However, I cut it right down the middle to get that runny egg yolk and where want one ...? There wasn't an egg. It seemed like it rest a scoop of maybe farmers cheese or something like that. I didn't say anything because I thought I misread the description. I looked later and realized it should have had a poached egg. Ugh. I did miss that a lot. Main reason for taking off a star - dish not made correctly. The rest of it was very good. The potatoes delish are usual. My cousin had the herb omelette with ham, the potatoes and side of pancakes. My husband and I split a the salted caramel iced latte and our friends each ordered a Turkish coffee. The drinks were good, the pastries looked really good as well, and we received great service. They brought our drinks out to us and our cashier was helpful with any questions we had. We will be back again to try out more of their delicious drinks!

This flat white was absolutely AWFUL. I'm not sure what it was--if the coffee itself was over-roasted, or the milk went bad, or the machine (God forbid) was not clean--but the drink tasted burnt, bitter, highly acidic, and just "off," giving a weird unpleasant sourness at the back of my tongue. It's a good thing Collectivo serves flat whites in their smallest size, because if it had been any larger, I could not/would not have finished it. I'm by no means a coffee connoisseur, but I *am* a bit of a coffee snob. I love a good coffee. I love a well-made coffee. I know good coffee. I typically buy local freshly roasted beans, and make myself a coffee at least 1-2 a day at home. NONE of the coffee I've ever made at home--or that I've had out and about at any other shop--has tasted as bad as what I had at this particular Collectivo. I'm not saying they're all like that, I'm not even saying any other drink at this Collectivo is bad, but I anticipated--and expected--much better.
