I love this spots because it caters to both the authentic and American Tex Mex pallet through its offerings. The only downside is that there is not an authentic house made mole dish which I am a sucker for! My go to dish is the Enchiladas Americanas with shredded chicken....I know I know, I just said I prefer authentic but who doesn't love a little American queso cheese sauce on their dish??? What enhances the dish is the green and red salsa that both have amazing flavors and you can tell they are made from scratch in house. The red is my go to because the flavor is very homey and comforting but when I want a bit of a kick I get green! The service is always great and welcoming. We luckily beat the Sunday after church rush too because there was a bit of a wait 30 minutes after we came. For my entree I ordered the lunch special pastor burrito. Also, when ordering, I accidentally dropped my straw right by the waitress's feet. I am very visibly pregnant, so bending over to grab anything on the floor is a challenging workout. Instead of offering me another or picking it up for me (it was still wrapped), she just stared at it. I braced myself on the table to pick it up and almost flipped the table (water spilled and items went sliding). Instead of looking in shock, offering to help clean up the water or even laugh, she gave me the Gen Z stare..... this should have been our warning sign for the non existent service that was to come. My main lunch entree was 4 stars (sadly can't say the same for the sides or my husband's), but the service... Got straight into asking did we know what we wanted... rude. Once we got our food, we never spoke to her again. She was still there, but never came to check on us one time after that. I seen her, guess she thought her job was done with us. As I was eating my very greasy filled fajitas I got thirsty. I had a drink already, but she never came back to see if I needed a refill. Then later a gentleman (original waitress was still around) came to our table asking did we need anything, I asked for a refill of my drink. I even said please! He said ok, but I wasn't confident I'd get that drink. I told my wife I bet he'll forget my drink... he did. In fact, he eventually came to our table (with no drink) to clear her plates. I was still eating trying to get the greased up fajitas down my throat. I gave him a look, then looked at my cup to see if he got the hint. He looked at me, and it was as if we've never had an interaction in life before. I was done after that. When I checked out to pay there was no line on the receipt for me to add a tip. I don't know if that's standard here, but I want to say that was God and me being on the same page because I definitely wasn't leaving one. I also got diced asada from street tacos as well it was still on the pricey side but not crazy like the flank. I also bought there homemade tortillas which honestly weren't good they were hard and stuck together what a waste of money we didn't like then at all. When you come here you'll need to have patience as when I went only one person in the whole place spoke English so you have to wait for that one person to come and help. Overall, I'd probably stop by again for other iris like the baked goods and the fresh drinks they make. This place is only just way too expensive.

This store has lots of Latin-American goods and even already made foods for those days you don't feel like cooking. Staff works quickly and efficiently, the space is laid out quite nicely, and quality goods.

What immediately stood out to me was that no one else was seated there, and neither of us drinks. At the same time, I could clearly see several empty tables available in the front dining area where all of the Caucasian customers were seated. As an African American woman, I felt confused, saddened, and deeply uncomfortable. It was difficult not to question why we were being separated from everyone else. With respect, I explained to the waitress that I did not want to sit "in the back" and politely asked if we could be seated in the same area as the other guests. She appeared visibly annoyed and stated that she would have to go ask someone. At that moment, I had no desire to argue or create a confrontation. No one should have to feel unwelcome or question whether they are being treated differently while simply trying to enjoy a meal. Rather than endure further embarrassment or discomfort, my friend and I quietly chose to leave. It was frustrating to experience something that made me feel unseen and separated while spending my money just like every other customer. I am not my ancestors, and I refuse to accept being made to feel hidden, excluded, or less deserving because of the color of my skin. Every person deserves to be treated with dignity, respect, and equality!
