The burrata prosciutto salad wasn't what I was expecting, but the dressing on the salad was perfect. The croquetas were FANTASTIC. The texture and flavors of the inside and outside were outstanding and we would come back just for that appetizer. The mocktail mojito was delicious and the lychee drink was good. The steak presentation was fun with it being lit on fire. But the butter/brandy ratio was off and the steak just tasted like alcohol. The fettuccine lobster wasn't anything special, but still tasted good. The table side tiramisu was so neat! The service was slow and we had to ask for water multiple times, but they were still nice. Only thing that almost soured our experince was an extremely unpleasant and rude hostess on the evening of April 5. She was rude as soon as we approached and asked for a table. I have no idea why she was so rude to us as we approached her with a hello and a smile. After she seated us I asked if we could perhaps move to a table away from the live music as I am hard of hearing and didn't want to sit right in front of the speaker. She spoke to me in Spanish which I told her I could not understand and she was also not speaking that loudly after I had told her I'm hard of hearing. Again I was being extremely friendly and patient but she rolled her eyes and was practically started yelling at us. She told us we could sit outside if we wanted even though there was plenty of open tables inside. Not wanting to anger her anymore we went outside to sit on the table on the curb. We made a reservation and were seated promptly. This place is very fun. I suggest arriving right before 8 so you can be there when the music starts on Saturday nights. The band is really, really good. Lots of people dancing. I love the atmosphere. We ordered off the Miami Spice menu. I was overall happy with my food choices but my drink choice was not good. I thought our server brought over a wrong drink because it looked like a glass of champagne was being placed in front of me. The Limoncello spritz did not taste like limoncello. I really don't know what it tasted like but I am very familiar with limoncello and this was not it. I was going to get the garbanzo beans for my appetizer but decided at the last second I decided on picadillo tostones. This was a gamble because I don't usually like tostones but love picadillo. It ended up being an excellent appetizer. Next, was the frutti de mare. This was a great dish. The sauce was delicious and so was the shrimp, lobster, clams and calamari. However, there were like 3 strands of spaghetti. I am not sure what happened but I was already full from the tostones so I was actually better off. The black beans were pretty good. I know, it is a strange combination to have black beans with frutti de mare but I like to keep life interesting. I did try the mashed potatoes and these were amazing. I loved them. Last, I had tiramisu. This was good but I would say the cheesecake was better. It was a very fun evening. They also have a nightclub through the wine doors in the back of the restaurant. As an Italian Cuban fusion, there's a great menu with something for everyone. We started with a Tamal, which was super yummy. The bread was fluffy and omg the garlic and oil that they brought was heavenly. We had a mix of entrees: Ropa vieja, pork chop, shrimp, and carbonara. We had moros, maduros, tostones, and mashed potato sides. Everything was really tasty. The service was a little on the slower side, but it allowed us to enjoy the time with each other and the live music once it started. This was our first time at the restaurant and rather felt very disappointed. Service felt inconsistent and spotty, with some of the servers double asking or not knowing what we had ordered. We also ordered food that never arrived to the table. The bar was probably the most disappointing of the entire night with lukewarm beer, and a complete inability to make any drinks outside of the menu or any accommodations (I asked for an Amaro Spritz and was told it would be "too complicated." The food also was subpar: the ham croquetas and cod fritters probably the best, but everything else was cold and not great. We were told several items in the menu were not available and had to go from a regular t-bone to a dry-aged one due to "availability." Then, sides like tostones or the mixed vegetables were definitely not fresh. The pasta carbonara had an extremely large amount of cheese that made it almost unbearable. I went to this place for drinks and a bite. The bartender, V, was great. I would definitely come back for her cocktails and friendly conversation. We started with the charcuterie board, but it was quite disappointing. There were no figs, and there were only three pieces of bread for a lot of meat. We asked for recommendations, but it was unfortunate that the staff hadn't tasted their menu, especially since it is a new establishment and new customers often ask for the best meals to order.
