The charcuterie board was big enough to share with 3 but also depends of how much you eat. lol portions tend to be smaller in Italy. However, the sandwich was a nice size. All the cold cuts were fresh and taste was another level. A nice list of wine selection as well.

The staff was knowledgeable on all the different meats and cheeses available and were able to make recommendations based on what you prefer. We ordered a beautiful looking cheeseboard that had a variety of different hard cheeses along with different meats. The presentation was beautiful and we very much enjoyed the entire thing. It is very cool to see the different meat hanging from the ceiling in addition to the wine bottles and the cool ambience that they created in the small location. There are a handful of seats available and then there's even a back room with a few more tables to accommodate a few more people. From a price point perspective, it wasn't too bad, especially if you're swinging in for a snack and a quick glass of wine or a beer.

Le Vespe Cafe - Avocado, salmon and eggs were brilliant. They had a hint of orange or mango citrus, making for a wonderful experience.

A lovely American waitress came over and helped me.(I'm not saying she's lovely because she's American, she just was really friendly) She explained that the cook makes all the poached eggs in one big pot and can't specialize one for a customer. She said they could fry it medium well and that worked for me. The other waitress offered to fry the egg or scramble it but she just wasn't friendly, and she didn't give me all the choices of how I could get the egg fried. That really helped me make my choice. The egg's Benedict came with American pork bacon and not Canadian bacon. The hollandaise sauce was deliciousness, but they give you such a small amount. They need to double it. Another reviewer mentioned how good the green hot sauce was, so I tried it. It was spot on great!! I made sure every bite had the green sauce on it. I usually only like shredded hash browns but their breakfast potatoes were perfect. They weren't hard and had a good flavor. The restaurant was clean but very small. It had a nice relaxing feel. I love to try the food of the country I'm visiting, but after traveling for two weeks it was nice to have something I eat at home. The eggs Benedict was a treat. I had the hot amaretto coffee drink and that just hit the spot and made the waiting to be seated all worth it. The had many types of milk you can put in your coffee, for example, they have soy milk, oat milk, etc. I would definitely recommend this place and come back. Oh and the less than friendly waitress served my food to me with a smile, but she never smiled again and never accepted my thank you's no matter how much I said them. Word of advice don't have a sad face if they can't provide something the way you want it if the waitress is blond and Italian. That will not go over well. You're not allowed to be quietly disappointed.

We had the avocado, salmon eggs plate and the eggs benedict. Both were perfectly prepared and exactly what you would hope for in a top-tier cafe. The cost for the Florentine Steak is €70 per kg (minimum size is 1 kg which is the thickness of the rib bone). The steak was cooked perfectly at medium and was delicious. Everything else tasted very good as well. The owners were very nice and service was good. Check Trattoria Buzzino for some authentic Florentine dishes. FYI: Like most Italian restaurants, there is a service charge ($2.50 per person) if dining inside, but it's cooler and there is light air conditioning.

FOOD / DRINK - So there are a lot of things on the menu that look like what you can see at every trattoria around. But there are some small, subtle differences, tweaks in the descriptions and preparations and seasoning, home cooking and recipes, unique rustic elements. The tomato soup was chunky like a pasta sauce. The tartar was amazingly spiced. The beef stew (peposo) was heavenly. The octopus starter was a hit. The eggs in tomato sauce was enthusiastically consumed. And that's just what I can remember at the moment. Bottom line, there's some great food here that's a bubble off-plumb from the norm (in a good way). The wine list isn't monstrous, but covers all the bases. SERVICE - I walked there to put in a reservation, and the waitress who greeted me seemed sincerely happy that I was going to dinner (and not because nobody else was there). She wasn't around when we arrived, but the lady waiting on our table was friendly, knowledgeable, enthusiastic, and very welcoming. All the service beats were hit, and a bit of the "family" dining feel that makes an Italian restaurant so special. AMBIANCE - Here things are pretty conventional -- there's little about the decor to stand out from every other ristorante in a three block area. But there was nothing distracting or off-beat about it, either. It felt very homey and pleasant, which was just fine. NET-NET - Everyone really enjoyed the wide array of starters, entrees, sides, and desserts we ordered. It was all quite good and, despite eleventy-dozen other restaurants in the area, we may very likely return to this one before we leave town.
