I'm absolutely obsessed with some of these classes at the HEMET LA FITNESS ...I started just because I needed some help with energy and motivation and found CHATO on Thursday at 11am...it's a silver sneakers class and I was thinking it would be kinda lame but I tried anyway and omg...ITS A WORKOUT !!! I love it and schedule my life around it...I was kinda afraid to try some other classes thinking I was not strong enough but so glad I tried TAMMY's ....its a little over my abilities but she also gives alternative moves if what shes doing is too difficult ....YOU HAVE GOT TO TRY THESE CLASSES OUT...I now schedule everything I do around these classes and it has helped so much with my mobility and inflamation read more

Hello. I attend the LA fitness in hemet and I am appalled at the condition of the gym. I work out at 5 am when the gym opens. And every single morning it's the same. Dirty floors not moped or vacuumed or even swept. Trash everywhere, the provided cleaning towels, water bottles, cans, wrappers etc. and even people's forgotten personal towels, cups and other gym equipment. The weights are an absolute disgrace. Not only are they not organized or at minimum paired up. They are left all over the floor and all around the gym. Does the staff not put equipment back after closing ? It's so depressing to be the first person In when the doors open and come in to an absolute mess. It shows that the club / staff take no pride in their work or place of employment and have no respect for there customers. LA Fitness needs to be held to a basic standard of cleaning at bare minimum. Filthy gym. Workers are more concerned about digging in the trash and to collect bottles and cans. If they did their job instead of rummaging through trash cans for recyclables it would be more productive. Have people there at 5:00 am training 3-4 woman at a time ( guy isn't a la fitness trainer " which plugs up equipment and they get in the way with their stupid tripods. It's really the bottom of the barrel gym. It's beyond disgusting. Wish they took more pride in the place read more

My Girlfriend and I have noticed a couple men in the gym who think it's ok for them to use the woman's changing area. This was brought up to the manager after my girlfriend said she was uncomfortable changing with men in the locker areas. The manager said she'd do an " investigation " and get back to us. After a week and no response back we called the manager and were told there's nothing they can do about it. This is complete bullshit. You simply tell men to use the men's locker area and woman use the woman's locker room. If I had a young daughter , I would not let her use this gym if the management will not stand up for her or her safety. If my girlfriend used the locker area I will be standing out front of it to point any man to the correct locker area while she's in the locker area. My question to LA fitness is why must we accept these people for who they say they are if they don't have to accept themselves for who they really are? I hope this problem gets straightened out before someone gets hurt. It's really is quite easy to figure out what locker room you belong in. read more

so my boyfriend went in today for the "try us out" option to decide if we were going to switch gyms and he had a very creepy experience with one of the workers not only was she very unprofessional but weird she was constantly making him feel uncomfortable after he said i need to ask my girlfriend if we are going to switch she continued to ask why he had to ask me and doubled back saying " i thought you didn't have to ask anyone" then after he left he forgot his ID and he went back to go get it and the nerve of this girl to ask him to keep his id and question him on why he needs it back first of all that's illegal to try to keep someone's id then the girl asked "where are you going" when he kept asking for it back that is none of her business where he's going and very unprofessional LA fitness do better with selecting your employees this girl is weird and creepy read more

I'm just getting re-started on my fitness journey after 5 years of osteoarthritis in my hip, and finally a hip replacement. After being sedentary for so long, I'm really starting at the beginning, and the staff is SO supportive. I want to give a particular shout-out to Alec, a personal trainer there. Although I haven't yet worked with him directly, his positive attitude, and support just have me so motivated. Because I'm just starting out again, I've mainly been swimming laps in the pool, because it works everything but is also gentle on the muscles. Alec was excited to let me know that is exactly where he would start me on my fitness journey, and even recommended other exercises I can move on to, once I'm feeling more comfortable in my recovery. This is the best I have felt in 5 years. I am so excited, and so thankful to be back on the road to healthy body, and Alec, and the staff at LA Fitness have really made that possible for me. read more

My wife and teenage daughter went into the female locker room and saw a man pretending to be a woman, in the locker room. My wife brought it up to the staff and they were reluctant to do anything but said multiple people have complain already. I like the gym and the people that work there, so I don't blame them for being in this difficult position. They should cancel his membership immediately. My wife and two kids are all members and I will be forced to cancel them if this continues. Corporate needs to figure this out. read more

Dumbbells here are never re racked and they SMELL BAD. Over crowded and out of all the la fitness locations I have been to this is the worst! Brown foam in the jacuzzi and the pool is gross too. read more

We recently became members of this gym, and so far, our experience has been great. This gym does not come across as dirty to me at all. Some of the negative comments I've read on this forum seem to be from people who are just typical complainers, overly picky and have high expectations, or perhaps just hate living in this town and like nothing here. Sure, a gym isn't going to be spotless all the time, especially with how busy it can get, but I consistently see the cleaning staff doing their job properly. I highly recommend it to others. I had a workout under the supervision of a welcoming and enthusiastic fitness instructor named Karissa today and I learned not only a few new ways to workout ,but also all the eareas I needed improvement in, which is invauble to me personally. In general I do recommend working out with an instructor to help you reach your goals quicker if you have the time and monetary means to do so. It can make a big difference if you are starting out on your fitness journey or have limited knowledge on what to do or where to start. Furthermore the facility is maintained well and the atmosphere here is good to be around. All of this is to say you should come here to exercise if your interested or need a new change of scenery in your work outs. read more

I joined this gym for personal training but ended up with a very frustrating experience. I was initially told I'd be getting 12 one-hour training sessions per month, but instead, I received only 12 half-hour sessions. When I signed up, I was assured I could cancel anytime. Later, I found out this required a 6-month contract with a buyout option that wasn't clearly explained. They said I'd only pay half if I canceled, but it turned out to be half of the remaining balance--not something made clear upfront. I was also told the company would buy out any unused hours, but when I went to cancel, I was redirected to corporate, then back to the gym, and ultimately, they refused any refund. Even worse, the manager who made these promises unexpectedly quit just two days before I attempted to cancel. If this gym wasn't a well-known brand, I'd seriously suspect this was a scam. For anyone considering their training services, I'd strongly recommend reading every detail in writing and not relying solely on verbal promises. read more

Interior of the gym is nice, locker rooms are very clean... but the pool!! It's awful! I came on a Thursday afternoon and tried to get some laps in. It was filthy. Two used bandaids were floating in the water along with clumps of tissue (like Kleenex or toilet paper) and loose hairs kept getting caught in my fingers as I swam. I did not finish my workout, the water was gross and cloudy. I don't come here often, only when visiting family nearby, but it has really gone downhill. I remember when this pool used to be clean and well kept. It really needs to be cleaned more often. read more

Guess you can't rate 0 stars so, I will have to settle with one. Because this gym is one of very few in the area I had a membership for a long time, out of necessity. However, today I had to cancel. The gym is constantly a mess, dumbbells found throughout the gym even in the sauna, equipment is fairly new but always needs service because rude and belligerent members allow the weight to slam breaking cables, bending dumbbells, and breaking the barbell inserts. There a lot of members here, I go to the gym 6 sometimes 7 days a week and it is always full during normal business hours and late into the afternoon. There are some good people here but recently I see and have experienced a lot of rude a-holes that are trying to draw attention to themselves. Their behavior has ultimately made me cancel my membership. My advice, if juiced belligerent morons bother you, don't come here. If you like to grab and go with dumbbells, don't go here. If you like the ability to follow a workout plan and stick to the exercises without waiting, don't go here. read more

I joined this gym in December 2024. And I have met with Priscilla A. for a personal training assessment. She was great. She asked a lot of questions and really listened to me and then came up with a workout that will challenge me and help me work towards my goals. And, also to show me that the workout is very doable. She had me on some equipment that I had never tried before and that made it fun. Alec also popped in from time to time just to see how things were going. The assessment didn't feel rushed and I felt like they got to know what I wanted out of my membership. Also the gym is clean and the people who work out here are nice. When I looked in on a couple of classes, the participants were smiling and enjoying the class. read more

There's alot machines that to need be service that have been out service for a minute. Then people are sitting at machines on their phones I waited for a minute or three and they didn't do a set so I went found another machine and did my 3 sets of 10 and person was still there on their phone and this happens all the time. I am thinking to drop my membership and go another gym. read more

Why is this place always so dirty, I am not a gym snob at all, dont have an "Eagle Eye", and I am not a clean freak, not a germaphobe But everytime I go here, the equipment looks like it has never had a deep cleaning. I recently Joined LA fitness center. I had a training session with a trainer named Alec. He was great, and taught me a lot about weight loss, and how to meet my goals. I worked with him for 25 minutes and he put me work. After my session was over I felt extremely tired, but the next morning I felt great. The kids klub is horrible . Not the staff but the actual room. No carpet just cement floor. No toys. One baby mat only with an empty huge cement floor area. My son fell and hit his head . Compared to other kids klub this is horrible . We will not be coming back to this gym read more

Despite that I have ton of work to do on myself, I have been a member of LA Fitness for many years. I even have a personal training account that has, unfortunately, accumulated quite a bit of credit. Like many I would imagine in these times, I haven't been to the gym in quite some time. I returned a couple of months ago and was paired with a new trainer. His name is Thomas C. and he's a very young guy. However, despite his youth, he has a strong understanding of how to get results. And, it shows. For what we're trying to achieve, that's what matters. If you're looking to get results, he is your guy. Get going, folks. Don't wait. Don't delay. Don't say it will be your New Year's resolution. Investing in yourself is the absolute best investment you can ever make. It is the wellspring to your potential. DO IT. Go! You got this! read more
