Went here on a Sunday evening and I have no complaints. They were able to accommodate my party of 8 with no issues. Wait staff friendly and food was excellent.

Family is still COVID Cautious, and they listed outside seating. I did not see photos. Well, they have great outdoor seating, has a fireplace also. (Too hot now). Service sat us no issues, and I was glad the waitress came out with a mask on. She says she always wears it! Yeah! Good selection of, seems Tex-Mex to me? But great huge servings, spouse's beer was in a 32 oz mug looked like a pitcher! Ice cold he said! (I find drink) Sister (age 64) only wanted one taco, beans and rice, so waitress kindly suggested the kids menu. Very nice of her! All and all a great meal. BTW, the meat had some awesome flavored spice, Not hot at all, but delicious! I forgot to ask what!

Great food! That is not the issue. Service? On par! However, telling me a waitress gave me "poor service" when I tipped $9?? Ridiculous! Look at the receipt! Trying to "guilt trip" me into feeling bad about my tip??? I had to pull the waitress aside and ask her about this. They said it was "out of their control". It was,"upper management". I'm going to call the manager next!

Always love La Cocina in Mebane! Great food, quick friendly service and they rarely laugh at my attempts at speaking Spanish (that I know of)

1.5/5 - I ordered a bean burrito with veggies, took a bite and there was chicken in it. Took forever to flag our waiter down, and when I explained to him that I'm vegetarian and asked for beans and not chicken, he stared at me, gave me a dirty look, and without saying a word took my plate back. It was promptly replaced but the order I received was still wrong bc there were no veggies. I didn't complain again though. The food was underwhelming, nothing special or flavorful about it. Portion size and price were the only positives. Definitely will not be returning.

This spot is across from my house. Never been but I am happy I decided to try them out. They are still following covid restrictions...that's a plus! The menu is huge and can be overwhelming. The salsa is flavorful...so good. I had the chorizo pollo plate and it was absolutely delicious! Service was fast and our waiter was cool. Prices are very reasonable and you get lots of food!

I can only review the taco salad since I've been twice, and both times ordered the taco salad. They give you a lot of meat! I LOVE it and will probably get it again. The taco is better than any Mexican restaurant I've been to

The black was the burnt outside of my Quesadilla

I go there at least twice a week with family and my employees. Food is usually pretty good. But the last time I was there the waitress said there was a new cook was why my Quesadilla was burnt and my husband's steak burritos had bloody meat. Still we got charged and no offer to make another one. Never saw the waitress after the check was left and no one was at the front register to ask for a manager.

The food here is always fresh and ready to go at the time I'm quoted. If they say "10 minutes" then your food is ready to go in 10 minutes!

I'm…read morepretty picky when it comes to Mexican food because I've been spoiled with very authentic offerings in other states and across Mexico and usually find super American Tex Mex underwhelming. I love this spots because it caters to both the authentic and American Tex Mex pallet through its offerings. The only downside is that there is not an authentic house made mole dish which I am a sucker for! My go to dish is the Enchiladas Americanas with shredded chicken....I know I know, I just said I prefer authentic but who doesn't love a little American queso cheese sauce on their dish??? What enhances the dish is the green and red salsa that both have amazing flavors and you can tell they are made from scratch in house. The red is my go to because the flavor is very homey and comforting but when I want a bit of a kick I get green! The service is always great and welcoming. I've also had a Valentine's cocktail here which was very good (they have standard and seasonal beverage offerings)! Highly recommend checking out if you are in the area!

I've had this place bookmarked for a while...sadly the bookmark is getting removed…read more The good: We were quickly seated and had our choice between a booth or table. We luckily beat the Sunday after church rush too because there was a bit of a wait 30 minutes after we came. For my entree I ordered the lunch special pastor burrito. The burrito was a nice size for lunch. The green sauce had a nice flavor and a bit of heat that the sour cream helped to calm. The pork was marinated very well, was plentiful, and the mandatory pastor pineapple was a nice touch as always. The bad: Salsa, chips, and Mexican rice were bland. The guac on my husband's plate was missing a hint of lime and salt The ugly: Service.....Actually what service?!? The waitress never came back after taking our order. Also, when ordering, I accidentally dropped my straw right by the waitress's feet. I am very visibly pregnant, so bending over to grab anything on the floor is a challenging workout. Instead of offering me another or picking it up for me (it was still wrapped), she just stared at it. I braced myself on the table to pick it up and almost flipped the table (water spilled and items went sliding). Instead of looking in shock, offering to help clean up the water or even laugh, she gave me the Gen Z stare..... this should have been our warning sign for the non existent service that was to come. My main lunch entree was 4 stars (sadly can't say the same for the sides or my husband's), but the service... I honestly should subtract more than 1 star but feeling more generous than they were with their service ;)

Bad service and mediocre food are always a bad combo…read more Let's start with the chips and salsa. I always appreciate free chips and salsa, however they could've kept these. The salsa had no flavor to speak of. Felt like I was wasting a body motion dipping these because they tasted like plain chips with or without a dip. For my meal, I went with the texanas fajitas with included steak, chicken, and shrimp. Same thing applied from the chips and salsa... no flavor or seasoning. Tasted like they were literally just thrown on to cook with no prep of seasoning. Portion was not best bang for the buck. The price was the same as other places, however, at those other places, I always have leftovers to take home. I didn't have any when leaving here. Service was atrocious. Bad service will make me never come to your establishment again. It seriously irks me. After being seated our first waitress came and didn't say hello or give any greeting. Got straight into asking did we know what we wanted... rude. Once we got our food, we never spoke to her again. She was still there, but never came to check on us one time after that. I seen her, guess she thought her job was done with us. As I was eating my very greasy filled fajitas I got thirsty. I had a drink already, but she never came back to see if I needed a refill. Then later a gentleman (original waitress was still around) came to our table asking did we need anything, I asked for a refill of my drink. I even said please! He said ok, but I wasn't confident I'd get that drink. I told my wife I bet he'll forget my drink... he did. In fact, he eventually came to our table (with no drink) to clear her plates. I was still eating trying to get the greased up fajitas down my throat. I gave him a look, then looked at my cup to see if he got the hint. He looked at me, and it was as if we've never had an interaction in life before. I was done after that. When I checked out to pay there was no line on the receipt for me to add a tip. I don't know if that's standard here, but I want to say that was God and me being on the same page because I definitely wasn't leaving one. Only reason I came here was because my go to Mexican restaurant in the area was closed (well deserved) for the long holiday weekend. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else. Most other places around are on par price wise, better tasting food, and way better service. I promise their server will say hi to you, unlike here.
