I went on a trip with my alumni and we stopped here for breakfast. This place has an abundance of food! The price per person(adult) is $16 and that includes everything. All you can eat/drink. They have literally any and everything you can think of. Some of the food seemed fresher than others but I could tell what the most popular dishes were. Very disappointed with what was once a great place to grab a meal. Very few staff members available to help, to answer questions or to provide any kind of service, such as grab used plates or find out whether a favorite dish would be refilled. The great meal entrees were gone quickly and not refilled the whole time we were there, so it may as well not have been 'on the menu'. Same for steak and even fresh rolls. Hey its my first Buffet since Covid hit. I have a horrible dislike for buffets for horrible service and unclean areas. This place is amazing. The food yes is pan based fare but is as good as you would want from the other resturant that are made to order. But the staff was the best service I have encountered. I haven't been there in over a year but I decided to stop in at this location because it seemed to be fairly busy at lunch time. Well the first thing I noticed was that literally every plate had chunks of food left on it from their dishwasher! I had to sift through the pile of dishes just to find one that had one clean side. The food itself didn't taste too bad, and it did seem fairly fresh, but it gave me major digestive issues later on in the day! The variety is nice. I used to love this place. But if you are active duty military or a US military Veteran, don't count on Golden Corral leadership to take that into consideration in any significant way. The customers around me were charged $14 (yes, I'm not deaf!) and I was charged $20! I asked about it and was told that it's because I ordered a lemonade. Seriously. They expect me to believe that after the $1.70 discount? LOL Clearly they think that those of us who served are too stupid to recognize a scam when we see one. And because every one of their ice machines was out, I was told that a server would bring the drink, which she did halfway through the meal. No judgment on the staff. They were all kind and professional, doing the best they can within a broken system. They know that they are stuck with corporate policies that are, quite frankly, offensive. The bottom line is simple: If you happen to be active duty or a Veteran, there are businesses in the area that actually do value your service. We reserved a room for a large group of friends last week. The staff did an excellent job making arrangements for our group and taking care of our needs. The food was excellent. I was especially impressed with the vegetables which were cooked just right; the shrimp and ham were also very good. My husband said his steak was cooked well and was a good cut of meat. My kids love coming to Golden Corral. My oldest loves getting all you can eat steak and baked potatoes. She is 11 lol. It's hard to get my 7 year old to eat sometimes so coming here helps will all the different options and the promise to get ice cream, chocolate covered marshmallows and cotton candy. read more

Pitiful what happened to this place. I had placed an order yesterday online and came up here to pick up my order,but they were not open, I didn't worry cause I THOUGHT you didn't get billed until u picked up the food... WRONG!!!! They were closed. I always try to begin any review with something good. So I'll start by complimenting their quality toilet paper. Which is a good thing -- because you're going to need it after eating here. In 30+ years, this is quite possibly to poorest quality food at any GC I've encountered. Everyone was extremely nice & attentive. But unfortunately, the food simply is tasteless, or it all tastes alike. There was absolutely nothing special, or even good, that would ever bring me back to this location again. By comparison (and for credibility), the GC in Rocky Mount, NC is typically excellent! So, I hope this Burlington location can possibly up their game in the future. This used to be a weekly thing where I would take my dad to lunch at this location on Wednesday and vice versa. The waitresses are friendly and never let drinks go empty. However this one star review isn't due to the wait staff; but rather the poor management and kitchen staff. The kitchen/buffet staff will straight lie to you or ignore you. And the management is horrible when you go to them with a concern. Now, you may wonder why would someone even have a concern in the first place at a buffet. Well, this is the first Golden Corral that I had a big enough concern to even go around asking. The concern is the big attraction is the fried chicken at lunch. My father and I always eat white meat, but it seems the management has elected to so skimp on stocking chicken breast to cut cost and corners so they can report lower operating cost and more profits to corporate. There are days they literally only have cheap dark meat at both fried chicken locations at the buffet. Ask the kitchen staff, they ignore or just say no more chicken yet come back out with a fresh pan of legs and thighs. Ask management, they will claim they are waiting for the supply truck despite this being the excuse for 4 weeks straight. It's obvious they are cutting corners while still charging you full lunch price for a full buffet. I wish corporate would see this and step in. read more

Usually I turn away from Golden Corral because of my past experiences at another location. But because many restaurants were closed on July 4th, we decided to give it a try. The food was great. Everything was on point. We enjoyed the pork steak, clam chowder, and fried chicken! Also they have a chocolate fondue that was great! What was sad was that we noticed that tables around us were hardly tipping. A family of 4 left a dollar for our server, and another family of 4 simply got up and left , leaving nothing, while the server was not around. Tip the servers y'all, they work hard, at least one dollar per person. We left our servers a big tip because we didn't want her to work for nothing. Will be back soon! read more

She was unpleasant though she did fill our glasses and observe our table when she walked by. However, this evening while I was putting together a fruit dish, a kitchen worker (name tag said Mike). attempted to push me away and grab the spoon in my hand while I was getting some melon ans became very rude irate and abrasive. The management at this place was ON POINT! I normally do not like buffets and particularly not a fan of Golden Coralls but this particular location was EXCELLENT! Very fresh, clean and lots of variety! The turn over of the food was never delayed and for the amount of high traffic customers on a sunday afternoon the staff had it running at a perfect flow! Lot of choices on their buffet, lot of spicy options which I love and also can put together a salad that will compete with anywhere. Sometimes a little noisy but handles a lot of poeple.
