Great little panadería in Azuza. Been here a few a times and haven't been disappointed. Everything I have picked up has been good. There is plenty of pan dulce. If that's not what you're looking for there is tamales, tortas, empanadas and bollios con queso too.. They have a kitchen that makes other plates I noticed. There is also champurrado and cafe de olla. Check it out it's worth a try. You'll find something you like.

Saw on Yelp that this spot had really good reviews. I could smell the fresh bread the second I walked into the shop. They not only serve pan dulce, but they also sell food. The workers there are extremely nice. I got two bags of pan dulce and Caldo De Res for my Tia. She thought they were really good. Will definitely be back for more! This spot is located in a small lot and I had no trouble with finding parking.

Pan dulce is amazing THE BEST

I've been coming here since college was across the street. I'd have a limited amount of time so I decided to check them out. I was instantly hooked on the empanadas they have here. They got a little bigger in space and also expanded their menu which now includes Tacos (BEST PASTOR AND ASADA ever) and the service was amazing. The kindest people, I felt at home while eating inside.

This place was nice to find , their hasn't been that many panaderias around so to find one with fresh baked bread was a hit ! Tired of going to the grocery store and getting old bread I gotta come early next time I came towards closing time gotta check them out during the AM !

I heard this place had good tamales so I figured I'd check it out for dinner. I got some tamales and pan dulce. The outside and inside look really unassuming, but the quality of their food is pretty good. Tamales were tasty and flavorful I got the pork, chicken, and cheese each about $1.80. The quantity of each tamale kind of varied because some of mine were more stuffed and some less, but still all very tasty. My favorite was the pork, but chicken and cheese were close seconds. When entering the store the smells really show you that everything is freshly baked. The breads were all good quality and I could tell they were well baked by how fluffy the concha I got was and how crispy my strawberry pastry was. I'll probably make this place my go-to instead of getting my Mexican breads at grocery stores. Will definitely be back to try more of their pastries and food!

I'm sorry but bread is too dry and not very appetizing. Seems like they use wheat which is why it's dry .

This kind of Mexican restaurant is right up my alley. Great food, stiff drinks, excellent service, and lively atmosphere. Oh, and plenty of chips and salsa!! I had the two tacos combination platter (one beef, one chicken) w/ a skinny jalapeño margarita. Along w/ guacamole to accompany the chips and salsa for the table - this meal was incredible. I could've walked out and gotten hit by a bus and would've been happy that this was my last meal. We were seated upstairs and it was a little more intimate and cozy w/ low ceilings (look out tall people!). Service was so on point, we never had to rubberneck once, the servers were always present without being overbearing. Not sure if there is dedicated parking for the restaurant, but there was plenty of street parking during Sunday afternoon. I think I found my new favorite Mexican spot in the Covina/Azusa area!!

The evening we went the restaurant was 80% full. The staff greeted us when we walked in. I believe one of the gentleman might have been the owner himself. He was super welcoming . The restaurant has great decor all over the restaurant and a lively atmosphere. The staff that helped us were all attentive and personable. We were given chips and salsa shortly after seating. I love the locations that offer fresh crispy chips. I ended up ordering one of Desebrada Shredded Beef Burrito (wet) and they told me I could do the half red and green sauce. I also ordered one of the Chicken Dorado (crunchy taco). My wife ordered a taco combo plate and Jalapeño Vodkarita. The portions were generous and abundant. My burrito was hefty! I enjoyed every bite of that wet burrito. Saucy and full of deliciousness. The affordable pricing is great because of the amount of food. The taco was fine, but I'd got with a burrito again since you can take the rest home. My wife enjoyed her food and drink. We had never been here in all these years. Max's Mexican Cuisine will be on our list again when are craving some Mexican food. ( ^_^)b

Service: 5 out of 5 their employees are very pleasant and professional. They gladly answer all your foodie ingredient questions. They are more than accommodating. You will see, they are genuinely nice. As far as the ambience goes, for certain a stro g 4 out of 5. Nothing can be more comforting than to sit back and relax here. They have hi tables woth stools, as well as the hybrid style booth/table combo. Fans are always circulating and it is definitely not too stuffy. They do have music playing in the background, but it is not too loud like many places do. We have been back to try new and different dishes....all have been very tasty. A smaller and cozy place to have a nice meal. I can tell they cater to the local college students and offer a student discount. ***Hidden Bonus: their café de la olla is DELICIOUS! You can twll they make it fresh regularly and do not let it sit. It is by far waaaaay nicer than what they serve anywhere in the area. We would drive to get a nice cup in Monrovia, but this café de la olla beats it hands down. It is NOT bitter, nor is it over sweetened! So.etimes we swing by for a To-good cup. We recommend this place for everything: nice food served with a friendly smile.
