If you find that real GOOD after Christmas spot don't take it for granted! We decided to stop in at a local Mexican restaurant after dropping in on family. This place had great flavor on everything. The first thing we asked for wa queso dip to use with the chips and salsa that came to the table. They also brought us some very hot sauce and tomatillo sauce which blended well with the queso. We ordered shrimp fajitas and Chile relenos to share. Both were fantastic! We will definitely be back to try more from the menu if we can steer away from out new favs!

The salsa here is nice, with some heat.

We were in the area, so we decided to stop here for a quick lunch. This place serves up some pretty good Tex - Mex food, with a few traditional dishes thrown in - street style tacos, carnitas, molcajete, etc. There is nothing especially sexy or innovative about this restaurant, just solid food, good service, and reasonable prices. Alice's choice was the Chicken Enchiladas Verde with rice and beans, and I tried the Carnitas Dinner, also with rice and beans. We tried the salsa and chips as we waited, and the salsa is very good, with a nice heat buildup as your eat. The food was out in a short time, and it was mostly all good. The enchiladas were especially good because the chicken was very tender, very tasty, though the verde sauce was a bit on the lite side. The rice and beans were excellent, especially the rice. The Carnitas were ok, but nowhere near the very best around. The pork was cut in rather small chunks, and were a bit over cooked, a bit dry, and there was no outside crust as is traditional with this dish. The enchiladas were enough to bring us back when we're in the area - and I'll try their molcajete.

Its really 2.5 stars. I rounded up. For starters the service was attentive and friendly and the restaurant was clean. A lot of bright colors and over the top but fun murals. Its a small space so on the cozy side. As far as the food it was all kind of bland and a lot of the items were barely warm. It wasn't just my plate either. Most of the things on my wife's plate were barely warm too. In an empty restaurant that isn't acceptable. I ordered the Cheese Chile Relleno,Chicken Enchilada and rice. The enchilada was good. Pretty standard. A very simple sauce. The rice was on the boring side but was the hottest thing on my plate (just barely warm). The chile relleno was almost the highlight, but it was room temperature. The cheese was still very firm though it was battered and fried almost perfectly. That is the only reason I'm going to go back. I'm going to get the chile relleno one more time. If they get it right the second time I'll update my review. All and all there are better options out there but its still worth checking out.

Fantastic spot for authentic Mexican food. The tacos are awesome, the al pastor and carnitas were both great. I aslo had the choripollo which was outstanding. The chicken breast was grilled perfectly topped with a good amount of chorizo and melted cheese. The choripollo came with rice & beans which both had great flavor on their own, a stack of pipin' hot tortillas and a little salad of lettuce, pico de gallo, guacamole and sour cream. I'll definitely be stoppin' back by when in town.

It's time for me to get my Book Out Of all the best food that I've Took Out If you're in the Deep South Put 1 thing in your mouth Cajun Chicken and Shakes fresh from Cook Out! Not to be confused with Coked Out, which is what your one friend in Los Angeles is. This is the other Cook Out location that I stopped for a chicken sandwich on the same night as the one in Durham, because I needed extra chicken for the gym. They had a super super cute girl covered in tattoos, very extraordinarily pretty, and she made it a five star visit. So she was hitting on me and took pictures of me (on my phone) even though it was raining right outside of her drive-thru window. The chicken sandwich was excellent (cajun chicken grilled, extra cajun) and I love how late they're open and it's close to the highway - so I couldn't really like this place any more than I do. Remember to always Rock Out with your Cook Out when you're in Carolina, Tennessee, Georgia, Virginia, and such. Not sure where Such is, but I think they have them there. The Backyard Burger and Banana Shake and Sweet Tea are all amazing too. I'd rather Cook In than Cook Out. Actually that's a lie. And I: Needed to borrow reading material. Should have gone to Book Out. Needed help robbing a bank. Should have gone to Look Out. Needed help winning a chess game. Should have gone to Rook Out.

When: Friday at 1 PM, dined in Overall: 4.8/5 - I know it's Popeyes, but this was genuinely one of the best experiences I've had at one. Great food, super clean, and the nicest staff ever. Food: 4.9/5 - I got the two-piece signature fried chicken with a biscuit and mashed potatoes with gravy. Popeyes chicken always slaps. But this chicken slapped even harder. Fresh out the mf fryer. The biscuit was actually one of the best Popeyes biscuits I've had. It was super fresh and buttery and didn't taste like it had been sitting under a heat lamp. Mashed potatoes and gravy are always a safe bet and they hit the spot. Everything was hot and just really well made. Service: 4.8/5 - 4.8 out of 5 is probably pretty high for a Popeyes, but this team earned it. Every single worker--from the cashier to the line cooks--was so sweet to each other and to the customers. They were saying things like "thank you sweetie," "yes sir," "yes ma'am," and genuinely looked happy to be there. They were helping everyone with questions and requests with a smile. I was honestly shocked because let's be real, that's not the usual vibe at most Popeyes. Usually you hear yelling or get ignored, but this crew was on it and clearly cared. I was really surprised to just see them being friendly to each other too and actually speaking to other staff like they were good friends. Vibe: 4.0/5 - It's still a fast food spot, so nothing fancy, but the inside was clean. There was a guy going around wiping down all the tables and keeping everything in tip-top shape. It felt comfortable and well taken care of. Other: Free parking available outside. Easy to access and plenty of space
