Aside from my girlfriend residing in Duncan, OK for Nursing School at OU I now have another reason to come to the area..... La Fiesta! I"m from Houston... home of 1,000+ taquerias and Mexican restaurants. I've wined and dined at so many of them that I'd say I have a special knack now at distinguishing ingredients, the quality of the ingredients, and the intended flavor of many dishes. Well... I thought to myself .. Hmmm... in Duncan, OK? A Mexican restaurant? I was thinking only thing was Fried Pies, Sonics, mom and pops burger joints and diners, along with fast food restaurants. Ok. Sure why not lets give it a shot. So we did. I was in love. It was real deal Mexican. I seriously loved their extensive menu but the fact that I tried various dishes on the multiple visits they have been consistently great in the quality and taste of the dishes. I have yet to try anything bad. The only complaint that came from a meal one night at the location was from my GF who didn't care for the quesadillas to much but her idea of quesadilla is from Taco Hell so its not saying much. The staff was nice. The drinks were strong and delicious. The sopapilla was so friggin yummy. The chips were crunchy and the salsa was fresh. The restaurant is pretty big and nicely decorated. It is located in a pretty run-down and bankrupt looking mall but thats ok because the cash cow of this plaza/mall is La Fiesta! and they've managed to create their own private oasis away from the dull and boring vibe of the interior of the mall. I've heard of two other Mexican restaurants in the area but this is allegedly the best and honestly I don't care to go to the others to find out. As of now I'm happy and think it'll be hard for the others to compare to the taste of La Fiesta in Duncan, OK. I'll list what I had from the venue that I was ecstatic about. Actually, this restaurant HASN'T burned down twice. It was Don Jose's. I recommend staying away from Don Jose's. La Fiesta is pretty good for the price. read more

La Fiesta has gone down in the recent year. I've continually heard more and more issues with staff taking and using customers credit cards and filling in the "tip" area of the bill. Although I've been a fan of the food, the inability to trust this business is extremely unfortunate and I do not plan of ever giving this place my money again. read more

I love this place! Lived here my whole life and in my opinion is one of the best places to eat. It's fast, friendly, and won't bust your wallet. My wife and I have annual lunch dates here. We recommend the lunch special 4 with cheese sauce, It's out of this world! read more

DAD SAID: "no kidding, I think this is the best Mexican food I've eaten in quite while". Burrito with cheese sauce, I had taco and chili relleno. Great tortillas and great cheese sauce. Only reason for 4 stars was that the salsa was a bit ketchup'y. But worth the stop. Everything else was great. read more

Great food. My family goes there almost every week for their "Taco Tuesday" special. The food is always hot, fast and good. The waiters may lack a bit in personality but they make up for it in speed and attention. The prices are very reasonable, especially if you check out their daily and weekly specials. I spend less there on my family of four than I do at a fast food place and we leave stuffed. The margaritas are awesome too! read more

My favorite Mexican restaurant in town. The burrito gigante is fantastic! Their white quest is so good on everything. The salsa can be a little strong on the cilantro from time to time, but the chips are always yummy and crispy. read more

So, it was great to see that they had at least made an attempt to have Lacto-vegetarian (dairy products/vegetarian) options on their menu. However, they lack any Vegan options. That said, they did take the time to create a vegan dish for me -- beans, rice, grilled veggies in a wrap with guacamole and lettuce/tomatoes. It was pretty tasty. I would hope that they would consider adding 3-4 regular regular vegan options. Also, the decor with the "rain" falling -- whew...the place had a faint "swimming pool/chlorine" smell which was not pleasant. They lose another star because we specifically asked for a booth or table away from any children and then the woman attempted to give us a table in the very back next to a party of about 30 people which included at least 10 kids. Absolutely NOT. We then were shown to a booth closer to the front and away from all the noise. A booth we had already walked by when they tried to seat us in the back. I recently ate here for the first time. I usually eat at the chickasha location and love it, this location was not a positive experience. I arrived around 2pm. There were only a few other diners. I waited at the front to be seated for 5 minutes while two employees stood a few feet away from me (1 on the phone working, the other on his cell phone). After being seated I was promptly brought chips and salsa, which were tasty. I was seated directly in front of a TV and there were several waiters watching a soccer match. My waiter arrived and asked me for my drink order, I told him and was going to ask for queso, but he walked away mid sentence. After he drought my drink, I ordered the same dish I usually get at the other location. I was told it would be extra to order it the way I wanted (never the case at their sister location). The waiter was inattentive and very short in his responses. I had to interrupt the wait staff while they were watching TV. Once to ask where the restrooms were and once to ask for my check. Although the food was good, I have to give a negative review based on the service. read more

The food was decent but the service from our waiter was good! He was very nice and attentive. The atmosphere was not well ventilated and very hot and uncomfortable. Our entire family was sweating and faces were turning red. We had to turn off the light at our table but, it felt like the table we were at was the same temperature as outside: 95-100 degrees. It may have been better sitting outside, atleast there would be a breeze. The bathrooms were unsanitary and I had to ask the front desk to see if someone would attend to it. My son and I got food poisoning shortly after that night and it was awful! We really wanted to like this place but our dining experience was subpar. read more

At one time, this was a decent Mexican restaurant. Time seems to have slowly led to complacency and standards have slipped. From, the time you place your order till the food arrives at you table is usually less than FIVE minutes. Fast service is a good thing but service this fast suggests that the food was already prepared and just placed in an oven for a quick reheat. The food and the plate are both drab and everything is covered with cheese. Bleh. The flan for dessert is hit and miss. Some nights it is very good, others, its a pile of scrambled eggs. read more
