We stopped here on our way back to Phoenix. The food was good. I had shrimp tacos and my co-worker hat beef taquitos. The customer service was pretty bad. No welcome or hello when we entered. Then we were told to seat ourselves where we wanted. The was food just dropped at the table, never refilled the drink,barely gave a minute to look at the menu then took a while to return to the table. It was very awkward to enter a restaurant and not be greeted and seated. Never going back again and will not recommend it to anyone. read more

If you happen to be traveling thru Snowflake do yourself a favor and have a meal here. This family fun place is a gem if you like Mexican food. The service is great and the food is excellent, large portions. I had the green Chile burro, it was wonderful. No liquor or beer, but you get huge glasses of soda. The pollo especial really is all that, but haven't had a bad meal here yet. They can bring the heat if you ask. Good kids menu also. Service is fast and polite. Eva will come and chat with you to make sure you're satisfied if she is there. No alcohol, so if you want a beer with your dinner you'll have to take it to go, only reason I'm holding one star back. Otherwise, the only reason to not come in is if you suffer from Staurophobia. If you're travelling within 50 miles of Snowflake, it's worth the detour. read more

Excellent Mexican Food! Stopped by after visiting the Willis Farms Pumpkin Patch! We're from Tucson, AZ, basically Northern Mexico, so we are always hesitant to eat anywhere else for Mexican food, because nothing compares to our hometown when it comes to quality Mexican food. This place was amazing! Easily as good or better than a lot of places back home, and we can't wait to come back next time we're up North! Food was very good. Service on the other hand was one of the worst we've had. Waitress seemed annoyed with us and there was only two other tables at the time. When she brought our food out she kind of just tossed it in front of us without saying a word. Did not ask if we needed anything else or if everything was okay. My order was incorrect and I just ate it anyways. She never came back to ask if we needed anything. I had to get up to ask for more salsa and water. When she brought that check she put it on the table without saying a word to us AGAIN. My husband and I are pretty friendly and very generous tippers according to service. We are very disappointed with the service especially because there are not many options to dine out in such a small town. read more

Great Mexican food. We have gone three times this summer. The enchiladas here are just great as was the service. Don't care for the religious stuff, this is a restaurant, not a church. But still, the food is great which is what counts. Will be going again when we get back next summer. read more

One of the best Mexican restaurants in the south west. The food has good flavor, but they have a sweet salsa which the family loved, however I like more heat in the salsa. The price is mostly fair. Depending on what you get, some platters can be pricey. They have lunch specials for a fair price. The service is very friendly and inviting. Absolutely love their food and atmosphere. Hubby and I eat there often and have ALWAYS had delicious meals. So relaxed and friendly there.

The food is great and consistent. The staff is always friendly. Since it's (translated to) Eva's Kitchen, she is always happy to customize your order, make things that aren't on the menu, and if you don't know what to order she will ask you if you want chicken or beef and take it from there. The food here is pretty good, the refried beans were kind of bland but still not bad. I wish I would have tried the black beans instead. I had veggie fajitas and they were awesome, I would definitely go back for them. The rice was flavorful. The restaurant was clean. The guacamole was terrible. I assume it came out of a package. The menu says they charge for a 2nd bowl of chips, which is fine, but ki d of silly, they were good, but they were cold and in a tiny sandwich basket with no liner and about 30 chips for 4 guests. The salsa was great, and the side salad was decent enough, it would have been nice to have some more chips and salsa with the salad, but the servers do not even ask if you want anymore. I think it was $1.50 for more which if they presented them better and kept them hot I would have purchased more, they were so cold they tasted stale. Maybe they dont like to make chips in the back? Either way, I would say that I would go back but there are 3 other Mexican food restaurants on the way to Eva, so I would try a different restaurant before going back just yet. There is a lot of religious decorations but I really dont feel that it stands out in my face. Jesus was a great man,he deserves to be praised, but if he was as humble as he seemed-I dont know if he would agree with this kind of attention. To me the restaurant atmosphere felt more like a steakhouse decor and they even kept the boardwalk sidewalks outside the building. I liked that. The servers were kind and efficient. read more

We had come to Snowflake to pick pumpkins, we yelped and Yelp did not let us down. There were nine of us. They got us right in. The staff was extremely friendly and welcoming! The food was amazing. Our favorites included the poblano especial, the pollo especial, and the black beans yum! read more

Outstanding! We are in the area for a week, will be here two months next summer. This is a surefire repeat place to go. We are already planning on having our 52nd anniversary dinner here next summer. Super food, great service and very warm and friendly atmosphere. Fish Tacos were wonderful. We looked at all the Mexican restaurants in town. You can tell by the parking lots, who serves the best food. By far, LaCocina de Eva had the fullest parking lot. Large amount of seating, didn't have to wait even though the parking lot was full. This place is amazing. Everytime we are in the area we come here. The Chile poblano is one of the best dishes I ever tried. They also have great carne asada. Worth the trip and you will probably see Eva waling around making sure you liked your meal. read more

WOW! This place has gone downhill. We stopped going because the prices went up and the food quality and quantity went down. Who likes half cooked tamales? Our recent visit was a disappointment, service was slow and Eva was too busy sitting at another table visiting to take care of the folks around her. Giving this place a one star for clean. They used CANNED chicken for the chicken filling instead of fresh cooked chicken.....what in the world is that about? Don't they think people know the difference between fresh cooked and canned chicken? At least warn the customers, so they can make another selection. Also, their hamburger my son ordered was just your run of the mill frozen cardboard patty with no taste. A request for a "little: sour cream, brings you some in a dessert dish along with a whopping $3 charge. Really surprised because of the facade of bible verses everywhere, which appears to be hiding their true authenticity. Beware! read more
