    Pasta with shrimp
    Anthony V.

I came about a month ago. This place is very fancy so expect the food to be on the pricier side and smaller portions. Pretty authentic Italian food, I would strongly recommend ordering their pasta seafood dishes. I ordered some and they taste much better than ordering just fish/steak entrees which I found to be a little dry and under seasoned. The pasta dishes are just very well seasoned and fresh/homemade! The waiters are extremely accommodating and attentive. They're constantly checking up on us and always giving their recommendations. And the vibes inside are very nice because there was a person playing live piano and inviting customers to come up and sing some Christmas songs.

When you hear Andrea Bocelli, you know the food finna be bussin' Came here a second time and it didn't disappoint. No Tony, but the service was excellent. I love lasagna. Still too dark to take decent photos, but whatever--I'm here to grub!

This place was such a pleasant surprise to find and dine at! It's in the middle of a grocery plaza / strip mall with a few other stores. We came for an early dinner and it was already filling up with other tables. They have a nice selection of Italian pastas and other dishes. We went with sharing two pastas that were both amazing! The place definitely feels like it's been around for a while but has that old school, fancy Italian restaurant charm.

This is it hidden Jewel in Moraga, California! I've been coming to this restaurant over 18 years originally in Lafayette, CA New location in Moraga is even more authentic Tony, who has been with the company for many years will give you the best Service and make you like family Owner/chef (Jeff) grew up in the industry is one of the best chef/owners of one best Italian restaurant in bay area Friday or Saturday nights they have piano playing

We like the Italian restaurant near the Moraga movie theater but we thought we'll give this a try. The seating was much more comfortable and spacious. The waiter was attentive and humorous (a great way to start). We started off with jumbo prawns and they were delicious, (couldn't help but dipped the bread in the sauce). For the main dishes, we had halibut special, veal and fettuccine alla puttanesca. Needless to say, we 'licked' our plates, no joke. Veal was tender; halibut was cooked to perfection; fettuccine was topped with diced salmon, calamari and prawns. They are not stingy on those! That's for sure . Of course there's always room for dessert even though our bellies were full. Affogato and chocolate cake completed our meal. The only thing that took us surprise was the 3.5% charge when paying with a credit card. Guess we missed the sign at the front podium. Other than that, it was a pleasant surprise to find another great Italian restaurant.

    Rigatoni di Parma
    Stephanie T.

Very comfy place, the live performance from the pianist was lively. We started with free bread with an olive oil dip. The bread was light and a good starter. We ordered the rigatoni di Parma for 24 dollars and Polenta alla Contadina for 13. The rigatoni was very rich and filling. I wasn't very hungry coming into this restaurant, so I was full about half a plate into the rigatoni. The polenta was alright. It's a good place in town, you can't go wrong!

Blue neon arches, a huge underwater mural, plush chairs and low tables along the back wall. Worth the detour. Chris was working the bar on his second day and greeted us like a regular. I skipped my usual Manhattan and went with the Smoke Break, bourbon with bitters, smoke and black cherry. He nailed it. That is the one I would order again. Kudos to Chris for making the smoke linger and make the drink taste fantastic. I had this one in Oregon and it was cool but Chris did a better job with his method that really did serious justice to the name. My wife wanted the Cucumber Cooler, but they were out of cucumber. She pivoted to Sauvignon Blanc, and they were out of that too. The wine list runs four whites and four reds, so there is not much room to maneuver if the cocktails are not your thing. Chris read the situation, offered up a Paper Airplane since she wanted something refreshing, and put it on the house. Classic good bartending. It was louder than expected for how few people were in the room. On a Saturday with a DJ, music and dancing, I would guess the volume gets close to a rave. Go Tuesday or Wednesday if you want to hear the person across from you, and you will probably catch them fully stocked. My guess is weekends clean them out. Cocktails run 16 to 18 dollars. There is also a 300 dollar tequila and cognac number called La Maria served in a glass rimmed with gold dust, if you have something to celebrate. Happy hour is Tuesday through Friday, 3 to 5. They are on the ground floor of the Waymark apartments at 121 Pringle Ave with a small patio out front and heaters. Great spot to hang out and talk with friends, and a good pre dinner or post dinner stop rather than a destination for the whole night. When those doors shut you are transported somewhere neat. I would go again.

My friends and I like the wings especially, and I used to frequently order the spinach and artichoke dip - one of my favorites! I definitely enjoy it. As for soft drinks, it's the usual. It's mainly cans I think. For some reason, SMC only serves Pepsi and not Coca Cola, but that's campus wide - the dining hall, the cafe, and vending machines never have Coca Cola. I usually buy cans or Mexican glass bottles off campus and keep them in my mini fridge in my dorm (I currently live in the upper suites, Ageno Hall). I'm team Coca Cola over Pepsi, any day! It's funny because the dining hall (Oliver Hall) has Pepsi in the soda fountain, the cafe and vending machines have bottles, and this pub has cans! Hours are severely limited due to the pandemic. Currently I think they are only open on Thursdays. But it's a vibe and it's very good that the institution allows drinking on campus, meaning that people can get wasted and walk back to their dorm as opposed to driving home!
