I'm not usually a fan of Rosca de Reyes, like, at all but THIS one completely changed my mind. It was warm and fresh when I picked it up, super soft, moist, and delicious. You can tell it's made with real ingredients and care, not that dry, bland, mass-produced stuff. I bought the medium for $35 and the large is $45, which honestly feels fair for the quality. I've heard Costco sells theirs for around $19, but that's basically the Bimbo version and it does not compare. This one tasted homemade and everyone at home loved it. We finished it the same day! I can't wait to go back and try the rest of their bread. If you usually don't like rosca like me, give this one a chance, it might surprise you.

This place never disappoints. The only thing that I don't like is that I get there by noon time, they sold out of the chicken & pork tamale. Maybe I will go earlier next time. The place is always fresh & the price is reasonable.

    Conchas and butterfly cookies

Came yesterday in the early morning. They had conchas and butterfly cookies in small versions of the large ones which were the perfect size! Usually both are large and I get full fast but this way I can eat more and feel less bad about it Both conchas and cookies were delicious and the butterfly cookies were great consistency, being flaky and sweet! The staff is very friendly and they take apple pay too! Will be coming back again

I was stuck with Superior's inferior pan dulce until I found this place. I'm tempted to say come early (or late) to avoid the lines but the lines give me the feeling like I'm an old timer in the town square lining up for bread. The youngster that works there is an Eagles' fan to boot. Score. Support this family biz. I have hopes this is one of those rich but modest Mexican families living in Covina Hills.

Today is Thursday June 12th and their closed. N there's no signs or anything. They do this very often. Supposedly they only close sundays and Monday but they open whenever they want to. Don't care about customers

Great pan dulce, this place makes the best sweet bread in the valley! Service is great and if you get there early in the morning the aroma from the fresh bread is awesome!

I came in around 5:30pm and was able to grab this chocolate ganache cake. I noticed that some of the other cakes were already taken which id assume means they're quite popular! The lady who helped me out was very kind and she was nice enough to take the time to write "happy birthday dad" on the cake thank you so much! We finally had the cake again few days later at my dad's birthday dinner and it was DELICIOUS! I honestly want to come back here and try some of their other cakes. They also have other pastries that you can come in and pick out too if you were craving anything sweet in the moment. This bakery is truly a sweet hole in the wall spot that I hope gets more recognition over time! Thank you again for the great service and delicious cake!

I came in on the way to a birthday party on a Sunday afternoon and they saved me. While they customized the cake I ran into Smart & Final next door and picked up some things. The cake itself was absolutely delicious. Pictures do not do it justice. The sponge cake is super moist and tastes amazing. The butter cream and toppings are all excellent as well. Got lucky with the Yelp pick once again. This will be a regular for my cake needs from now on, and will definitely save me some trips to Porto's (but not all of the trips.. Portos's is Porto's after all).

When I bought the peach donut, I was expecting something like the strawberry donut where each piece would be coated well and crisp exterior when you bite. Unfortunately, the peaches fall apart and sort of 'slump' over and does not maintain a crisp fruit texture. While off-putting, the slices themselves are coated with something very pungent, I had a piece in one of my two donuts that felt like there was a sort of 'extract'-level ingredient that made it feel like it was taking away from the peach. As much as I love peaches, this one does not slap as hard as the strawberry. I give this a 5 just for the uniqueness of the donut casing and strawberries. (Also not a fan of the tiger tail, it is said to be the next best item here, but it just lacks flavor throughout the tail)

Entering the small shop, I was immediately greeted by a friendly staff person. The entire shop is decorated with Latin themed decor and pictures of famous Latina women. There was a small selection of desserts. I was hoping that they sold slices of cakes so that I could sample them, but no luck. I picked up: Churro cheesecake Strawberry Ricotta cake Polvoron cookie White Chocolate Raspberry Muffin Chocolate Turtle Bundt slice Oreo Brownie Cafe de Olla latte Everything was good. It's so cute that they package the muffin in an individual bag, perfect for gifting .The chocolate turtle Bundt slice and churro cheesecake were my favorite. The bottled Cafe de Olla latte was AWESOME!! It comes from a place called The Brew House in La Puente. They also sell potted plants if you need some greenery with your desserts. I asked when the best time to come and get the biggest selection of items, and was told that Thursday afternoons after lunch would be best. I'll have to come back then and hope for more new things to try!

There's a little something called MENTAL HEALTH. This includes doing things that make you FEEL better. Sure, that 'runner's high' we get from time to time feels good, but, how about satisfying ME for a change? You on board? Ok, cool, cool. So, let's take a break from that health kick and reward ourselves with a little treat? I've found the perfect place." So, if your "sweet tooth" could talk, this is EXACTLY what they'd be saying about this bake shop. Seriously, there is NO BETTER place to satisfy your sweet tooth, and not a more deserving baker in the area which would be grateful for you stopping in and doing so. I've tried LOTS of goodies from this spot, and not ONE THING has disappointed me or my family. The only disappointment we feel, is when whatever sweets we picked up are all gone. Womp, womp. Also, let me let you in on a little secret. You aren't dealing with a run of the mill, let me start my own business dreamer. Nope, you've got a full on CHEF running this operation, who is a master at her craft, and the proof is most definitely in that pudding (I don't think I've ever seen her offer pudding, but like, if she did, the proof would be in it). In addition to the delicious treats on display, she takes custom cake orders, and let me tell you, if you think what is offered in store is good, just WAIT until you try one of her mind blowing cakes! So good. So decadent. So....ugh, just go buy one already. She made a nutella cake for my daughter's thirteenth birthday and it was freaking delicious.
