Ordered medium rare got medium well- at that price it should be perfect but didn't send it back--I didn't want to wait any longer. Had already waited too long for meal. But then the sides didn't come until we were almost done eating the entree. Was going to send those back but they looked good. But then we had no utensils to serve them. Couldn't get a waiter to look our way. Used our individual silverware to serve the sides. Luckily this was family otherwise forget it. But as soon as I finished the entree a waiter was there to pick up the plate. So I didn't get to finish the sides. They then cleared the half eaten sides off too. Not relaxing. Not enjoyable. Could almost go to 2 stars but with a little better attention to detail make it to 4. It will never be 5 because they just don't care enough. read more

We have been several times and yes, expensive but excellent food. My only feedback is that the waiter tried to read the table and see that not all customers want the same level of engagement. Apps- Wagyu spring roll & Caesar salad. Both were excellent and they split the salad on two plates which was nice. Drinks- gave us free champagne as we were celebrating engagement. Champagne was great. Fiancé got some Smokey drink we he also very much enjoyed. Main courses- bone in filet special with scallops wrapped in bacon and a peri peri sauce. One scallop wasn't cooked all the way through but they tasted great. Filet with sides of Mac & cheese and onion rings. The onion rings were great. Mac and cheese has nice crispy layer of cheese on top and very creamy but could use a little more seasoning. The biggest let down of the whole meal were both steaks. They were good, but not amazing or worth the price. You can find better steaks elsewhere. Also, I love chimichurri and was excited to see it as one of the sauce options, but it was not good, it was way too oily and all I could taste was the oil. Ended up not using it after a couple bites. Dessert: banana cream cheesecake was out of this world, I would go back just for that! Must try. Service: service was excellent! From start to finish. Waters always filled, plates cleared, didn't feel rushed at all. Server was always nearby if we needed something. Ambiance: beautiful inside with an open concept, would love to sit outside next time! We visited La Fina for the first time recently as we were given a gift certificate for Christmas. All in all we had a very positive experience. The food is the main star, as it should be. Both our meals from start to finish were absolutely great. I had their lobster bisque to start followed by the 10oz filet mignon with au poivre sauce and a baked potato side. Everything was top notch. The filet was one of the best I have had in many many many many years. It was both tender and flavorful. The sauce, one of a handful offered, was a perfect compliment. The baked potato, with butter, sour cream, bacon lardons, and chives was a great side. My wife went with their wedge salad followed by this prime beef burger and truffle fries. She loved everything. We were both extremely pleased with the quality from start to finish. The food by itself is easily worth 5 stars. But be forewarned that it is a bit on the pricy side, and ambiance wise it was a bit noisy inside with piped in music and tables being on top of each other. You can easily pick up on your neighbors conversation and they yours. Service was overall very good, although we were never checked on after being served the entrees to make sure everything was cooked to our liking, which it was. Andover chic foody restaurant that is a must go to and will become a favorite repeat place to go for dining with friends and special occasions. This upbeat place is packed with energy, great food and drinks. Extensive wine list and quality cocktails. We had a variety - manhattans, cosmos, and espresso martinis. Wine by the glass had top notch options as well as an extensive bottle list. From the raw bar we had oysters and cocktail shrimp. The oysters were cold and fresh. The shrimp cocktail was by far the biggest shrimp I have ever seen. Tip from our waiter Joseph was to use fresh lime juice with the habanero sauce for the oysters which really brought out the flavor. We appreciated the service Joseph provided as our waiter he was funny and provided suggestions throughout to be sure we had the best possible dining experience. A mark of a great restaurant is shown in the service provided and the service was high caliber. Salads offered were a great variety. All fresh and delicious ingredients. The steaks are the star of the show. Cooked in a 1400 degree oven the outside had a nice char while the inside was cooked to perfection. There were plenty of sides to choose from and big enough to share. Special of the evening was a prime rib which was top notch. The only regret of the evening was that we filled up on so much food we didn't have a chance to sample the in house made desserts. Had a last minute dinner on a Monday evening at this upscale Andover gem. Wonderful wine selection. We started with oysters, casesar salad (size of dinner salad, very gold), had 8oz filet - perfectly cooked and seasoned, asparagus. We over ordered with both loaded baked potato and their decadent sweet potato. The sides are for 2-3. Wine pours are generous. Staff was very professional and helpful. My boyfriend and I decided that tonight (Friday) was a good night to have a date night as we haven't been out to a good dinner in a while. To celebrate our new jobs, we decided to take a trip to the expensive, but worth the price, La Fina. But to our surprise, our dinner was ruined by the actions of the manager(he said his name was Anthony upon arrival). We witnessed him grab one of the other employees that seemed to be underage (well, not underaged, but he was mid 40's and she seemed to be a college student) he grabbed her around the waist and whispered something in her ear that seemed to make her uncomfortable. He held her around the waist and got very close to her and when the two separated the waitress rolled her eyes and made a face in his direction. Although the atmosphere was ultimately ruined by the creepy manager, I did enjoy my meal. Between my boyfriend and I, we split the New York strip, cooked to perfection, cream spinach and lobster Mac and cheese, YUMMY! Overall the experience was good but not great. I enjoyed the company of our waitress, and the food was great, but I keep thinking about the interaction between the manager and the hostess. If I was to describe the interaction I have 1 word, DISGRACEFUL. It is the most memorable thing from my dining experience and for a meal of that price, I hoped to be wowed. I am giving a 2 star review because I enjoyed my food, and service, but when thinking about the meal, I can only recall that 1 interaction. My favorite restaurant. I come here every chance I get, all seasons, brunch or dinner. Never had a meal or drink here that wasn't stellar. I have not yet been to their Lounge next door but I'm sure it's absolutely fabulous. I bring everyone I can here especially if they haven't yet been here. The decor and open air space makes me feel like I'm in an upscale restaurant in Miami, it's all very refreshing. Onto the food: portions here are very sizable! I'm always stuffed when I leave, easily can make two meals from their entrees. Probably the best swordfish steak I've ever had as well. Brunch is up next: brunch is mostly about the drinks, let's be real lol. But in all seriousness the mimosas and Bellinis here are on point, and they have a good variety of both breakfast and lunch type options to choose from. Love the waitstaff here! This was a dinner that were earned. We do not usually eat at places like La Fina because we usually have 3-4 grown kids with us and they have appetites. So this night my husband and I went alone it it surpassed all expectations. Joe was our server and I couldn't love him any more. I chose the rib eye and added the lobster tail. Literally it was perfect. My husband had the filet and loved every bite of it. We ended with the cheesecake. The same pastry chef supports Larosa and we are absolute fans of their work. This cheesecake was amazing. Still thinking about it as I type this review may need to run in to grab one. Hands down one of the best meals I've had!!! The steak was cooked perfectly and the miso honey butter on top of the steak was amazing. We also had the lobster Mac and cheese and the home made gnocchi with a truffle cream sauce. Service was top notch!! Our server Lea was on her game and very helpful when it came to questions with the menu. My family likes to joke around a lot and she played along just fine......great personality! Now for all the comments about the price.....it's a high end steak house what were you expecting. Prices are comparable to all the other high end steaks house (capital grille and Morton's) but i feel the food was better here. From my viewpoint it also was very over priced. The noise was the worst part. I want dinner to be relaxing. Food was very good but certainly didn't seem that spectacular. Fried calamari very good but overwhelmed by a sweet white sauce. Ceaser salad good but could they please cut up the lettuce? I know they want me to see the beautiful lettuce they used but I would prefer not to have to use a knife to eat my salad. The bone in rib steak was excellent, done medium rare as requested with a nice crust. Sides were generous enough for two. Service was OK. Lots of people to take care of you. I'm so disappointed, the ambiance and decor here is gorgeous, but the food here is definitely not worth the price. Wagyu spring rolls were EXTREMELY salty I couldn't eat more than half, the fried oysters were still liquidy on the inside, definitely undercooked, not good. The lobster that coats $89 was basically 2 very overcooked tails, frankly the steamed lobsters from market basket are better. The best part of the meal was the free bread, and the service because my waiter was AMAZING!!!! Sadly I don't think I'll be back, the food isn't worth it anything close to the $300 I spent on it. Went for brunch today. First let me say that our waitress was great. We ordered a couple of drinks and Tuna Tartare for an appetizer, very good. Unfortunately it went downhill from there. We both ordered Quiche Oscar for our meals. Both came out burnt. Waitress came over and we sent them back. Next order of the same came out burnt. We called the waitress back and she told us that the chef who makes them called in sick and that the chef who came in to make them never made them before. At that point you would think the chef wouldn't send them out and the manager would come over. Nothing! I asked the waitress for the check to pay for the drinks and appetizer and we went to Burtons for brunch. Perfect meal. Manager came to our table to ask how everything was and the waiter was great also. Might go back to La Fina for dinner but brunch going forward is a no-go. read more

I'm glad there were only 6 coats because otherwise the coat check would have been too overwhelmed to return our jackets.
