It's a nice place with charming old school table and service. It was easy to stay carnivore it's a bbq joint. Usual varieties at the soda fountain.

A gem of resturant in the old Hal's Eat em Up. Ramon has moved out of the Palomino Room into a stand alone building. Service was prompt. Food selection was plentiful. Presentation was mouthwatering and the food was beyond delicious ample portions and the tri tip melts in your mouth. Restroom was clean. The beans could have been a entree they were so tender and full of flavor. You will not be disappointed.

Yummy. Everything is yummy! The owners serve tri tip, chicken, pork, and salad. I recommend the tri tip sandwich.

They always made us feel welcome, and I especially appreciated how they made my wife feel special every time we visited. In the past, walking through the door meant hearing warm greetings from nearly every staff member. It felt like coming home. Unfortunately, our most recent visit was completely different. We didn't recognize anyone, the warm atmosphere we had grown to love was gone, and the service felt impersonal. Instead of feeling like valued longtime customers, it felt as though it was our very first visit. Change is inevitable, but the sense of family that made Casa Ramos so special seems to have disappeared. Sadly, after more than 20 years of loyal patronage, I don't think we'll be returning. The restaurant is clean and brightly decorated with plenty of parking. The food is very good with extremely large serving sizes. The menu is huge, you're sure to find something you like. Even the margaritas are extra sized with several varieties to choose from. I had the top shelf Casa Ramos and it was delicious. I ordered the seafood chimichanga, Yum! My son ordered a carnitas burrito and it was huge. He's a big eater and he even had leftovers. Also ordered were the fish tacos and chili verde, served with warm tortillas. Dinner is started with warm tortilla chips with mild and regular salsa. Both times here have been a good experience, I'll be back next visit.

We went there after bowling...figuring we'd give them some business because we know it's always dead there (always). Empty as usual, we sat down and were given chips...with no salsa. They were out of beer. The waitress was the hostess and probably the cook as she disappeared for long periods of time in the back. Didn't give two cents for our business. It was as if we were bothering her. I'll no longer try to support this place.

It had the double tortilla treatment, with a layer of cheese between the tortillas. Also had a chicken taco, with double tortillas. The chicken was rather finely chopped, with cilantro and minced onion incorporated into the meat. Pretty spicy, but a good thorough heat. No surprise hot spots. I think there was lemon or lime as well as a tomatillo sauce. The waiter was attentive. She made a fresh pot of coffee for me. The decor is dated, and the building feels a bit run down. A social media campaign to inject some buzz and revenue into the business. I recommend!

I especially loved the curly cheese fries, and the fried chicken sandwich was good too. The place is steeped in history. I'm not really a bar person and the energy isn't quite my vibe, but there's a lot to appreciate--especially the wild ceilings packed with random items. It's unique and full of character, even if it isn't perfectly aligned with my usual preferences. My husband, a local who grew up in Butte County, shared some great stories about his Chico State days, back when this was still a quieter town of wealthy families with unpaved roads. Those little pieces of local history made the visit even more interesting. A solid, character-filled stop if you enjoy the Bar vibe, you're hungry after a hike and open to a place with real personality.

Loads of TVs with a variety of sports events playing. We ordered at the counter and then sat down at a table. We only waited about 15 minutes to get our food. My son and I ordered the Great Bacon Burger and specialized it to our liking. I ordered the side salad and he got curly fries. His roommate ordered the Near Burger with curly fries. When we got our food, the boys' burgers were not the way they had ordered them (one had cheese and the other had tomatoes). And it wasn't clear was whose was whose. My side salad was basic basic fare. I should have ordered the curly fries. I probably won't be back, but it was fun to visit the iconic Chico restaurant.

First off, the rice, white queso dip, cream sauce, salsa and bean dip they have, rival a favorite place of mine in LA called Salsa and Beer I ordered basic cheese enchiladas (one with red sauce, one with green sauce). They were FANTASTIC. If you think something as simple as a cheese enchilada can't be gourmet and elevated, I suggest trying anything from Rick Bayless (Chicago or LA) and El Cholo (LA) with their aged cheddar. All that to say, Casa Rios didn't disappoint. My friend got the chili relleno with cream sauce, one word, FANTASTIC. I like that it had a bit of char to it and that it wasn't super eggy. It had a nice crisp to it. For desert (it being my bday week and all lol) was their coconut tres leches cake with strawberries. Another smash out of the park. I will definitely be back. Eager to try their fajitas, birria tacos and flan. Great job. If I'm in town on Tuesday (8/11) I'll have my bday dinner here.
