Amazing service! Food was fresh and amazing taste, cool environment to chill, the restaurant is nice for family time, and meet up with friends or a date!!

Excellent mojito's. Friendly staff. Nice ambiance as well! Their arepas were super appetizing. I didn't know what they were but shout out to my waitresses Carolina & Francisca. They got me hip to everything I needed to know and made a great recommendation for the arepas queso trio. The chicken soup house made is a nice bonus. Sort of like a bread basket.

Unexpected cute place on 8th street. All open windows/doors allows you to enjoy the Little Havana vibe from your bar stool. The sushi and tuna mini tacos were delicious. Seriously darn good. The salmon is torched so you get that smoky taste but without overpowering the salmon taste. The spicy sauce in the tuna tacos will make you wipe your brows but there is enough tuna tartare in them to enjoy the combination. They specialize on sake and wine as they don't (yet) have a full spirit license. But they can still make some nice cocktails to enjoy your sushi with. I recommend this cuttle little place after strolling down Little Havana

Located down in Little Havana, come on in. On a busy street so if you like the heat, sit on the patio. AC is pumping inside. Came in for sushi with a Latin flair. Although no sushi anywhere on the menu. When in Cuba.... lol! So tried the Shrimp Arepas. Very tasty and enjoyed the base it sat on. The polio empanada was about a 6/10. Was a little too greasy for me. That FLAMING hot sauce on the side had to be from scotch bonnets! Was way too spicy for me. But, if your into the heat, dip the empanada in there. Next we went for the shrimp cocktail with green plantains. Super delicious and a must! The happy hour drinks were the star of the show for me. Lychee Martini and Mango Margaritas! Yum! Vibe was casual, open air so you can be seen and see others. Big screen TV's so we could watch the Charger game (River's we mis you)! Our waitress Cristal was a gem! She was so funny and gave us the best suggestions. My favorite was the warm cup of pollo soup when you first sit down. That was a 10/10 cup! Only suggestion is to take down the sushi pics so others don't make the same trip over there looking for a hand roll! lol! Gracias Cristal! See you again soon!

What a hidden gem! Service was exceptional! Thank you so much Jovani! Now let's talk about the food... complementary chicken soup to start. From the time I tasted it I knew everything else would be delicious. Everything we ate was so scrumptious and perfectly seasoned including their in house sauces. $6 drinks and let me just say those drinks were some of the best drinks I've had. Good vibe with seating outside as well. Music and ambiance made me feel as if I was on an island enjoying my mojito, piña colada and lychee martini. I would definitely be back.

Stopped by this place to kill time before our dinner reservation across the street, and what a pleasant surprise! As soon as we sat down, the waitress gave us waters and complimentary chicken noodle soup which was such a unique touch (&very tasty). The cocktails are only $6 and absolutely delicious, I was very happy with my lychee martini. The carne empanadas were scrumptious and cooked in an arepa-like bread. They also came with an amazing hot sauce. Great service too. Will definitely be back!

I visited this restaurant a while ago, can't believe I forgot to write a review! Mainly because I loved it so much. I had passed by it many times while going to a popular nearby business, one day after work I felt like eating sushi, looked up a place on Yelp along my route and this came up. The I realized is the restaurant I had passed by many times wondering what it was. It is Nikkei food! Basically the influence of Japanese food on Peruvian food. The flavors are fantastic. Their rolls are rather big, so if you're not sharing be mindful of how much you order. The service was good and the place is nice and quite. Is like a little hidden gem. Prices are on the higher end, but still worth the experience.

Outstanding. Cute new place in the heart of Calle 8. The service was great. They keep an eye on you, I like that. I was there for their half priced hh drinks; M-F 4pm-8pm.

    So delicious and amazing

This was such a good find! My friend and I were looking for a fun new place to try for dinner. I found this great restaurant that has a Asian/Latin fusion with some great ceviche and sushi dishes. I enjoyed the ambience and decor of the restaurant, it has a BoHo vibe. The staff was welcoming and attentive throughout the entire evening. They have outdoor seating, a nice bar centered right when you walk in, and then some seating inside with bamboo walls and white couches. The tuna truffle taquitos were the first thing I ordered, they were absolutely delicious. We also enjoyed the Ceviche Nikkei, Octopus tiradito and the fried salmon roll. Everything was beautifully plated and delicious. The music was also great for the vibe of the restaurant. They even have lychee martini's which ever one of my favorite cocktails. I would definitely recommend this restaurant for a date or just a fun night out in the city.

Ambience and service are great! Sangrias are great as well. Did not like a menu item and the staff quickly adjusted and made a phenomenal alternative. For me the adjustment meant everything.

Me and my friends discovered this place a couple of months ago, and since then we just loooove coming back! Delicious food and drinks, friendly and professional service, relaxing and cosy atmosphere, and ambiance in general --all of it makes it want to come back again and again! It's definitely worth it. All the staff is very kind and appreciative! And it was a pleasure to meet the owner of the place Nelson, who provided us a very warm welcome :) Don't hesitate--you're gonna love it the same as for a brunch/lunch and for dinner! My personal choice here: Tuna taquitos, Salmon Nikkei sushi, Seafood truffle chaufa, Wagyu skirt steak. And of course, of course, Suspiro limeño for a dessert--don't remember, when I tried something delicious like that Shortly saying: just come and check it out! 100% satisfaction guaranteed

First time in Miami and a happened to stop by here. When i say the food AND the service was AMAZING i mean it! Fransica was so helpful with the menu and super nice, she checked up on us to ensure everything was perfect. 10/10 recommend coming here and if you get the chance to be served by Fransica i'm 100% sure you'll enjoy your time!

Our server was friendly throughout the evening and the food was pretty quick to come out. I didn't know before coming here but Cafe La Trova was listed on the Top 50 Bars of North America for 2026 and so I had to get the Buenavista drink which is highlighted as their award winner. Admittedly, I was let down by the drink. The balance was a bit off and overall I wasn't very impressed. However the food more than made up for it. The ropa vieja was very savory and the avocado cream was very zesty/citrus which helped cut down some of the richness of the dish. My only note would be to give some more avocado cream since there were only 2 little dollops. The Arroz Con Pollo was excellent! Super flavorful and I could eat this everyday and be happy. The tomatoes and olives add that extra bit of acidity which was perfect. The live music also added to the ambiance and so if you're someone trying to get that local Miami/Cuban vibe, I think Cafe La Trova is it.

The speakeasy atmosphere is outstanding--walking through the iconic red phone booth feels like stepping into another era, only with much better bourbon. Victoria was an absolute rockstar. She took some fantastic photos of our group (which is no small feat after a couple of perfectly made Manhattans), anticipated everything we needed, and somehow managed to make us feel like regulars on our first visit. Speaking of Manhattans... they're exactly the way we like them: balanced, boozy, and dangerously easy to order "just one more." Pair that with a great cigar, comfortable seating, and an atmosphere that somehow feels both upscale and relaxed, and you've got one of the best spots in Miami to unwind. We came for a drink. We stayed for the cigars. We left wondering if we should install a red phone booth at home. Out of control for what likely cost the restaurant $3 in booze. We then wanted to grab something to eat. There were at least 5 nice booths available and we grabbed one. We were then told we had to move. Despite the open and more comfortable places to eat, we were placed at a tiny, round, 3' high wooden table that could barely fit food for two. We ordered an appetizer and a cuban sandwich. The sandwich was small, dry, and lacked flavor. They never returned to even ask if we wanted water. Very disappointing. That said, it's a vibrant place that has great live music and a great Cuban vibe. (It's very loud, so know that). So a mixed bag at Ball & Chain. I might return but it would not be my first choice.

They host a monthly Kitchen Club night. Almost everything was closed in Little Havana by the time I arrived so it was surprisingly easy to find metered street parking only two blocks away. Bar Nancy did not have a cover charge which was nice. The bar is decorated like a pirate ship with many nautical touches. It is named for the brigantine Nancy, which transported war supplies during the American Revolution. The room the bar is located in was small, dark, hot, and crowded.
