Poor service, came with a Party of 10 for mothers day, you'd figure this would be a $250-$300 table before tax and tip so ideally there would be a little urgency on this table. We asked for a high chair on 4 different occasions with 4 different people all ignored me and didnt follow up with status, took approximately 30 minutes to receive after asking for manager to express my concerns. Unprofessional and inconsiderate. Requested to sit for a party of ten but instead we were sat in a part of "five times two", where our party couldn't sit together and enjoy mothers day , but instead had to not speak to each other because of the distance, or stare at each others backs since of the seating arrangements we didn't request. Parents and children couldn't sit together cause of arrangement, it was pretty much a S Show. Additionally, waiter took approximately 20 mins to come to take our initial order, and all the wait staff were milling around in clusters talking in groups while we were waiting to be seen. African American lady next to me claimed she waited 20+ minutes to be seen by the waiter. Finally waiter came and randomly asked "are you being attended to", basically telling us nobody has been assigned to your table. To sum up the rest of the experience, Ticket time was below average (slow), took approximately 30 mins, ordered waters with lemon on the side, lemons came in the waters. Smh. When i asked for a manager at the podium/wait area to avoid not make a scene at the table to help with our seating arrangements, manager came to table and basically implied that i am complaining (in front of the whole table and other guests/ embarrassing) and "sorta-kinda" said we cant sit together because wheelchair reasons eventhough another party of 10 was well accommodated before our visit and after our visit. This whole thing caused a huge scene in which could of been avoided if they sat us down appropriately to our request of a party of 10 and provided us a high chair upon our first request; or better yet simply acknowledge you can't accommodate us before dissapointing us after the fact. Poor systems, management, customer service, and situational awareness. Its hard enough as a person of color to give cracker barrel a try for the first time, i will never ever go again, didnt feel welcome nor appreciated for bringing a $250+ ticket there for poor service and average food. read more

Terrible experience. There was a long wait time for the food to come out, and the food was not fresh; the pancakes tasted burnt and my order was wrong. I did tell the waitress about it, but I advised her not to correct it since the kitchen was taking forever to put food out. It was not busy, but I think whoever was cooking was rushing orders and didn't care about how they came out. This was the worst experience I've had at a Cracker Barrel. When I advised the waitress, Norma, that this was the worst visit, she mentioned it to the manager on duty, Dina, but Dina didn't want to come to our table. That is terrible coming from a manager. If you're going to be running a restaurant, it doesn't matter if it's closing; you should show you care about the customers and handle the issue. We were staying in the hotel behind Cracker Barrel. After a long day of travel we walked over and had dinner. Service was fast and friendly. I had the country fried steak with fries, coleslaw and fried apples. Also had the peach cobbler for dessert (it was my birthday). Everything was spot and very tasty. I haven't visited this Cracker Barrel in a very long time. It's a cool little place to shop and find unique gifts and boutique items. The servers and all of the people working at this location are great. The parking lot looked full, but inside there were plenty of tables. I have always liked the old time charm and decor of the Cracker Barrel restaurants. Just not the food. I ordered eggs over medium, and they were easy - whites were not quite cooked all the way. I did not care for the bacon at all. Not sure where they get the bacon, but I just did not like the flavor. It was cooked ok. The biscuits were great! I ordered the cinnamon apples because I did not want the cheesy hash brown casserole they server. Some people might like this, but I just like plain old hash browns. But the server brought out the hash brown casserole instead, I let her know I ordered the apples and she quickly brought out a dish of the cinnamon apples and I just left the hash browns on the plate and did not eat them. I would say the best part of the meal was the biscuits. They were fresh and hot. But I won't visit Cracker Barrel mainly because I don't like the food. We went to the restaurant at about 3:30 on a Sunday, Mother's Day. They were not busy at the time we were sat at our table. We waited for about 10 minutes or so before anyone acknowledged us. Finally a waitress came, she did not introduce herself, she just commented "she was not our waitress but saw us waiting and took our drink order." After about another 5 minutes or so a lady came and said she was our waitress and did not know her section was sat anybody. She again took our drink order. We told her we were ready to order. I mean after sitting for atleast 15 minutes you would think we knew what we wanted to eat. It probably took another 30 minutes or so to get our food. Some of the food was hot and some of it was cold. During this time our waitress also got seated a large party. From that point on she totally ignored us. My husband ask for a refill and she never brought it. During this time a table of 3 ladies got sat. Multiple waitresses walked right past the table and never acknowledged them either. They finally got up and walked out. The bad part about the whole situation is that there were 3 managers standing by the fireplace chit chatting and never once noticed the slow and nonexistent service. Thankfully, you can get seated pretty quickly as a party of one, which I did by the hostess Heather. I ordered the Grandma's Sampler with pancakes, and hash brown casserole as the side. I was so surprised how quickly the food came out and how fresh it tasted. The downside? The waitress I had nearly spilled water on me, and also spilled water on another table while I was dining in. I also overheard her stating that she gave a party the wrong ticket so I had to double check when paying to make sure I had my ticket. So I had left a customer review not too long ago regarding having issues trying to order Thanksgiving dinner for my company through the store and the catering department I had complained because I had a hard time doing it and it was because they were so busy and now I know why. Except for the gravy that was a little strange though some people liked it the food was excellent. It was delicious. the people who delivered It just did a fantastic job when they set it up very kind and very polite and joyful people. Can we now talk about the perfect mashed potatoes and macaroni cheese to die for? This mac & cheese came with bacon, but it didn't even need it. It's very good on its own with the noodles slightly al dente perfectly and such creamy cheese. I think we served a lot of more of that then normal lol. And though all the pies were fantastic, everyone loved the cinnamon roll pie. Yes, you read that right? It's a thick pie crust with cinnamon rolls baked inside of it. I love the spiral ham that they served which to me is truly what the holidays are about when it comes to ham. We got so many many five star and 10 thumbs up from the The associates at the site. Very bad services since they have checked us in on the waiting list for around 20 minutes but then we had waited 30 minutes and was told that our name wasn't on the list and we need to have our name get on the waiting list again. That's ridiculous. The manager should have handle the situation more professional and reasonable rather than told us to get back on the waiting list again (long waiting line). We supported your restaurant almost every week and this is how your restaurant treated us. We are very disappointed and will definitely stopped going there. When you want a home cooked meal, a good choice is Cracker Barrel. Came here stopping for lunch after leaving Beaumont early in the morning. In route back to Houston, I decided to stop here. It was either this place or Carrino's which lets face it--if you don't want chicken or pasta, doesn't really provide too much variety. Decided to stop here instead because I knew they'd have something I could eat at a bargain. I'm writing this review amist the Covid19 pandemic, and it was still packed at lunch. There was hardly a table available from what I saw. However, I didnt have to wait and was seated immediately since it was only me. Groups of 4 or more may have had to wait, but the waitress I saw working mulitples sections of tables was waiting on customers as fast as possible. I definetly left a tip for her service for which she was quite attentive, got my order in and out right away and came and checked on me for whatever I needed while I dined. I do think it is ridiculous to charge $1.99 for hushpuppies and ended up getting a bigger plate instead of a lunch selection since it would have cost about the same price. Plus, I would get an additional side, which I decided would be a mixed salad to take to go. The waitress obliged, bringing me my salad in a bag to go along with extra biscuits and butter. Decided to look at the salad and saw that this mixed salad was just lettuce-- well a few cucumber slices, but no carrots, cheese, croutons... nada! I asked the waitress about the tomatoes on the salad and she informed me they had ran out. I wish I would have known this prior to ordering the salad! That's my only gripe. Otherwise, the food was delicious!!!!! First thing I tasted was the mac n cheese. I devoured it first before even touching my shrimp and turnip greens. I hadn't tasted good mac n cheese in a very loooong time. I would order both my sides as mac n cheese if I had known how delicious it was! Turnip greens were also very satisfying- not too greasy and meaty that you didnt know you had a vegetable. Shrimp had a nice breading and seasoning--hardly wanted or needed to use the cocktail sauce. Lastly, the biscuits....Ohhh MY Gosh! My carbs that day went insane because the biscuits were so fluffy, buttery, and melted in my mouth. I hadn't had homemade biscuits in so long and my tastebuds knew it and acted a fool! I ended up eating the extra biscuits when I got home! Terrible yes, but I really do NOT regret it. Most importantly, the employees despite being short handed from people calling in for work because of COVID19 were sincere, appreciative, and had outstanding customer service.
