I haven't been to this place, but I buy their corn tortillas at Sprouts in Temecula and they are so good. Authentic Mexican flavor.

Their tortillas are top notch with simple and clean ingredients. I highly recommend them, especially the organic spinach variety!

I went out to San Marcos to watch the Hail Mary at the Regal Theater and it was a great movie…read more The movie got out after midnight and we were looking for some munchies. We decided to make a pit stop at the In-n-Out Burger on Grand Ave because it was one of the few places that were actually opened so late. Here's my review. The exterior was as you'd expect from In-n-Out. Maintained and clean with very little trash abound. The interior was also clean and looked standard. Customer service was on-point, friendly and prompt. We ordered Flying Dutchmen and a custom burger; this was because we were trying not to carb overload so late at night. Burgers came in a timely manner and the seating was adequate. This was an average dining experience at In-n-Out and although there were a good number of customers inside eating, the service never faltered and the vibes were chill. Good spot for a late night bite and it's close to the 78 highway ramp entrance in San Marcos too.

I was giddy in my seat on the plane, but this meal was so effing mid. I asked for half chocolate and half strawberry for my milkshake, and they did 1/3 vanilla & 2/3 strawberry flavors? Burger had everything that I wanted in it, but where was the in n out sauce inside? Do we need to specify that we want that in our IN N OUT freakin burger?! Fries at in n out are almost always below average, so idk why I was expecting any different... maybe because I expect the best quality from SoCal in n out locations. My bad on expectations management. Service was slow, too. Nice people, yes, but job done so slow and so incorrectly for my order. Even slower at the drivethru, so just get out of ur vehicle and order in person. Very clean vicinity inside and outside. Not at all messy, despite the many customers that go in n out at In n Out

Ended up coming at the exact time it was finished. Which was perfect! The free reward was a kids meal with chicken bites, onion rings, gummy, and a strawberry lemonade. We also grabbed the new Baja fish sandwich and bbq bacon char with tempura green beans. The fish sandwich was ok, I think they overcooked the fish. The burger was actually better. No complaints there. The green beans have a nice crunch and I love their ranch! Service was good. I was a bit too hungry and forgot to take pics of my food. Happy National burger day! Deal last until June I think.

A few days ago I received a couple of coupons from the Habit fast food restaurant here in San…read moreMarcos. Even though I've been a SM resident for many, many years.. I had never been to Habit for a burger. Since they offered me a free Cheeseburger I figured I'd stop by and try it. They are actually right across the street from In-N-Out where I frequent. Pro's: " The lady who took my order was very nice, efficient, and took the trouble to point out where the self-serve Ketchup, peppers, napkins, etc., were located. She also told me what was on the burger and asked me if I wanted cheese which I said: "Yes." I also ordered "small fries" and a "chocolate shake" and she graciously took my order. " The restaurant was clean and the people working there looked clean and seemed to work efficiently as a team. Con's: " I was there at 8:15 p.m. on July 27, 2026. There were only a half dozen people inside with me. The restaurant was mostly empty. Across at In-N-Out the line of cars were backed up as usual. " The food is CRAP! The cheeseburger was the size of my hand. The beef was tasteless and full of grit.. a sign of cheap hamburger meat. The patty was also small. Looks about 3 ounces. There were caramelized chopped up onions, lettuce, tomato, dill pickle, American cheese (not the expensive kind but the cheap version made with oil) and tasteless mayonnaise on an seeded bun. If they had at least made a simple dressing by adding Ketchup and some relish that would make a much better sauce. As it was, the cheeseburger was just bland. Nothing special. And, as I mentioned, the small portion of hamburger meat was tasteless and full of grit. " The French Fries were also crap. Even the French would have tossed them out although Fries were originally invented in Belgium. These fries were warm but greasy like you wouldn't believe! That's a sign of being fried in oil at a low temperature. If these were the standard frozen fries from Sysco or US Foods they were pre-blanched and should be cooked at 350f for a couple of minutes. They truly were the worst Fries I can remember trying to eat. After 3 or 4 I didn't eat any more. They are probably cooked in Canola oil (Rapeseed oil - the Rapeseed plant is mostly grown in Canada and nobody wanted to use the term Rapeseed as it doesn't sound nice so they call it Canada Oil - Canola). " The chocolate milkshake was crap! This was more like cheap soft-serve ice cream but just a bit thicker. However, it had some ice crystals in it and enough sugar to sink the Titanic! A few sips of that and I had to push it away. The chocolate shake at In-N-Out is real ice cream and thick and cold and not overly sweet. This Habit Shake was like tossing some chocolate syrup into milk, adding a LOT of sugar and turning it into a slush. Nope. Not worth the high price of over $6.00 (with added tax). The beef patty I had at Habit sure wasn't made from the better quality ground beef! What people don't realize, is that ground beef may not be made from the same cow! Beef cuts from more than one cow are placed together within the grinder and mixed. Therefore some ground beef can be a mixture of a fairly young but mature cow and an old cow! Mixing it is a way to smother the older, tougher meat so-to-speak. Last (but not least)... As you see from the photo of the receipt, the cost of the Fries was $3.99 and the Shake was $5.99. With Tax the total of the order was $10.75. If the Cheeseburger had not been free, it would have cost $7.29. So with tax on that burger and adding all the other items.. the total price would have been $18.60. For that quality?! That's crazy! I can go across the street to In-N-Out and get a Double Double with 2 higher quality beef patties, 2 cheese patties, their special sauce, onion, lettuce, tomato, pickle etc., and a small boat of fries including a REAL, thick chocolate milkshake for $13.00. Again, what would a single cheeseburger with one small 3 oz. patty, fries and a chocolate shake cost at Habit? $18.60. Ain't no way Jose! I'm never going back!

The girl at the counter was very friendly and helped me to order. I ordered the original double combo. I filled my drink and grabbed a seat. It wasn't long before my order was ready. There were several sauces to choose from. I liked that they were different than other burger places. My burger was good but I added a bit of salt. I also dipped it in some sauce as it was a little dry. Otherwise, it tasted good and was a big portion. I got onion rings which I liked a lot. It was too much food so I didn't order a custard, but I definitely will try it next time. I look forward to coming back and trying different options 3.5 stars.

The fries are like horseshoe style, which I could live without no meat to bite down Into. But the onion rings were great. Crispy. And the batter was light and air and didn't completely disintegrate when bent or bit ( I will say that with my burger they only gave 7 rings and was told the next size up would be double so like 14 rings) they were delicious. They are also giving a single serving custard, vanilla with sprinkles or chocolate with chocolate chips, with their kids meal in lieu of a toy. Service: friendly quick service and personable. Take away: I would definitely come back opt for the triple and double up on the rings and leave with a concrete which they will prepare at the end of your meal.

To my surprise Water Shack's burgers were delicious and satisfying that I find myself coming back here ever so often. Their burgers aren't the heavy, greasy/high fat patties you would get from other places. However, their 1/4 lb patties are their smallest patties and heft makes for that ideal bun to burger ratio. Did I need to order double patties on most of my burger orders? Probably not. Their patties are on the leaner side but they aren't dry; and the fixings from any burger you choose will satisfy that meaty burger fix you're looking for. The Chicken Patty Melt is also a very tasty item. Very cheesy, buttery and crispy toasted bread with chicken breast. Their fries and onion rings also come air-fried so this place focuses more on the healthier comfort food options that wont leave you feeling heavy and drowsy. This place is also doubled as a purified water dispensary and also serves baked goods and ice cream. Love this type of no-frills, unassuming place with very friendly staff and serves up some delicious food!
