I'm not usually a fan of Rosca de Reyes, like, at all but THIS one completely changed my mind. It was warm and fresh when I picked it up, super soft, moist, and delicious. You can tell it's made with real ingredients and care, not that dry, bland, mass-produced stuff. I bought the medium for $35 and the large is $45, which honestly feels fair for the quality. I've heard Costco sells theirs for around $19, but that's basically the Bimbo version and it does not compare. This one tasted homemade and everyone at home loved it. We finished it the same day! I can't wait to go back and try the rest of their bread. If you usually don't like rosca like me, give this one a chance, it might surprise you. read more

There are a bunch of parking spots here! A little bakery shop where mainly locals come. I wasn't sure if their conchas were good, so I popped in and bought just one. After tasking them, I came back and bought a bunch more for the family. Their conchas are super soft and just perfect. The cashier recognized us when we came back and was very welcoming. Came yesterday in the early morning. They had conchas and butterfly cookies in small versions of the large ones which were the perfect size! Usually both are large and I get full fast but this way I can eat more and feel less bad about it Both conchas and cookies were delicious and the butterfly cookies were great consistency, being flaky and sweet! Found a local panaderia in Azusa that makes some yummy pan dulce. Been there twice and both times they were out of the mantequilla. Sadly, I'll have to try again earlier in the morning. Don't know the names of the other two that I like but those were available both times, thankfully. One is a sugar-covered ball with a thin layer of cream filling down the middle and studded with raisins. The concha's are reliably fresh and delicious as well. Friendly service. No seating, more of a take out bakery. Will come back to learn more names of each of the pan dulce as they have a sign describing each one. read more

I'm tempted to say come early (or late) to avoid the lines but the lines give me the feeling like I'm an old timer in the town square lining up for bread. Hidden gem, found out about this place from a friend. Best referral is usually word of mouth. Tried chile & cheese tamale that was absolutely delicious. It's definitely hard to find one that not dry, well proportionate in masa & tasty. Love that they open extremely early. Only wish they would be open maybe half day on a Sunday especially for those after attending church. Love the little size cookies, not stuck trying a regular size & not liking it. They have disposable gloves for when you're picking your Pan dulce. The staff is friendly and fast. They usually have a line early, so if you're trying to get tamales get there early. I picked up some fresh tamales and a small concha for lunch from this establishment. It's a little bakery that is very clean inside. I like how all the fresh baked goodies are in closed cases you're able to pick from yourself. They offer disposable gloves and trays for you to grab your baked goods, similar to like 85 degrees. It was my first time trying a concha, so I got the mini sized one. It was about the size of my palm, a great snack size. The tamales were decent. The masa was pretty good but the filling was a little dry in both the pork and chicken. Of the two, I preferred the pork. You are able to preorder large quantities of tamales for the holidays here too. They accept cash and card, but there is a small surcharge for cards. I would give this place overall 3.5/5 read more

I refer so many people to come here and they are not ever disappointed. The bread is the freshest ever sometimes if you go early enough in the morning you can actually get your conchas hot. Where do you ever get that at. I live around the corner and I go often! And there tamales are the bomb. I've only tried the green chicken but they are so good never a disappointment. I believe the tamales are $20 dollars a dozen which is the average price for them but because of higher prices probably more. But my friend compared it to A soft tissue paper. Their bread is always freshly made, and the bread is good for a couple days after purchase (most other bread breads aren't) You can tell a hard working, honest family is running it, and I love to see that! We'd visited this bakery a few times before the pandemic. I don't remember if the bread was good or not. What I do know is that well before the pandemic, this bakery is often completely closed (empty, lights off, etc) or open. On 8/29/2020 I saw a 5-star review posted 1-day ago. Marvelous I thought, they're open for business. However, as it turns out, as of 8/29/2020 it is permanently closed. The reason for the 1 star is that this bakery has 5-star posts posted during every time they've been closed! Tamales are sold a dozen for $14, or $2.50 each. They make jalapeno and cheese, chicken or pork. Although it would have been economical to buy a dozen, I just sprung for 4( 2 pork, 1 pollo and 1 cheese). They are made smaller than some places but had great flavor in the masa. I prefer the pork and cheese over the chicken, which was a bit dry. Chocolate conchas taste like chocolate and they make smaller sized white conchas for $1 for 3.
