thought they would be more tender. But the flavor was really good nevertheless. The plantain were sweet and well fried. One piece of plantain was undercooked. I am glad I gave this place a try. I rarely order carry-out but I will add this one to my rotation.

The beautiful artwork featuring local women of color from Colombia adds a great cultural touch, and there's plenty of parking. I ordered the Papas Rellenas (picadillo-stuffed potato fritters), which were really big, dense, and satisfying for $5. I also got the bandeja paisa (with kidney beans, steak, fried egg, pork belly, etc.), knowing it would take about 20 minutes on a Monday at 10:45 a.m. That wait felt outrageous, though--only about 10 people were in a space that could easily hold 100. However, the pork belly and steak wasn't overcooked and very flavorful. Even the sausage bursted with flavor. The food was authentic and tasty, but the long wait is a dealbreaker for me unless I'm with a friend craving Latin food and have time to spare. I probably won't return on my own unless it's a weekend and I have time to kill.
