    Ceviche

Best meal in Puerto Vallarta for us. Food: Very flavorful. We started with the ceviche, which was red snapper with passionfruit and lime dressing and guacamole- like dollops around. All the flavors blended together beautifully. It also had something else I couldn't quite place but was delicious. Seared tuna main was my partner's and he loved it. He compared it to steak and the veggies added a ton of flavor. only thing that was lacking was the potato balls, needed to use the other things on the plate to make it flavor. Diabla shrimp: my dish and I loved all the flavor, the garlic sauce on the shrimp could have been a little lighter but it was very tasty. The veggies were delicious and flavorful. Dessert: ice cream was great! Service: they are very attentive but it does take a while. We waited over 15 minutes for the ice cream which was surprising since it wasn't a desert that needs prepared. Ambiance: great ambiance! I loved the art work and the baskets on the ceiling with lights. It feels like a little neighborhood restaurant, only filled with tourists and not local neighbors that part was a little hard to stomach. Otherwise great experience! Make reservations via WhatsApp. We tried to show up on a Wednesday and got turned away but were easily able to make reservations for the next day.

A little away from the DT and Zona Romantica, but well worth it. The food was delicious!! I highly recommend the plantain dish. The drinks are flavorful and desserts are great.

My boyfriend and I went here while we were on vacation, and La Fina did not disappoint. Every dish we had was delicious! I could not stop talking about the food the entire trip. The cocktails were also stellar. It's the ambiance you want when you're in Mexico! I highly recommend making a reservation via WhatsApp just to ensure you can get in because it isn't a huge restaurant.

    Poblano stuffed chili

Everything was incredible. The ceviche was amazing with layers of flavor. The tequila shrimp was so flavorful with great vegetables in the risotto. The poblano stuffed chili was great as well. Legitimately a top tier restaurant and would do very well in places like LA or NYC. Make a reservation. A 20 minute walk from the romantic zone but it's totally safe walking through the bars and neighborhood.

Best dish ever, plantain tamale with braised pork!

La Fina is a charming little restaurant in a less often visited neighborhood of the Romantica zone. It's in an older neighborhood, and is a house and covered patio beautifully converted into a restaurant with seating in the front patio area. Between the strung up lights, the festive painting and details to local artwork, this spot makes for a gorgeous little date night venue. Restaurant opens at 7, use their WhatsApp to make reservations, especially if high season. We showed up right at opening and were quickly surrounded by a pretty full restaurant very quickly! Our sever was wonderful, and very informative on both the drink and food menu. We ordered two drinks, one mule type, and the other a spicy citrus, both were delicious, and well made! We ordered the plantain tamale stuffed with braised pork and it was absolutely incredible, it looked big but the outside was crisp light and sweet, the inside pork savory and juicy, it was gone very quickly between the two of us. We also got the octopus main dish that was new on the menu, the octopus was perfectly cooked, and the fondant potatoes delicious as well. We wanted to order more, but the portions there are large, we were pretty full. We did get the chocolate peanut brownie, and it was tasty but overall was very sweet! This is a terrific restaurant that is sure to be full most nights, great food, drinks and service, everyone was enjoying their time there, and it was a really fun experience, can't wait to come back and try more!

Started it off with a lamb quesadilla and some kind of a brown sauce. That was incredible. I've never had lamb before and I will never hesitate again. Then we had the beef medallions and the shrimp Diablo. Both were incredible. Presentation was unbelievable. There are a bunch of good restaurants in the Puerto Vallarta area, but this is my new favorite.

Wow the food was incredible! Pork belly taco and duck flautas. Good portion sizes too! Nice ambiance but it is outside so it is hot. But we will definitely be returning!

While the wait can be a bit unpredictable, it's usually not too long, especially during the summer. However, if you visit in the winter, it can take a while. The food here is reasonably priced and the portions are generous. The only thing that confuses me is the fruit water of the day. The cups are incredibly small, and for 30 pesos, I expected more. I've noticed that some tables have their water refilled, while others have been changed. I'm not sure if this is a policy or just a coincidence. The service is okay, but nothing extraordinary. They have a limited number of tables and don't have air conditioning, so it can get quite hot inside and outside. However, you're here to eat and go, so don't expect a sit-down experience. One important thing to note is that they only accept cash. So, make sure to bring some pesos with you.

It's thicker, more cheesy than what I've ever had before and very delicious. We paired that with the prime rib tacos, it was a plate stacked with meat and 4 tortillas under it, more than we could eat. The seasoning was great, it was diced so small that it was easy to eat. I got a virgin strawberry margarita, the wife got a coke. It was very affordable.

The ribeye had so much fat that we had to pick through it just to eat it. The al pastor was very average - I've had much better at plenty of other taco spots. The biggest disappointment was the chorizo. It wasn't traditional chorizo at all; it looked and tasted more like chopped-up hot dogs. We barely touched it because it wasn't what we ordered expecting, and it just wasn't good. The presentation also wasn't appealing. The meat was simply piled on top of two tortillas, making everything messy and difficult to eat. They were also pretty stingy with the grilled jalapeños. The salsas didn't do the food any favors either. None of them really stood out, and the green guacamole salsa actually tasted like it had gone bad, so we stopped eating it. Service was attentive, but almost too attentive. Staff kept coming by every few minutes to ask if we were finished or if we needed anything. While I appreciate good service, it made us feel like we were being rushed through our meal instead of being able to enjoy it at our own pace. Overall, I don't understand the high ratings based on our experience. With so many amazing taco spots in Puerto Vallarta, this one didn't come close to meeting the hype. Unfortunately, we won't be coming back.
