We had a great experience here... affordable and tasty tacos, drinks, and well ventilated with fans everywhere. When we came in there was a live mariachi band serenading the guests as well, added to the whole vibe

AMAZING! So good we went back twice!! We attempted to go to another spot that we'd heard about but it was closed that day so our taxi driver took us here and said it was better than the original place we were aiming for. The food was so so so so good! The staff was great and spoke English well enough to get your request. The restaurant wall decor is so charming with art and plants hanging from the ceiling. It's also well ventilated so we weren't too hot. Pricing was the awesome - 6 ppl with food and drinks under $100 USD and the quality was 10/10. We will absolutely go back!

The tacos looked good, but I was not impressed. Perhaps we got there too soon, because the meat was not ready. The hostess said they could grill them on the stove. So I ordered the tacos al pastor. Nope. Not the same. They tasted undercooked. I was disappointed.

We stopped by Sonorita after getting a recommendation from a couple of locals, and it did not disappoint. The place is set in a cool loft-style building with interesting decor and plenty of seating, with a good mix of locals and tourists. Service was quick and no fuss. We ordered chips and salsa to start, then the al pastor and chorizo tacos. The salsas were great and the al pastor were really good- well seasoned, generous meat, and cooked well. The chorizo tacos were decent but came with sliced sausage rather than crumbled chorizo, which wasn't expected and took away from the flavor a bit. Still a solid meal and worth a visit.

Machaca for breakfast. It was sooo good!

Still just as good! We went for an early dinner at 6:30 and got seated right away. By the time we left there was a line to get in. They also had live music . I got the prime rib Hurache again and it was just as good. I got 3 meals out of it.

If I could give this place 6 stars I would!! Let's just say I visited PV for 5 days and stopped by twice. I love my Al Pastor tacos and made my way here to escape the all-inclusive taco disappointment on my resort. Sonorita easy to get to in the Zona Romantica district and no wait to be seated. Greeted with fresh salsa and all the onions and cilantro you could want, I ordered 3 tacos and a margarita. Quick service, delicious tacos and amazing margaritas at a great price. If you have the time while in town, definitely add this place to your list. I'm already planning my next visit back and Sonorita may be the first stop!!! Also, bring your pesos because they are cash only!

This visit I tried the alambre pastor. So flavorful with the peppers and onions-and so much food! Of course it wouldn't be complete with out fresh guac and a watermelon margarita- the best flavor in town so far.

Best restaurant in Zona Romantica! So good we ate here 3 nights in a row. The Al Pastor meat was absolutely perfect. Charred and flavorful. The Passionfruit margarita was the best I've ever had. Tasted so fresh and tangy. The Agua Frescas were also refreshing and not too sweet. Service was lovely and wait staff was so attentive. Also just love the vibe... casual and lively with good lighting :) Skip that ridiculous line at Panchos and give this place a try!

Stopped in for tacos. Great service, pretty atmosphere and love their decor. Tacos and drinks are reasonably priced. Lots of fans so it does get warm during the summer time here.

The reviews are so spot on. The Tacos Al pastor are hands down the best. Perfectly shaved with just the right amount of pineapple dressed with cilantro and onions -- with just a squeeze of lime these don't need anything else. We also tried the costilla tacos and also amazing with a side of grilled onions. The aracherra tacos were good but overshadowed by pastor. We also ordered the melted cheese fondue with chorizo just delicious. The line wasn't bad and the service excellent. Definitely going back

Delicious and worth the wait! The Al pastor is phenomenal and service is solid. Great option in PV

This is a local family owned taco restaurant. They are open from 8am until 12 midnight. They only serve tacos. Their best taco is al pastor. The service was great. The ambiance is great.

Make sure you check your receipt and verify you received the right bill and nothing was "accidentally" added. Seems to happen often in PV with lots of tourists. Food was great, simple, and fairly quick. Lots of tourists come here so prices are slightly above average. Chips and salsas were great! Open environment with a fair number of tables - may have trouble finding a table for 8+ if it's busy but groups of 4 or less are easy.

Chips and three salsas come gratis. The pineapple habanero was a little hot for my tastebuds, but it had good flavor. The chipotle salsa was appropriately smoky and might've been my favorite. The green was more mild and fresh and also very good. I ordered three tacos: grilled shrimp, grilled fish, and the hibiscus flower and panela cheese. The waitress let me try a piece of the cheese before ordering since I'd never had panela before which I appreciated. That taco was probably my least favorite of the three- texture, not taste, but I like to try new things, so I'm glad I got it. There was a toppings bar for taco add-ons: limes, cucumbers, cabbage, onions, and cilantro. Nice to be able to customize. Very reasonable cost, good flavor, good service, good atmosphere.

Had to walk for a while to find a working ATM. Started with the guacamole which was good (although we'd had way better in the afternoon from a little cafe near our hotel). Three salsas came with the chips and were ok. The yellow pineapple one sneaks up on you and is very spicy. Ordered two tacos. Wasn't really wowed. Margarita ok. They have outdoor seating, so it's fun to people watch. Service was unmemorable.

The first visit was fine so we went a second time. On our second visit, my husband asked about the pizzas and was told they weren't available. The courtyard in back does seem to have a new pizza oven installed but the wood sat beneath it unused. It wasn't working on our first visit either but we didn't ask about the pizza. If you are not going to fire up the pizza oven, at least advertise you do on Friday, Saturday and Sundays or whenever it is you do operate it. We seemed to be the first to arrive on our second visit. The guy who seated us changed the music to a rap genre he must have assumed we would enjoy more. We did not mind. As other dinners joined us we looked around to see their reactions to the songs and their naughty words. As we had hoped, two elderly ladies were seated and three songs into their visit Cardi B also arrived to sing "WAP". We were not certain if they were listening to each songs lyrics but they did sway back and forth in their chairs in tempo to the beat. That was fun. I wanted the chicken fajitas and the waitress returned to indicate they had no chicken. I was not sure if this was some Mexican version of the U.S. version of dealing with shortages in baby formula. I glanced toward the pizza oven and switched my fajita order to flank steak. They must have been sorry about the missing chicken and gave me a serving that would feed two. I asked for three extra tortillas and had the remainder boxed up as I wanted to pass it along to a hungry homeless person. Mission accomplished.

However, as me and my friends (it was 4 of us) were leaving the restaurant, our waiter chased us down claiming we did not tip enough. Here's a note from my friend detailing more of what happened: "It was 150 pesos which is a little more than 10% of the total. In Mexico, 10% is completely customary, especially for tourist. Locals will give even less and typically leave only about 50 pesos. I don't know if he was expecting for us to give him more just because we're used to giving 15 or even 20% at a time but I always do at least 10. If it's one of the really nice restaurants where they take care of absolutely everything then I do get more than that but this was just a normal place And I did fold the bills because I clipped it into the checkbook, so there is a chance he thought it was just 50. But to flip out and say it's not enough that he deserves more or just to take it away is crazy in my opinion." We may return, but this really turned a perfect visit into a not so great one in the end. The 3/5 is for food and service, would've been 5/5 had we not been stopped as we were leaving for not "tipping enough".
