This is not the first time we have been here. This is the most horrible experience we have had here. We had reservations for 1:30 pm and did not get seated until 2:00 pm. Once seated it took 30 more minutes to get water. Yes, it's Mother's Day - and they have a prix fixe menu, so there should be no excuses about taking orders or bringing stuff out. The table next to us told us it took them 30 minutes to get their biscuits for the table. We are still waiting. Our server took our drink orders and we still haven't received it yet. Oh and they have already ran out of food. Obviously they are not prepared for today. Now we only got two biscuits for a table of 4 - make that make sense. I will update later about the rest of the experience. There is nothing to update because we left the restaurant. I spoke with one manager who just came on shift and she had no idea what was going on. Another manager came to our table and ended up being rude and obnoxious and essentially told us to leave. All I can do is SMH and hope Metro figures it out. But from the look of things they had a lot of issues on sunday.

Plus, they sat at a horrible seat

Worst Mother's Day experience EVER. They were 30 minutes late seating us for our reservation. Sat at the table for an hour and a half with no food. I have a daughter with special needs and they just left us stranded. We ended up leaving without being fed. It was awful. Beyond awful. I would give zero stars if possible.

We came in for dinner on NYE and had checked out the menu on line ahead of time. The weekly menu showed a steak available, which wasn't when we arrived. Not to worry, as they had short ribs with polenta. I was sold. We started the evening with a martini for my husband and iced tea for me. I should have asked if the tea was flavored. It was, which I don't care for. I had a simple salad with goat cheese. Nothing fancy and very good. My husband had oysters, which he enjoyed. He really liked the paella. The short ribs were good, if a bit too rich for me and had quite lot of fat. We had the lemon pudding cake for dessert, which was just ok. We'd been wanting to come here for quite a while. It was a good meal, though quite expensive. Service was good and not rushed.

Love metro!! They made a birthday very special! Great service. I love the seasonal cocktails. The green beans were good as always. The burger here is one of the best but today a bit overcooked. Despite that great flavor! And those fries so crisp!

    Too good! Top notch delish

My husband and I had came to this place back in 2016. It took me forever to try to find this restaurant. My experience the last couple times was very pleasant as well as this last time. Our server, Jim was very attentive, considerate, approachable, And came to check up on us every now and then. The food has always been really delicious. I like the vibe here, I love the table right next to the fireplace. It's very compatible for my taste. The heirloom tomatoes with mozzarella was top notch. Delicious definitely coming back here in the future.

Gosh, I think it's been over 10 years maybe more since we've been to Metro. It is such a wonderful restaurant with consistently great flavors. We ordered pretty much everything on the menu, including the gnocchi, burger, lobster, BLT, chop salad, brussels sprouts, corn soup, truffle, Parmesan fries, And enjoyed it all. I was very disappointed that they don't carry the metro Sundae anymore. That has always been my favorite dessert. The service is impeccable and I highly recommend sitting in the fireplace room for great ambience but if you want a hip or vibe, then sit near the bar I love sitting outside, but it was a little chilly today. Highly recommend Metro Lafayette.

Lovely lunch today at Metro. I had never been here before but wanted to give it a try. We sat out on the patio which was very lovely. It wasn't crowded but the tables were spaced apart nicely so that even if it was, you wouldn't feel jammed in. Our server greeted us promptly and was very attentive the entire meal. Hats off to Vita! We started off with the mushroom flatbread with gruyere cheese. Both of us added salt and pepper and I hardly ever do that when I'm out, but honestly I felt the mushrooms were the issue as they were highly under seasoned. I ordered the Croque Monsieur and my table mate ordered the burger. My Croque Monsieur was absolutely delicious! A home run for sure and substantial enough that I could only eat half. It came with fries which were very delicious. I'm glad they weren't overly salty as I prefer fries not so salty. My tablemate asked for his burger medium rare and it came out well. He did enjoy the burger but I will never understand why restaurants ask you how you want it cooked and then don't cook it the way you ask or at least close to what you ask for. We really did enjoy our lunch though. I would definitely come back. The menu had a nice variety, I enjoyed my lunch and everyone who works there was very nice and attentive.

Menu items are on the high side, so be prepared to shell out some dough. We had a nice waiter, pleasant, cheerful, and very accommodating. I would give the waiter a rating between 4 and 5 stars. It was near closing time when we got there, but we didn't feel rushed to order or eat our dinner so that they could clean up and close the restaurant and head on home. We started with an appetizer and garlic bread (see picture). We had about six pieces of bread and as you can see in the picture, it was on the burnt side. I cannot believe that for the price you pay for a bread, they would serve this. I also ordered a black coffee, but it tasted like it had been sitting there since the morning and tasted really nasty. I asked to have a hot tea instead. Food was good. We ordered spaghetti, carbonara, some chicken dish, and a grilled salmon. All the food tasted delicious and we cleaned out the carbonara and spaghetti. After we ate our dinner, they gave my son-in-law a slice of tiramisu with a lighted candle. Overall, it was a pleasant evening and we enjoyed our food (except for the garlic bread). I'd like to see them do me good and give me a nice garlic bread the next time I eat here.

Parking is free, the outdoor space is nice, and we were quickly seated. After that, it was all down hill. We ordered off the happy hour menu - caesar, cheese plate, shishitos, sliders, and a couple of drinks (none of the specialty cocktails are on happy hour). The beers were the best thing, then the shishitos. Our cheese plate was completely INEDIBLE. You could tell that it had been sitting out for a very long time because the cheese was sweaty and some pieces were MOLDY - like the edge piece of a hard cheese after it's been in your fridge for a while that you cut off and throw away. The grapes were shriveled as well. Not sure how this is acceptable to serve. Supposedly it was made earlier for room service. All they did was take it off the bill and barely apologized - we were in a hurry since it took about 20/25 minutes for everything to even come out and could not wait for them to remake it. Idk, it was appalling and I was hoping for more restitution. Will not be recommending.

I said, no, we prefer the main dining room. Finally, appeared to give in and said she would set-up seating for us in the main room. Thinking she was doing us a favor and squeezing us into a crowded dining room, the room was filled with empty tables. Feedback Park Bistro, sit your guests in the main dining room before offering the patio. That should be the last option for guests to be seated unless requested. The food was ok, but after experiencing so much trouble in getting seated, so many thoughts of why we were 1st encouraged to sit in the patio...

The food in this place was good but the service was so bad at some point I felt like it was a torture. The wait between meals like appetizer and main course was so long not because of kitchen but the server was just gone for long at a stretch. I really wanted to try a dessert but was scared this will again take us another hour to even get the server to come and get our order. On top of really slow service there was an older man who sat in the table next to us and kept talking to us looking at our food. He literally was asking me if you support trump do you like him. He kept telling us how he knew the owner and his wife and has come to this place for 100 times over years and everything is free for him here. This was all ok but I wasn't sure why he wasn't letting us eat our meal in peace. At some point he became a little racist as well, when we tried to take our food goto he told us i won't take this goto. I never take this goto. And then was like ohh you are from India and it felt so uncomfortable. He was like do you watch fox, I watch fox. Then was like I have cable, I don't try to save money. I understand this restaurant might have some old and familiar guest or important people come to this place but they should understand other guest should still be able to enjoy there meal without being bothered by the people who are known. It was one of my worse restaurant experiences, the service and on top of this man who somehow is VIP guest at this place made it so hard for us to have our date night meal in peace. I literally tried to run away from this place. This was almost 2 hrs long ordeal. We came a little before 6 and left at 8 and I never eat for that long. I'll NEVER go to this place again even though I loved the food.
