I would suggest having the chips with the bottled salsas since those are much tastier. The interior of the restaurant is an explosion of color and decor, this adds to the dining experience. Somebody at our table mentioned that the El Pasos in the DMV were not all owned by a single person, that the brothers in the family had a falling out so these El Pasos have different owners now. That would explain why the El Paso next to Five Guys up on Richmond Highway has such different menus and service. Our favorite El Paso remains the location in Springfield. I went with the birria tacos. They were fat and tasty and came with a great dipping sauce. They also came with rice and beans on a separate plate. A kind of white queso fundido was ordered for the table to go with the brightly colored tortilla chips. This cheese sauce was more like gravy than a true queso fundido. Parking is tight but you will always find parking in back near other businesses.
