Visited La Finca at the South Shore farmers market and it was such a pleasant visit! They had a bunch of fun coffee flavors. Tres Leches was delicious and I would get it again! The baristas were radiating happiness and made the visit all the better.
Found about this locally owned coffee house after reading a recent story in a Milwaukee magazine. The idea of sourcing beans from their grandfathers farm in Oaxaca really spoke to me. I have to say I found my coffee absolutely delicious. I tried the Coquito Latte (coconut). It had plenty of flavor without being overly sweet, which I appreciated. Positioned a short walk from the lake, you can see Lake Michigan from their spacious patio with plenty of seating. The service was also friendly and the drinks came quick on the busy Saturday I was there.
First time here. It's a nice spot in St. Francis. There is a good-sized parking lot out front. It has the look of a small home. When you enter through the front door, it's just a short walk to the counter to order. There are café tables outside, and a bunch of other tables inside for different-sized groups. They have an extensive menu of hot/cold beverages, both teas and coffee. If you are hungry, they offer pastries, breakfast sandwiches, and Mexican tacos, quesadillas, etc. Came on a Saturday, late morning. There was a short line of cars that were ordering at the window. The place was already crowded, and there was also a line for the counter. Grabbed a menu while I was in line. It was a bit loud inside, and getting louder as more people showed up. It was a bit of a wait until I arrived at the counter. They offered some interesting variations on the standard coffee/tea offerings. I decided to try the Neblina Tea Latte. To me, it's a Mexican version of a London Fog Tea Latte, but they use chamomile instead of Earl Grey, and horchata instead of milk. They had some really good-looking pastries, and the server recommended the Conchas Twist, filled with strawberry. Waited a little while to get my order. Because of the noise level inside, we decided to grab a table outside. That might have been a mistake because there were plenty of hornets flying around, trying to get into the drinks and the sweets. But we decided that it would still be better than dealing with the noise inside. Both the Neblina and the Conchas were good choices. The Neblina was hot, well-steeped, and had a nice bit of cinnamon on top. The Conchas was fresh, nicely sugared, and the strawberry filling was a nice treat. Lots to like about this place. However, the issues with the noise inside and the hornets outside would give me pause in coming back.
This morning was the first time I'd visited La Finca at their brick and mortar location (I normally grab a beverage from them at the South Shore Farmer's Market), and my experience started off pretty pleasant. The baristas were super friendly, the service was quick. I went with an iced decaf Horchata Latte, which was sensational. Rich, complex flavor with a smooth finish, all without being too sugary sweet. Highly recommend it. I found a nice table with outlets nearby to get some work done, and was getting started when a staff member decided to open all the doors. Not sure why they did this considering today has been cloudy, windy, and only 40 degrees out. But it made the coffee shop so cold and uncomfortable that I was shivering -- and I was wearing jeans a sweater! Which isn't inappropriate for an indoor setting in mid-May! I looked for another table, but every other seat was in the path of the cold air from the open doors. I didn't last 15 minutes before I had to pack up and leave. It really put a damper on the whole experience. Nonetheless, I'll probably try La Finca's brick and mortar location again in the future. After all, that latte was really, really good.

Very nice coffee shop & great place to catch up with people. I think the interior is big but actual seats are limited for how many food options are available. Only one or two tables in whole place that sit 5+ people. So great for every day but weekend mornings. The coffee was good but the breakfast sandwiches were okay at best. For $10 you really just get two over hard egg, a scoop of black beans, rice on a large sandwich. The Chorizo Tacos & Chorizo Burrito looked great. People also try to put one jacket down to reserve a table so a little annoying the staff doesn't try to make it obvious that you can't just put a water bottle down to save the large table despite you waiting for the other 5 people. Plus you have multiple single person taking up the 4-tops on a Sunday morning.
10 out of 10! This coffee shop is a gem in St Francis. This coffee shop essentially has an authentic Mexican restaurant inside of it while retaining that intimate coffee shop vibe. Everyone working was friendly and fun... very fast service considering how busy they were. This is an order at the counter and listen for your name if getting a drink - food is assigned a number and they will bring it out if youre dining in. Everything worked very smooth. There's a water station for all your needs. We got there at 10am on a Sunday. It was busier than i thought it was going to be but we had no issue finding a place to sit. Shortly after the line was practically out the door! The Mexican mocha is my new coffee of choice. The torta de jamón was also excellent! The bread was just right and had that perfect crunch to it. Great drinks. Great food. Good for catching up...dates and work. Saw it all in the 2 hours we were there. Casual, fun and chill...or whatever you want it to be. Also has a drive through if you don't want to stop inside!
Is La Finca still a 5 star coffee house? Yes. They keep doing what they're doing and they do it well as is evidenced by the fact that they've definitely become busier over the years, which is great to see. I popped in recently for coquito latte which is a creamy coconutty dream with a lovely hint of nutmeg. It's a sweet indulgence and I enjoyed every sip. I love the quirky crockery they serve their coffee in. It makes the in-house coffee sipping experience all the more charming. For my breakfast, I got an egg and cheese croissant breakfast sandwich with avocado added. I love that they put their own flare on dishes so that even if you're having a basic breakfast sandwich, it's distinctly La Finca with it's slightly smoky spiciness of having chipotle aioli added to it. It comes with your choice of fruit or potatoes. I've done both and enjoyed both. The service is always absolutely lovely and the prices are reasonable. Get to it!
I love this environment. Also love the Latin touches. It's women / family owned (yasssss) they direct trade out of Oaxaca. The iced Mexican mocha: superb Chorizo breakfast tacos: divine Great amount of seating, they have a drive through, great WiFi. Cool place to chill or work.
such a cute coffee spot! this place has outdoor patio seating that's nicely maintained and plenty of indoor as well. loved their bulletin board that was filled and overflowing with all different kinds of opportunities, resources, and other info. i tried their matcha and was a bit disappointed as i usually am, not strong at all and really watery. i added lavender syrup and it didnt even help that much. i didnt get food but definitely want to try next time! cashier was super nice tho and was helpful. would definitely come back to try their coffee too, sourced from MX!!
La Finca Coffeehouse in Milwaukee, WI was the possibly our favorite coffee shop in Milwaukee! Both of us got the Tres Leches Latte iced and it was so good!!! Loved the sweet, creamy flavor. Also had a blast playing Where's Waldo while sipping. Cozy spot with both indoor and outdoor seating, eclectic vibe aesthetically. Service was friendly and quick!

If you haven't been to La Finca, you must!! All their drinks & food are so so good. They change up their menu seasonally which I love. The interior is so cute and they also have outdoor seating which is really nice when the weather permits. They have a drive through where you can pick up food/drinks if you call to order ahead! Never had a dish or drink I didn't like. read more

Is La Finca still a 5 star coffee house? Yes. They keep doing what they're doing and they do it well as is evidenced by the fact that they've definitely become busier over the years, which is great to see. Cutest little cafe - super busy on the weekend! It took awhile to receive my order but again, it was super busy. I love the interior decorations. Latte was 10/10, breakfast sandwich was a 6.8/10. I will be back! read more

- Good food, good ambiance, good service - Reservation not available, but there were plenty of available seats and people on a Saturday at noon - Would come back because the other food and drinks sounded good, and they have a fun rotating monthly menu This has been on my list for a bit, but me and my girlfriend got to go on the way to ikea. Very cute inside and the decor was nice to look at with the plants. There was also a small business selling things inside, so it was great to see them supporting them and giving them that opportunity. I had gotten the Chipotle Chicken Burrito w/ Chips and it was quite tasty. I almost never get burritos for breakfast, but this one was calling my name - and am I glad I answered! Initially, I thought it was kind of on the smaller side, but after eating the whole thing, I was quite stuffed and very satiated. It was nice and juicy inside the burrito, and the cheese was plenty melted. It all tasted great and well seasoned, but I was really happy with the pineapple inside which added a great texture and flavor to it. Upon request, you can get sour cream, jalapeños, and salsa, and upon addition, they really elevated the burrito! The salsa was the perfect addition, not adding too much to take away from the burrito, but also not being flavorless. The chips that came with the burrito added some good crunch and were nice to eat during and afterwards. My girlfriend had gotten the Spicy Avocado Toast w/ Bacon and hers was good, but I think some things could've been done a little differently. She was served a tall stack of avocado, egg, and cheese on a slice of whole wheat, and the bacon and drizzle on top added some salt and spice to help with the flavor. It was a nice piece with good flavors, but the part where it fell short was the *toast* aspect, as the bread did not seem toasted at all and the softness of it made it difficult and messy to cut. I'm sure the hard-boiled egg is easier prep, but I think a nice runny yolk would've been a nice touch, but overall, the toast itself seemed more like a cold meal, so the hard-boiled egg and softer bread went together. While we ate, we sipped on our drinks that we were most excited for. I love banana flavors, so seeing their rotating menu having the Miso Banana Atole drink was very exciting to see! It had delicious banana flavors, and the caramelization really added to it. There is some corn starch in it which adds some thickness to it and really makes it a nice and warm drink, almost like a hot chocolate consistency... would definitely order again! My girlfriend had gotten the Salted Agave Latte (Iced) and it is also on the rotating January menu. It had a nice sea salt flavor to it, and not as bitter/salty as some of the other sea salt drinks I have had. I am personally not a fan of salt drinks, but my girlfriend really enjoyed it. Everything was good and the menu still looked good... so we got more! I ordered the Fresas con Crema Latte (Iced) and it was good, but I had kind of false expectations (set up by me). I wanted something similar to the banan atole, but this was more of a coffee drink first, rather than a strawberry. The drink was still good and there was definitely strawberry flavor, I just had the mindset that it would be basically a strawberry milk. My girlfriend picked something lighter and had gotten their Lemonade. It was a nice tart drink and quite sweet, but not too sweet. This place was fun, tasty, and cute! I was very satisfied with our food and drinks, and cannot wait to come back! Something that I wanted to note is that next to the register, there is a "stair step" kind of shelf that I believe holds coffee and tumblers for sale. With my attention on the cashier, as I walked away and towards the seating, I tripped on the smallest cube of the shelf which I know is my fault, but I still feel the placement could be better... especially because 5 minutes later, someone else tripped the same way I did. I also wanted to note that only on the second order of drinks was I offered a punch card for drinks, so that would've been nice to have received on my first order. Sophie (9)- (5 Stars) Piña Coloda Smoothie; Peanut Butter Toast--She recommends the toast and smoothie! Josie 12 years old- 5 Stars- iced horchata; Strawberry churros --Good service and the iced horchata was delicious! The churro was rich but incredible! Katie- 4 Stars-Chai latte; breakfast burrito(swapped bites of taco with Marc)--The restaurant is cozy and bright. The chai had a nice spice to it and I liked the mugs. They are the type of mugs that fit nicely around your hands. The burrito was delicious. I liked the combination of flavors. The salsa was just ok to me. It didn't seem to have much taste, just heat. I really enjoy a nuanced flavor in my salsa and I think that would have amplified the tastes in the burrito and tacos. Marc- 4 stars-Gingerbread Cold foam cold Brew;Breakfast tacos--He shared burrito and tacos with Katie. The taco was solid but not a wow. If the salsa had been more flavorful, it might have helped. Very cute and quaint Mexican cafe. I love the variety of beverages (tea, espresso drinks, etc). They had an amazing horchata latte that was very flavorful and not too sweet. I also had the breakfast burrito with chorizo which was tasty, fresh and filling. Staff was knowledgeable and nice. Can not wait to return. read more

This amazing place has quickly become a regular favorite of mine! Their coffee drinks are inventive and DELICIOUS (the tres leches latte is my personal favorite, with a cinnamon stick in the cup). Their food is also super fresh and tasty - the veggie breakfast tacos are so delicious. I appreciate them being very COVID safe and wearing masks, and the drive thru is such an easy and convenient option. Definitely looking forward to many more trips to this adorable coffee shop! read more
I had a lovely time at this St. Francis coffee shop. It's right by Cudahy too. It even boasts a drive through, so it's easy to get coffee on your way to work or some place fun. If you have time to hang out I highly recommend it. It's warm and inviting. There is a wonderful patio outside. Very friendly folks work here. They make your time special. And they want to answer questions and help you find that perfect cup. I have never had a horchata latte so I had to try it. I'm not a sweet coffee drinker but this was a lovely surprise. It's well balanced and went down like an aperitif. My cortado was a little bitter and I understand that can happen when pulling shots all day. So much matters....from grind to humidity. I sipped my friend's coffee and that was delicious. Knowing that this Cafe supports their family farm makes me want to go as often as possible. You can read more on their website. I got to try out La Finca for the first time today and I was impressed! Their menu has comfortable favorites and a few unique options. The breakfast sandwich was straightforward, flavorful, & satisfying. Their collection of mugs were adorable and added to the charm of the place. I also loved that they had space to feature some local small businesses; you can tell they value family, connectedness & community. This is a business that deserves continued success! read more

Holy crap! I got the Horchata Latte, it was worth every penny. Very strong flavor but not overwhelmingly sweet. The Southwest Burrito was fantastic too, very heavy on red onion and lettuce which I love, but more than enough chicken to fill me up. Baristas and chefs were welcoming and patient, and there's all sorts of cool decor and seating in the cafe. Thank you! read more
