Bring cash or checks, credit cards are not accepted! The pasta dish was large and tasty, our server attentive.

First off please bring CASH. No cards are accepted so that gives you an idea how old school Italian this magnificent joint is. From hand rolled gnocchi to spaghetti & a meatball or veal/chicken parm. Or get a sampler plate. Please start with a insalata cheese salad with house Italian dressing. Man I love eating here when I can.

Had a pretty decent first experience here when we went. Really enjoyed the appetizers of the pepperoni rolls and fried zucchini. For dinners, we tried the Veal Parm and a Tuna Salad Croissant with fries. The veal parm was pretty good. It was a little thick, and needed to be pounded down a bit, but it was good. The Tuna salad was generous on the croissant. The fries were a normal frozen crinkle cut. Our kids tried a Fried Fish sandwich (adult portion), and regular pasta dishes. There was nothing left of the fish sandwich, as my daughter loved it. The pasta dishes were also a hit. Service was okay. Our waitress was very, very nice, but a bit forgetful. We had to ask for a few things a few times (like the bread and butter, my soup, the fries for the sandwich...), but she was very nice. They were a bit busy, so we'd give her a little lee way. We would go back and try something new.

My family had a post-funeral lunch at La Eda's on a Friday around 11:30. We had a majority of the dining room filled, but other customers were still able to eat. They offered a mini menu for us to order from. My boyfriend and I both ordered ravioli, mine cheese and his meat, and salads. My niece ordered the Italian Wedding Soup. Our salads had their house dressing and wasn't too bad, but I am typically a ranch girl. I wasn't too fond of my ravioli, but Andrew loved his. I saw the chicken Parmesan plates were massive! Dessert was keystone cake that we had provided ourselves! Overall, we had a nice experience and it was nice to find a place to host my large (25+) family.

    Wedding soup was delicious!!

This place has the best ravioli's! I also love their house dressing. It is an oil and vinegar blend that is tasty. The appetizers are huge! The prices are very reasonable for the amount of food you get and the quality of the homemade dishes. It is cash only though! I travel about an hour to come here sometimes and it is well worth it.

Gnocchi Half N Half...my favorite (I added the Parmesan)

The food was terrible. Worst sauce ever. I only finished my meal because I was paying the overpriced bill.

Great local staple. All the food is homemade. The dough is hand made and rolled. The gnocchi's are great!

We enjoyed our dinner at The Back Porch Restaurant in Belle Vernon, PA…read more This restaurant is about 1 hour drive from downtown Pittsburgh. We are in town for a wedding. The building is a beautiful mansion Est. in 1806. The mansion was converted to a restaurant in 1975. You need reservations for the upper upscale dining area. We decided to eat in the Speakeasy room located in the basement because it was more casual. Glad we ate in speakeasy room because it was a really nice cave looking room with vintage decor and cool prohibition photos from the 1920s. We enjoyed the Half Rack of char grilled pork ribs with brown sugar, soy and ginger with a side of cheesy scallop potatoes. For dessert, we enjoyed the crème brûlée and Kahlua cheesecake. Everything we ordered was excellent!! We had really good service. Check this place out if ever in the area. Happy Yelping :)

The ambiance is intimate and welcoming. The interior and decor really add to the charm. We had reservations for 10 at 6:30 on a Saturday. We were sat in a back room at a nice big table. Sonny (sp?) our wait staff did a phenomenal job keeping up with all of our requests. A couple diners in our group were picky eaters, and even with their nitpicking he maintained a great attitude and made sure to make everyone feel at home. They had a great selection of summer specials. I opted for the hibiscus mule - a yummy cocktail with a tequila twist. My husband got the strawberry smash. Both drinks were strong and full of flavor. Thank goodness the homemade rolls came after my drink because the mule was kicking in! The bread was soft and you could tell it was homemade. Then came the food. The presentation was gorgeous and the flavors were on point. We ordered the calamari as our appetizer. Lightly breaded and not overly salty like you get some places. The sweet chili sauce with it was the perfect addition. For dinner we had the prime rib, and salmon Hemingway, with a side of scalloped potatoes and Parisian carrots. I was getting full but couldn't help but finish my salmon. Everything tasted amazing! The potatoes were rich and creamy. I had to save room for dessert. They were out of my first choice of chocolate mousse cake, so I opted for the creme brûlée. Wonderful experience at the Back Porch. I highly recommend enjoying a date night or celebratory dinner here!

Craft cocktails (OMG...the SPRITZ options) & artisan wines meet an ever-changing Italian menu, all served in an effortlessly upscale setting. It is such a thoughtful, personal touch. Wine pick: a bottle of Zenato Valpolicella Ripassa (a must if you love red) What I ordered: smoked provolone, casa salad, cacio e pepe, chicken piccata Finished with a birthday chocolate cake...absolutely delicious Save this spot for your next celebration! 3.5 stars. Long, detailed review... Arlecchino Ristorante is a casual-elegant Italian restaurant…read morethat is uniquely inside a one-room schoolhouse that was built in 1907. This restaurant is open for dinner and catering for dining in and takeout. It has many of the same menu items as its excellent sister restaurant Alla Famiglia. Each meal includes bread and oil, optional appetizers (e.g., meatball and mussels diavolo), a first course of salad and pasta, the chosen main course (e.g., chicken marsala, cacciatore, veal chop, and filet mignon), and then if desired dessert. Alcoholic beverages (e.g., cocktails, wines, and beers) are also available. For my husband's and my wedding anniversary, I made a reservation for Arlecchino through OpenTable. We arrived shortly after they opened for the day. Our first impressions: Valet was required for our vehicle. We felt interested in seeing the exterior and remodeled interior of the schoolhouse. Most of the restaurant was empty then, but the seating hostess took us to the worst table--the smallest table inches from the front door. I requested a different table, and she then gave us a much better one. OpenTable had said that the dress code was business casual, but other customers wore casual clothes, and a hostess wore shorts and a baggy sweatshirt hoodie. Our names were written on a chalkboard above the kitchen and on my menu but not my husband's menu. Our waiter provided timely service and spoke courteously with us. (If you are wondering how to pronounce the restaurant's name, he told me something like are-lee-kee-no or our-lee-key-no.) Here are my ratings for what my husband and I ate: Autumn Spritz - 4 stars - This spritz contained apple cider, Marie Brizard Apry, prosecco, and soda, and I liked its flavors. Smoked Provolone - 2 stars - Smoked provolone was topped with black truffles and arugula. Neither my husband nor I liked this appetizer. I took two bites, and he tried to eat half. Casa Salad - 4.5 stars - This salad consisted of mixed greens, roasted peppers, raisins, walnuts, olives, gorgonzola, and slightly too much vinaigrette. Caesar Salad - 4.5 stars - My husband ate this salad, and he said that it was his favorite food in the entire meal. Cavatappi Alla Vodka - 4 stars - My husband ate this pasta, and I took one bite, and I thought that it tasted good. Cacio E Pepe - 4 stars - Months ago at Alla Famiglia, we loved the locatelli romano cheese wheel at the tableside, so we felt excited to try it at Arlecchino. The waiter definitely mixed the linguini, cream, oil, and pepper in the cheese wheel. This cacio e pepe tasted good but not as great as what we remember from Alla Famiglia. Halibut - 3.5 stars - My main course was this special menu item. The halibut tasted bland but was served with black-tiger shrimp, carrots, tomatoes, zucchini, cauliflower, and butternut squash that added some nice flavors. I did not know the price for this fish until I saw the bill, and it was $72. Veal monzu - 4 stars - The veal was nicely breaded and fried and topped with mozzarella, jumbo lump blue crab, pine nuts, and lemon butter. My husband ate it, and my one taste-test bite indicated that it was flavorful. My husband was not interested in trying dessert, so we skipped it. Our total bill was $178 plus tax, tip, and a credit-card surcharge. Comparatively, I think that Alla Famiglia has significantly better food, but Arlecchino is worth a try.
