Best restaurant in Red Bluff? Well, we went their twice in 100 degree weather to and from our drive to Lassen Volcanic National Park in the summer. Good prices, plentiful portion sizes and outstanding Mexican food. I had the delicious enchiladas in salsa verde sauce covered with cheesy goodness and complemented with sour cream, greens, creamy beans (so good!), and rice. I only wished I lived closer to go there regularly. Definitely worth a stop if you're in the area! read more

When it comes to Mexican restaurants, we have quite a few here in Red Bluff. Almost as many as Chinese restaurants! La Corona is a good choice for decent American style Mexican food. It just your normal burritos, enchiladas, tacos and other normal favorites, served with rice and beans. I decided on this visit to just get a single steak burrito wet style, covered with sauce, rather than get the hand held no sauce burrito. If you're eating inside a restaurant, you might as well use a knife and fork! The burrito was good, maybe not as good as something from the depths of Los Angeles, but for Red Bluff it's pretty good. When I visited La Corona Mexican Restaurant, we were craving authentic mexican food. I pulled up the trusty Yelp app and found they have great reviews and yummy pictures. My ordered 2 crispy asada tacos, with beans and rice. Coming from a family where we cooked authentic cuisines, La Corona hit the nail on the head. The rice and beans tasted just like home. As I bit into my tacos, the flavor of the asada might just be better than mine, haha! Each savory bite I took I felt like my eyes rolled to the back of my head it was so good! This is a perfect spot to indulge in your cravings. I highly recommend you to stop in and try for yourself the different plates they have to offer. Wow that is the BEST salsa I have had in YEARS. Chips are huge and warm. Even during Covid they practice safe distancing and protocols to make me feel comfortable to eat in house. Atmosphere is welcoming and authentic music wafts thru the dining area. Rice is flavorful, guacamole is awesome, carne asada has rich flavors. La Corona has been out go-to place in Orland for quite a few years. our last visit was rather disappointing. The food quality has slipped not to mention the smaller portions on the plate. Whatever oil they were using seemed to be off flavor or rancid. The wait staff was still above and beyond friendly and efficient. The beer still the coldest in town.
